- Sandra replies to Tony| 1 replyHi Tony
I have been trying for months to speak to Capita Oak and now have seen all these messages feel sick that I have lost my pension. What have you done, have you reported this? - Sandra replies to steve| 78 repliesHi Steve
I have lost my pension to them aswell only just realised this through your messages and not being able to contact them for months. What can we do? - Peter replies to SandraWhere does all of our money go then? It runs into millions of pounds
- Andy 8a replies to Sandra| 76 repliesHi. I'm in a similar position to many of you that have posted. Transferred a large sum to Capita Oak / Imperial trustees last April. After this tried to get some sort of official documents of said investment in Storefirst. Smelled a rat and asked for transfer soon after via an IFA. They stalled and stalled for months and was getting frantic. Still reassured me that all money was invested. Got Pensions Ombudsman involved in December, and also contacted Pensions Regulator and complained under the terms of their 'whistleblowing ' advice. On this they have a duty to invesitigate trustees if their have been concerns over maladministration and appoint an independent trustee. The Ombudsman has been having the same problem as I had ie.. no contact, and have been in contact with the Regulator. All the Regulator will say is that this is being investigated. I have contacted and written to Storefirst who confirm that the Capita Oak pension is still invested in Storefirst ( but who knows how much of the original - one can only hope). Will post next to this (out of space)
- Andy 8a replies to Andy 8a| 46 repliesYES, cont.. Please would all involved in this Capita Oak / Imperial Trustees / Storefirst conact:::
Jane Stephens, Senior Investigator, Pensions Ombudsman, also The Pensions regulator, if you haven't done already, and also Storefirst at their head office. Keep writing and keep pressure up, as I am aware The Pensions Regulator is investigating this and must surely freeze this pension an appoint an independent Trustee. However when I contact the Regulator, they cannot comment at all on an ongoing investigation. But please contact in writing to the above contact at the Ombudsman outlining your position. The contacts at Capita Oak / Imperial Trustees all appear to have gone, as has the Storefirst agent Kayleigh so can only hope that the Ombudsman and Regulator do their job and get an Independent Trustee to get this pension scheme out of storefirst and secure any funds in it. - Andy 8aI think it is fair enough to contact all the organisations mentioned like Police, Action Fraud , Mail on sunday, but see the only hope of this being resolved is to go through the Pensions Regulator, who can effectively take hold of this pension and wind it up so that we can get our money back, and prosecute the individuals. The wont give you any information, but please if you haven't already contact them in writing ASAP. The same goes for Jane Stephens at the Ombudsman, who have less powers.
On another matter, has anyone who has a bit of IT knowledge thought about setting up a website so everything can be co-ordinated. Everyone has to stick together on this and not off on tangents with everybody getting someone different to help them. Regulator and Ombudsman is key to this. - andy 8a replies to Paul T| 3 repliesPlease see my posts from today 30 April.... Please contact the Pensions Regulator, and keep pressure on . They wont tell you anything, but they are the only organisation that can do anything...ie. freeze the scheme and appoint an independent trustee. Please make yourself familiar with their site, and be familiar with the differing roles of the Ombudsman an Regulator. On the Regulator site look up the case of GP Noble and see how the Regulator recouped 60-70% of that fund, and that case on the face of it looked much more fraudulent than this and resulted in heavy prison sentances
- Paul T replies to andy 8a| 2 repliesHi Andy...Im an IFA who has been doing exactly that on behalf of a client..The Pension Regulator, FCA and Action Fraud are all kept in the loop even though it does feel like banging your head against brick wall...my concern is that the regulator cant freeze something that doesnt exist...I believe that there is one person masterminding this and I believe we will put him away.
- Andy 8a replies to Paul T| 1 replyThanks Paul. Its good to know that you are involved in this. Yes , as mentioned Ive also been in contact with The Pensions Regulator, and can only hope that there is a fund or investment there that can be frozen. Storefirst do confirm that this fund is invested with them, but after sending several letters to them, they have never replied. They would not confirm either if Capita Oak is listed under CO Trustees on their website showing who are the most prominent investors. (do a search for investing in Storefirst- and it lists who are the biggest investors)
I can only pray that the Regulator does the appropriate thing and appoint a Trustee ASAP - Paul T replies to Andy 8aWill speak to Jayne Stephens...the Mail on Sunday are rather interested too...getting to the point where I am thinking we need to be careful what we say on here, just to be safe...hence the comments previous of an email/website etc..I guess..
- Den replies to Andy 8a| 38 repliesHi Andy
Have you got Jane Stephens contact details please or do you just send to the Pensions Ombudsman attention Jane Stephens? Looks like there have been quite a few of us trapped by these [***]..like you say if we keep the pressure up we've got more of a chance..They've taken £108,000 of my hard earned money given me sleepless nights risked my future I want them caught prosecuted hopefully jailed..and hopefully all of our money back..I guess we all live in different parts of the country I'm in Essex, too far to go and bang on their doors. I went to Imperial Trustees office which turned out to be an address for a company that does secretarial work for loads of different companies. The guy I spoke to was helpful, his name is Mark Hassett he is on 02086502999..Also eveyone should call the solicitors Capita Oak has used with their investments Metis Law Solicitors they are based in Leeds 01132424099 - Andy 8a replies to Den| 37 repliesHi Den
Contact Jane Stephens, Senior Investigator, Pensions Ombudsman (Address on Website). Also Contact in writing to The Pensions Regulator. Send photocopies of all correspondence and tell the Regulator of concerns over Maladministration as outlined by their whistleblowing section. Don't be put off by their generic reply as the cant comment on on going cases
To All --- I think I may start a thread on the money saving expert site, as it may be easier and help others looking for information on this subject. ie- it may be easier to get a hit when it is googled - Andy 8a replies to Andy 8aHi
as previously stated I have started a thread in moneysavingexpert.com under Capita Oak Pension concerns. I think this may be better to serve the purpose of getting others affected to find and join in. You need to register first. I hope that everyone can be coordinated in their efforts with Action Fraud, Police Pensions Ombudsman and The Pensions Regulator (TPR) - Den replies to Andy 8a| 35 repliesI have spoken to the regulator and the guy I spoke was writing stuff down i.e names and numbers..do you think I should post all the information? I'll write to Jane Stephens tonight
