- paul t replies to Nan| 2 repliesHi nan..assuming it is the fs guys who made the posting..they could have been contacting by the regulator or a journalist etc and have felt obliged to comment on here..Its how Metis Law Solicitors became involved..
Personally..assuming it is legit..I am happy they have posted. .
Thurlstone mentioned previously in relation to Gibraltar therefore should automatically come up on a google search for example. - Karen replies to JulieNIs everyone who 'invested' with Capita oak aware that the transfer paperwork drawn up by Capita stated it was an occupational scheme.... Ie ... You worked for them at time of transfer ?
- Nan replies to paul t| 1 replyJust my suspicious mind, then. Glad that you can see a reason for them posting as it just looked odd. That's the trouble when you are dealing with con men, you stop trusting anyone.
- Karen replies to NanThat is definitely true!!!
- den| 1 replyHi everyone today I received a letter from the Ombudsman who has said an investigation will take place..if you haven't contacted him or been contacted by him his name is Paul Strachan. His number is 02076302221 email is paul.strachan@pensions-ombudsman.org.uk
- paul t replies to denClarification from HMRC. .the amount they would be looking to tax as an unathorised pension payment is the amount received...5% I believe plus any associated costs (maybe a few hundred in admin costs)
- JulieN| 3 repliesJust an update to everyone concerned in relation to Capita Oak, I have received a response to an email I sent to Capita Oak a few days ago, an Administrator called Bill has emailed thanking me for my email and apologies for the delay in responding. He attached copies of my original opening unit statement, a members booklet and a disclosure of information letter from Imperial Trustees. He has confirmed that the Trustee bank account has been frozen for some time by the bank and the Trustees are fighting to try to get this unblocked. Pension funds were invested in storage pods with Store First and up to date valuations have been requested from them. We are currently having great difficulty obtaining this information at the moment. I'd like to reassure you as best I can that your pension funds are safe but illiquid at present. The Trustees are also trying to appoint new Scheme Administrators to try and clean this all up. They will send out a Member Announcement as soon as this is set up. I have forwarded this email to Paul Strachan at the Pensions Ombudsman offices today, I have also sent all of my paperwork associated with JP Sterling, Capita Oak etc directly to Paul Strachan, I would suggest everyone who has not done so already, do this asap. Paul Strachan has emailed this afternoon and confirmed receipt of my emailed correspondence. If I have any further updates in relation to this matter, I will update this forum.
- pault replies to JulieNWould love to know who and where Bill actually is Julie..
Would be great to see the members booklet and the letter from Imperial. ..unless they are saying you cannot disclose info..?
Some of the persons on here email me directly (as an IFA) Julie and im sure they will echo the fact that im fighting the corner!! - KAREN replies to JulieNHi Julie, I have also lost my pension and Paul is doing a fantastic job fighting for us all... please confidentially give him any information that you have.
- Andy 8a replies to JulieNYes,
Agree with above. I think all reasonable e-correspondence by email, keeping any potential information fro now on confidential.
Just a thought on a strange statement from Capita / Imperial trustees re. appointment of trustees. Cant quite fathom logic that Imperial (who are at centre of all this mess) are trying to appoint new trustees to clear up this mess they created in first place. Cant see that will ever happen, let alone regulator / HMRC allowing anything other than them appointing respected independent trustees of their own - Peter replies to Den| 32 repliesAny news
- den replies to Peter| 31 repliesNothing at the moment Pete..have you contacted all the relevant people? HMRC, ombudsman, regulator? There'll be plenty going on behind the scenes
- paul t replies to den| 30 repliesThink we have done all we can Peter...up to the powers that be now...
As Den says..inform all parties. . - Karen replies to paul t| 29 repliesAny news from anyone?
- Joe winning replies to KarenHad a couple of generic e mails but nothing else ombudsman dealing with my complaint now
- Gary68I've had the same problem with capita oak and imperial trustee serv with no luck have reported to action fraud
- JulieN replies to Karen| 27 repliesMy apologies for not having come back to you all with any updats, I have had some difficulty locating this site. I have been in correspondence with the TPAS and Ombudsman, TPAS have done a great job investigating Imperial Trustees/Capita Oak, it appears Imperial Trustees have been subject to a 'strike off' on the 8th July 2014 and the Company will be dissolved, I have contacted the Regulator together with Action Fraud, I've also contactrd Store First who say they know nothing about our investments through Capita Oak!! They say Metis Law Sols dealt with all investments on behalf of Capita oak/Imperial Trustees, I have also contacted the SRA, Solicitors Regulation Authority, who I have asked to investigate Metis Law and find out their behind the scenes activities in relation to the pension funds and the whereabouts of those funds and any paper trail. Once this has been investigated by the Regulator and it is confirmed that fraud has taken place, there is a compensation procedure that will follow, there is some light, I'm just not sure how much!!
- Paul T replies to JulieN| 20 repliesHi Julie...thats great progress and thanks for sharing it..
One thought thought though is the fact that as I understood it, the strike off was due to the fact that no accounts had been filed...though this has apparently been rectified...
Will do some digging at this end...
Thanks again.
Paul - Outsider replies to Paul T| 19 repliesStrike off was cancelled 12 July as accounts were filed 9th July.
According to filed accounts the Retired Director Mr Payne is 100% shareholder and its worth a pound.
Ms Orolfo is just a named Director in all 3 companies listed under her name with no share holding. - paul t replies to Outsider| 18 repliesHey...long time since...!
Yep..Payne is the owner...got that a while back and not from the accounts...happy to share what has gone on over the last 6 weeks or so (plenty) with you..though not ideal on here..
Rest assured all information which I have obtained has been passed onto the relevant persons (ombudsman..etc...)
