Be interested to see what stuck out to make them question it, I'm sure it must be illegal to transfer into an occupational pension if your not or have no chance of being employed by sponsor otherwise what's stopping anyone setting up a scheme to access there own pension early (loophole)???

To be honest all the warning signs were there as plain as the nose on your face.  Pension scheme set up and run by the same perps heavily involved in Ark (which was ruled a fraud on the power of investment in the High Court in 2011).  Occupational scheme, recently set up, sponsored by an offshore "shell" company R. J. Medplant in Cyprus, transfers hurried through and assets solely in property, trustee in Dubai who didn't even know she was a trustee, associated loan company Thurlestone.  It might just as well have SCAM!!!! printed on it in big red letters.  The Post Office let so many Ark pensions go and yet seemed to have learned nothing.  Toby Whittaker told me yesterday he thought there might also have been some property in France invested in by Capita Oak.  Lets just hope there weren't any brothels like there were in Ark.

First Ark, then Evergreen, then Capita Oak - and now Westminster.  Same employer, R. J. Medplant in Cyprus.  Same trustee, Maria Orolfo.  Same perps.  Biggest transfer £3,853,883.00.  If this chap liberated 50% of his pension, he is going to get a tax bill of 1,059,817.82.  Plus interest.  Wonder how much his fees were?  Thank goodness Europe Emirates are being very helpful, as is James Hadley.

Westminster is another pension scam set up by the same scammers.  Trustees are Thames - same Director as Imperial.  At least 10 million pounds' worth of attempted transfers - many were being blocked by the trustees because they could smell a rat.  However, if they didn't go through, the scammers would have tried another route with the same client.  Especially the juicy 3.8 million pound one.

Am being criticised for being too open with my criticisms.  If the financial services industry had done something themselves to report and complain about this more openly and publicly three or four years ago, thousands of victims might have been saved.  There is too much tippie toeing going on and too much cowardice in coming forward and stating the bleeding obvious.  Fraud is fraud.  Scams are scams.  Financial advisers are losing credibility and business because nobody trusts them any more - all down to the fraudsters and scammers.  Bring on the criticisms - the cheers of the victims far outweigh them.

Out of interest, are the investments in Store First segregated between the pension members? By that I mean, is there a way of identifying that Joe Bloggs invested X and his policy 12345 of the Capita Oaks pension owns Y percent of a unit/units?

Or, was all the pension money just lumped together and used to buy store pods with no indication of who beneficially owns ( as a policyholder ) what? If the latter case, is it possible that the people that sold this just "did the deal" took the fees and moved on? ( Happy to be corrected on this point ).

I ask this as I am wondering how Store First could possibly give a valuation to a pension member if they do not know what part of what the member is entitled to.

We don't know yet.  Suspect it was the same as in Ark as in everybody's pot was just lumped into a big bucket and it was impossible to unscramble who was entitled to what.  But if you think about it, doing it this way makes it harder to work out who got paid what commissions and back-handers - so a pretty deliberate strategy.
