    Harvey and Grant is the name of a dissolved company which is used by DM Designs of Kirkaldy, Fife. They use several double barrelled names, like Bennett & Barnes, Whittaker & Wood and more.  They do this to get round TPS rules.  If you are registered with TPS then report them as Harvey & Grant but include the DM Designs connection.  You may also want to look through some of the other posts on here where there is, I think, an 0800 number for DM Designs.

    Caz, there is no such company as Harvey and Grant.  They are compulsive liars, because they are ashamed of their bad name.

    You were called by DM Design Ltd, a company which has a very bad reputation for breaking the law and disturbing you, amongst many others.  The TPS are fully aware of them, and are acting on our reports of their illegal activity. YOU REALLY SHOULD REPORT THEM TO THE POLICE FOR THREATENING BEHAVIOUR AND HARASSMENT.

    They lie about being Harvey & Grant, Butler & Carr, Balmoral Designs etc, because they're too ashamed to admit the real name of their trashy company.

    Phone the Managing Director of DM Design  Donald MacLeod on freephone 0800 185186 or 01236 739200.

    Tell him exactly what you think of him breaking the law and calling you despite being TPS registered.

    Or if you're near, why not call by in person to speak to him face to face?

    A WEALTHY businessman has lost an employment tribunal after it was ruled that he had kissed and groped a teenage employee despite his wife being in the next office.

    Donald MacLeod, 44, a director of the family firm DM Design Bedrooms Ltd, of Cumbernauld, was yesterday ordered to pay £1,070 in compensation to a telesales canvasser, Lindsay Wallace, 19, for unlawfully sexually discriminating against her.

    Mllionaire businessman had asked to see the girl’s tattoos before the tribunal heard how he tried to kiss her and put his hands on her bottom.

    At an earlier hearing in May, MacLeod admitted asking her for a kiss in exchange for a piece of wood, but claimed Miss Wallace initiated the advance.

    Miss Wallace, from Eastfield, Cumbernauld, had asked MacLeod for a piece of wood in July last year. As they went to collect it from the warehouse, he inquired about her tattoos.

    Miss Wallace, who has a tattoo on each arm, three on her hip, and one on her thigh and ankle, added: “He asked to see any ones that weren’t on show. I declined.”

    After finding a piece of wood, they returned to an office within the building.

    Miss Wallace continued: “He then approached me, tried to place his hands on me, put them around me, then on my bottom. I backed off and asked ‘How do I get out of the office?’ I was confused and very upset.”

    MacLeod denied Miss Wallace’s version of events. However, he conceded that he did ask the teenager for a kiss, before insisting that she then made an advance on him.

    In a written judgment yesterday, the Glasgow tribunal ruled: “We had no hesitation in preferring the evidence of the applicant to the evidence of Mr MacLeod. We made a close examination of the demeanour of each when giving evidence. We considered Mr MacLeod’s demeanour to be somewhat evasive.”

    Just had a call from "Davis and Dean" and when I asked to be removed from their system he said "Nah" and became abusive. I phoned the freephone number for DM Design and said I had a call about kitchen designs but had got disconnected and they confirmed that Davies and Dean is a trading name (whatever that's supposed to mean) of DM Design.

    That's probably enough to make a complaint to the TPS, and I will. Anyone else getting these calls should also complain. Lets get the f**ers fined.

Female caller.  Claimed there were £850 worth of vouchers available to lucky home owners.  Asked me to confirm my name and the first line of my address which she knew.  When she asked me to say my postcode I asked why she didn't have it.  She said it's a post code lottery so obviously that's why she needed it.  I said 'well not 'obviously,' no so she said 'shut up,' and hung up??

    If you have information about misconduct in a company or by an individual please contact the Hotline to help us to protect creditors and the public, and ensure markets work to the benefit of business, investors, employees and customers.

    Our Investigations Hotline is a contact point where you can report possible misconduct to the Insolvency Service. We can then consider whether to use our investigatory and enforcement powers. We prefer you to send complaints in writing (online, by email or by post). However, if you are unable to do so for any reason, please leave a message explaining this on our telephone Hotline.

    Note – the following information relates to the investigation of companies that are actively trading, or which have ceased trading without entering into insolvency proceedings, using powers of investigation under the Companies Acts.  For information on investigations into companies which have entered into formal insolvency proceedings see our pages on Insolvent Companies.

    There must be reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, serious misconduct, material wrong-doing or significant irregularity in a company's affairs for us to investigate.The Insolvency Service does not only investigate the affairs of companies that are subject to insolvency proceedings. It can also investigate companies that are actively trading, or which have ceased trading without entering into insolvency proceedings, using powers of investigation under the Companies Acts.

    Please note – ‘company’ can also refer to a Limited Liability Partnership. There must be reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, serious misconduct, material wrong-doing or significant irregularity in a company's affairs for an investigation to take place. The Service can investigate:

    Limited companies and limited liability partnerships that are active and have a business address in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, including overseas registered companies which are operating within the UK. Companies that are actively trading, or which have ceased trading without going into compulsory insolvency proceedings.

