Would I be best to do do what you have done does thurtstone management still exist has that where the money went to I have there fax number

I've sent a letter to them demanding to know where my money is but the letter has not been signed for / received which is suggesting they are no longer there :(

Thurlstone Management  in Gibralter I'm talking about..the only thing I had with them is the 5% I received when my 'pension' (theft) started

Please refer to previous posts and get in contact with both the pensions ombudsmen and pensions regulator with photocopies of any correspondence and a detailed letter outlining your complaint ASAP. Also write to STorefirst head office outlining same. Forget Thurlsone /Capita oak/ Imperial trustees --- they are long gone.

Hi Den. Please follow up phone call to Regulator with a detailed letter of complaint outlining the fact that you are whistleblowers concerns of administration of the pension fund.

The one big hope for me is that Store First are alive and kicking..and they've got access to reps from Capita Oak
and the solicitors Capita Oak have used for investment purposes do exist

Hoping to speak to a rep on behalf of storefirst tomorrow...very nice plush offices..also expecting to speak with jane stephens at the ombudsman tomorrow. ..the interest the mail on sunday has shown is really interesting. .hope to have more on this soon..
Andy..I agree.. capita oak do not exist (if they ever did) at 25 goodlass rd..but sycamore crown do...and according to money expert blogs...its the same guy that owns storefirst..his car was in the car park at storefirst....
Ann...apart from the regulator etc...put a complaint in with the company that transferred your pension..they shouldnt have..simple..

Scottish Widows have been mentioned on more than one occasion on here..can I suggest a joint complaint...if those involved with Widows wish to do so..happy to be involved (IFA)...

I've also got another address for Capita Oak, don't know if any of you have heard of this one

Many thanks for your advice I will be sending letters out this evening.

I had a call from a guy called Tom Johnson..on the message he left on my answer phone  said he was from Capita Oak and was passed my details from another person called Tom Biggar who I've heard of before as an admin person for CO. When I spoke to Tom Johnson he changed his tune and said he works for a company called Nation Wide,he said he was calling to clear up any queries I had..He claims that my money is safe and tied into Store First but when I asked him questions about the addresses of Imperial trustees / Capita Oak he said he's not been involved with the companies since last year ..so why was he ringing me? He also said 'I don't know' to the majority of the questions I asked.I said i wanted my money out of the scheme,he said it'd be best through an IFA,I asked him why didn't Tom Biggar contact me seeing he was from CO..he didn't know,he also claimed the StoreFirst pension is now closed to new investors..which I don't believe as the Store first site is still saying 'Invest with us!' He said he was going to get me an up to date statement..believe it when I see it. he said Thurlstone Management no longer exists and was only there to give the 5% bonus.and not to worry as I'll never have to pay it back.IT WASN'T A LOAN!! it was all very wishy washy. I think they've seen these posts and that's why I was contacted I also contacted the Halesfield Space centre  where there is an office. I think that's where CO is now because the receptionist took my number and then I receive a call out of the blue.

Im actually surprised that you got contact back from them. As stated before, I think the way to go is still through the Pensions Regulator and Ombudsman and their involvement is still very much active. Imperial Trustees have failed in all their obligations as pension trustees (see guidance to trustees on TPR website) and hopefully have to be replaced. If people affected on this site haven't already, please write to them. Ive also written to John Turner , Managing Director, Storefirst at their head office, but doubt if i'll get a meaningful reply. Ive also contacted Action Fraud about this matter.

Letters with all correspondence sent to the regulators and and Jane @ Ombudsman..I think the guy who rang me today was just trying to throw me off,but couldn't / wouldn't answer my questions maybe you all should ring him. no matter even if they proved legitimate I want my money back...Also tried ringing Tom Biggar but phone went straight to answer phone..shocker

I've got a complaint going through with Scottish widows they have sent the 4 week update and are still making enquiries got another 4 weeks I've had a response from L&G  they turned down my complaint within 10 days so that's with ombudsman now

Obviously keep us updated on scot wids but maybe worth mentioning to them you are not the only one..

I didnt receive a call from store first today ..no surprise to be honest. .
Did speak to jane stephens at the ombudsman very briefly to be told "fill in an application" ..said it wasnt like that for me..ifa and trying to help all including her...waste of time me trying...burocracy.
Get your complaints into the regulator, ombudsman and action fraud. .wait and see thereafter..

The docs ive seen re Thurlstone suggest it was/is a loan !?

The 5% money we got through Thurlstone was written up as a loan because then you won't get taxed on it that is what I was told at the time and it was legal..that concerned me at the time but today after speaking to  Tom Johnson who confirmed what I thought was that thurlstone is no longer around. I think he thought i would be appeased by saying 'Now they've gone (Thurlstone) you won't ever have to pay it back' But we weren't meant to pay it back so it's just another thing which confirms we've been duped as far as I'm concerned.
