plagued with this type of call - registered withTPS and that don't work. Wriye to M.Pand ask them to get off their colective backsides and do something about nuisance calls which are, at best , annoying and ,at worst, worrying forolder peopls who should have the right to live in peace !!

Received call from this number again. I have written to my MP, Theresa May (The Home Secretary). I received an acknowlegment response saying that she has written to the culture secretary asking what them to investigate what is being done about these calls. Still waiting to hear further.

Spam automatic debt call!

Our numbers are on all the right lists - and yet we receive endless calls from this company. We pay our taxes - Can the government not put an end to this? Nope. But they hunt little people who don't pick up their dog's poo or play music too loud. A big fat help they are.

We are reporting these calls (from number 0151 909 1965) to the Information Commissioner (ICO) today (25.2.13).

We are authorised and regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and abide by the Principles and Rules.

Should you be contacted by such a company, it would assist us and the ICO if we could establish who this business is.

Or they could be pretending that this is a scam, but actually by publishing this number on their website they are getting more attention for their own business. Just a thought.

You are a wrong Andy. TAPA told me that the 0151 9091 965 calls were a scam and TAPA are always right and to be trusted. They know all about fraud. Google it if you do not believe me.

Received call with recorded message about injury claim (pure fiction)
I pressed 1 to speak to an "online advisor" and it gave me great pleasure to tell him "to go forth and multiply" (paraphrased) - I figure if everyone did this then they would look for a another job and maybe nobody would do such a miserable, thankless and utterly worthless job!

Not debt write-off for me but personal injury claim. So gotta be dodgy, two scams from the same number. Don't press 5 and don't press 9 as both will probably add £10 premium rate phone call to your phone bill. Just hang up. It's a Liverpool code. They probably won't call again if they think you're wise to them by hanging up.

I am registered with TPS and MPS and make sure I tick or dont tick the contact boxes on everything I sign up to.  I get my revenge by reporting the number here and on governments information watchdog at www.ico.gov.uk

Immediately hung up.  15.58 on 5th March.

Like most people on here registered with TPS but that appears useless in these types of cases, do not opt-in to anything intentionally so no this is a fiddle.

All my calls go to answerphone. I like to know who's calling me.
Silent call just now. I have no debts, no loans, don't use credit cards.

Just had another call from these idiots, So I called ICO on the number given and the nice lady said they had thousands of calls relating to this company, she took my phone number and mobile number and said they will investigate this company.

Yes they are. The law says that pre recorded calls cannot be made to TPS numbers, and no pre-recorded call can be made to any number, TPS or not, without the person's permission.

Phone rang. I'm disabled & my phone is only for emergencies. It caused me much effort/pain to get to it. I can't see well knocked everything over, just as I get it- they hung up! BT registered me with TPS years ago, so I shouldn't get these calls. I have no credit cards/loans/debts or given my number to anyone (even specified council may not sell it). I was left worrying if this was my carer not able to come. I have poor memory & poor vision, so I was unable to check who this was. It was only when my carer arrived that I knew it wasn't her & was able to report this! The company who own this number seems to have just created a list of all possible phone number combinations & is gradually going through it- looking for suckers or vulnerable people!