    Investigations are fact finding in nature.  They are not criminal investigations, although they may address conduct which could amount to criminal behaviour.  Our approach is to take a proportionate and realistic view of issues brought to our attention, and to investigate aspects of corporate behaviour which might harm both the business community and the public generally. With this in mind we wish to know about the activities of any company which appears to be causing significant harm to consumers, trade suppliers, service providers, investors etc., who have had dealings with it.  Also where there is any strong indication of serious misconduct in the management or affairs of a company.

    Such activities would include companies that:

    Are set up for an illegal or improper purpose (‘Sham’ companies);

    Engage in, mainly consumer targeted, ‘scams’ where there is little or no intention of supplying or providing the ‘products’ promised;

    Promote, advertise or otherwise participate in bogus investment schemes or other ‘get rich quick’ opportunities;

    Engage in asset stripping operations;

    Target vulnerable groups using high pressure selling techniques;

    Take fees, deposits or other advance payments, in circumstances where there is little or no reasonable prospect of providing the goods or services offered;

    Falsely claim to ‘ring fence’ or otherwise protect customer or client monies/funds in their possession;

    Falsely claim to honour guarantee or warranty obligations;

    Falsely claim official status, approval, authorisation, bonding, licensing etc., from or by a government or other official body;

    Falsely represent, or otherwise abuse charitable, educational or religious status;

    Falsify their accounts, documents of contract or account, or security or references etc. In order to present their affairs more favourably;

    Improperly (and successfully) evade debt and/or transfer assets at under value to the detriment of third parties who have dealt in good faith;

    Are managed or controlled by persons who are prohibited, by law, from participating in the control or management of a company’s affairs;

    Are improperly managed such that reputational damage to the UK corporate regime is likely to result.
    You can lodge a complaint or provide information of undesirable activity or behaviour in a variety of ways.

    I am receiving as many as 15 calls a day which are either international or private caller number withheld. We don't normally answer such calls, but today I did and guess who it was - yes DM Designs. When I told the woman from DM Designs that I did not wish to receive any more calls from her company, she insisted that I had spoken to them the previous Friday, which was a blatant lie.

    CM - Complete M*R*N?

    Do something during the day? You really are very simple, aren't you? I'm sleeping, after working hard through the night to earn enough to pay enough tax to keep you in [***], booze and daytime TV.

    It is BECAUSE we have a life and we are busy that calls from idiots such as these, and probably you, are disruptive and annoying. Did anyone mention illegal too?

    As I work nights, how would you feel if I routinely rang your phone and knocked on your door at 5am? It is a very convenient time for me, on my way home, but it would be very inconsiderate as I'm not giving a toss about your routine.

    Your routine? - ah! I've got it - you sit at home watching daytime TV receiving handouts from us, the taxpayers, so of course in your simple, narrow world you couldn't possibly comprehend the idea of a busy, hardworking taxpayer being distrubed by illegal phone calls.

    If you have any diffculty understanding any of this, let me know, and I'll try to explain it in simpler terms for you. I can see English isn't your strongest suit!

    As someone who has to worked for DM Designs (worst experience of my life so far) I can totally understand why everyone is so annoyed and frustrated. Everyone of the employees in the telecan are selling, virtually, a scam. But to call people scum? Really? Also to call the people who work there uneducated? That is absolutely ridiculous!  I worked at DM Designs to get some extra  cash before I went off to uni, I'm now in my 2nd year studying medicine? Does that make me uneducated scum then? I think not.

    And assuming of course that most of you are in fact homeowners, I think it is absolutely hilarious that grown adults are behaving like immature children throwing their toys out of the pram.

    Don't want to hear? Don't answer.

    And as for "If you have any diffculty understanding any of this, let me know, and I'll try to explain it in simpler terms for you. I can see English isn't your strongest suit!" for someone who seems to think that they are bigger and better than everyone else, you can't even spell difficulty properly.

    The only person calling anyone "scum", even worse "uneducated scum", is you.  I most certainly did not, as you wrongly state. It is complete fiction of your own invention, and libellous. It would seem you need to get your eyes tested, or to consult a properly qualified doctor about your fanciful delusions. Reading clearly isn't your strong suit.

    Your observation is not good, and you appear unable to read and comprehend simple English. Your self-righteous indignation about what you wish to believe is written rather than what is ACTUALLY written doesn't bode well for your intended career as a doctor. Evidence suggests that DM Designs was probably about the right level for you. The thought of you using your powers of observation for diagnosis and snap decision making in life and death situations is very worrying.

    Being offered a lesson in spelling from "...someone who has to worked for DM Designs..." is really very funny. It is all the more amusing coming as it does from someone who puts a question mark at the end of an observation ("...I'm now in my 2nd year studying medicine?"). Question marks are used to punctuate after questions, not after observations and statements. Do you understand?

    It must be hoped that you don't qualify as a doctor unless you learn to read and understand a whole lot better, and you learn to think in a far more level-headed way. The good news is that if it goes wrong for you, at least DM Designs is there for you to fall back on, as it seems to be an equal opportunities employer, able to offer jobs to even the least qualified and least competent.

    There's no need to respond, but I'm sure you'll be unable to resist the temptation, which should offer more entertainment for everyone.
