these people posed as plumbers calling my parents neighbours, looking for me and my mum, they are  nightmare, they should not be calling my neighbours or anyones neighbours, i am looking for ways to report these people, they are sick and unjust this is too much..

had a call from this company when asked who he was became very very rude and abrupt and was obviously lying talking about some woman who lived a few streets away and calling on a phone I bought off her over a year ago this is the first time Ive had this call

westcot credit services - Persistent phone calls at all hours chasing someone who doesnt live here. They have been told previously politely and since more strongly to stop calling here but they continue to call !

This number rings at least once a day, usually when I'm having my afternoon nap (recovering from treatment for leukaemia). On looking up the number and finding this site with all these other people being plagued by them, it makes me so mad! What can we all do about it? I'm registered with the TPS, so what else can I do?

These calls are beginning to drive me bonkers. I have never actually spoken to anyone so I don't know what they want, as I never get to the phone in time to answer it. They ring early in the morning and wake me up which is a pain in the bum when you are an OAP! How these people get our numbers I'll never know, but I'm sure it's down to big organisations selling off our data to the likes of India. Last night I got ANOTHER call from an Indian girl wanting to know if I had had my free paper this week!!  I tried to be very polite to her, but it was hard!! I told her that we hadn't had it for years and what was she going to do about it. That shut her up so I hung up! It's time the government stepped now, I think. They seem to be more interested in stupid schemes for kids than protecting us oldies. I'm registered with the TPS as well but it doesn't seem to be making any difference! Rant finished.

I reported it to Watchdog last year and didn't even get a reply from them!! Mind you...........what could they do about it anyway?

Just received a phone call looking for my husband...when i asked who was calling they said its a personal matter between us & Mr.Sykes... which my reply was my husband and I don't have any secrets and if you want to discuss anything with him with any of our concerns then you will have to deal with me aswell in which he put the phone down!!!!!! Is there anyway of stopping these idiots from ringing????

We were getting a lot of calls from these people last year looking for someone we've never heard of, after threatening to report them the calls stopped. Now they've started again, we're getting calls every day including silent ones first thing in the morning. Time to reconnect truecall me thinks.

This company are scum. I receive numerous calls nearly every day on my mobile (I don't have a land line) and as I now know their number, I simply ignore it. Eventually, they'll get tired of getting no response and give up calling me.

My neighbour called this evening to tell me she'd received a call asking if I still lived in the street. They wouldn't give her any information on who or what they were calling about, so she denied knowing me. When she came to let me know, with the telephone number written down, I checked and found this site.
After reading the comments from others I'm sure someone responsible for this site could put together some sort off compilation or report which we could forward to either the Trading Standards or others?
Obviously it's going to take a joined effort to excite some action against these people.

I've had numerous conversations, and yet more correspondence from this company. They have no communication within their staff so everything is duplicated, hence calls and letters re duplicated requests.
They have no quality management system in place, hence no documents or calls are recorded.
Yes, I have debts that have been assigned to this company, they are Lloyds TSB overdrafts and credit cards that I can no longer afford the minimum payments for. The majority of the sums owed are interest payments, which I'm sure other LTSB customers are familiar with.
It doesn't surprise me that LTSB are using a company such as Westcott to reclaim their costs (calculated by their accounts!).

Numerous calls for my next door neighbour told them number of times they have the wrong house.  Finally complained today hopefully calls will stop.

I have been getting this company keep calling, me and my neighbour he is elderly and gets very up set we are both on the telephone preference list but keep getting calls.

Received a call from Wescot credit services asked if I new people at number 162 on my street. I advised I wouldn’t confirm or provide them with any information. They appear to be blatantly contacting people I suspect a scam. Will report to Oftel as I am on preference list.

"An ethical company with stringent standards" Yes you read that right, and it's directly taken from Westcot's own website!

Very clever how they catch you off guard, suggesting that you might know the caller. Again I am TPS registered and ex-directory.

I'm a registered BSi 9000:2000 quality standard auditor and cannot believe that their processes comply with this qualification. I'm on their case and have insisted on a satisfactory answer to their underhand ways within 48 hours; if not, I'll be taking this up with the CSA and OFT.

Just had a call from this number saying they are trying to trace a certain person who stays in my neighbourhood.  I told them that I couldn't say if the person stayed there or not don't like people calling me to ask questions about others and that I keep myself to myself.  They didn't say who they were just that they were trying to trace someone.

i received a call from this number, they ask if i can give then the phone number of a neighbour, they say they are trying to find. i told them i had been told about this scam and i would not be telling them any thing.
i then hung up.
what else should i do if they ring again.

Phoned me asking about the people next door. I told them to jog on. I thought it was against the data law to do. Their are a shower of douchbags.

01482483251 started calling me on my lanndline a few weeks ago. The first few times I picked up the phone but there was no one there.
After that I stopped answering the phone when this number appeared on my caller display. Needless to say they never leave a message on my voice mail.
It has got to the point where they are now calling 2, 3 or even more times a day which is really annoying because I work from home. As I said, they never leave a message and I have never received a letter from Westcot Credit.
