- Anabelle replies to The ScotsmanYes, The Scotsman, very funny that cm nx bo lx cu nt and all its aliases keep coming here to defend DM Design after admitting that what they do is illegal. Quite why it thinks it will get a warm welcome from a bunch of people who've been illegally disturbed by them is difficult to understand.
It is embarrassing to watch it make such a show of itself as it tries to pretend to be educated, trys to appear educated (even funnier!), keeps tripping itself up and makes an utter d!ck of itself. Intelligence, education and ability simply can't be faked. bo lx nx cm cu nt has perfectly demonstrated that!
But it is entertaining, and I'm sure it will be back again soon, it just can't help itself. - Catriona replies to PatI agree that these cold callers are very much a nuisance to my household, but I think to insult someone's career choices is absolutely absurd and obnoxious, I think the only time "Nx" was referring to you was at the end part of their post and I have scrolled through many posts of people calling the workers scum and uneducated, you say this person is at the wavelength of DM Designs surely not if they can get into medical school, I also do not think they were defending the company as they called it a scam themselves but rather the employees.
- Helen| 2 repliesI worked a trial for this company and I have to say this is the worst company I've ever set eyes on, I can confirm that most of the employees at dm design are teenagers and the way they are shouted and screamed at by the managers is absolutely rediculous! And phoning people from the phone book, I knew immediately something was up, and did not go back! The reason they go under the names "Butler and Carr" "Harvey and Grant" is not down to embarrassment it is because they do not want people on TPS to report them under Dm design. Worst company in the world! But does that make me an idiot, scum or uneducated? I hope not lol! If you all want these calls to end report them under Dm Design instead of butler and Carr or whatever.
- Caller: Dm design
- Nan replies to Helen| 1 replyI have found it better to report them using their aliases and then point out the DM Design connection. However, reporting them to TPS is a waste of time for the reason you give. The numbers they use for their ghost companies are those of companies which are no longer trading, i.e. a packaging company in Oldham and a cosmetic company in Bolton. These calls are now reported to the Information Commissioner's Office, who will take action if they get enough complaints.
- Helen replies to NanAh right ok
- AwaytaefeckwiyaIf you work in a pub, you have to deal with drunks. You work in a sewage plant you smell [***]. You work as a completeandutterw@nkerColdCaller for a bunch of numpties and you will be told to fúck off!
If your boss told you to break into a rivals premises and take a dump on their floor, would you do it? I hope not as its illegal..
Anyways... replies to cold callers do, and always will consist of foul language. If you dont like it.... DON'T FÚCKING PHONE ME!!!!!!!- Caller: Davis & Deans
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Jennifer| 5 repliesSince when was it illegal to call someone? Everyone just needs to take a chill pill
- Pat replies to JenniferEver since The Telecommunications (Data Protection and Privacy) Regulations 1999 created the Telephone Preference Service and the Fax Preference Service.
As it is illegal, stop suggesting that we are the ones that need to take youe chill pill. It is every bit as illegal for D M Design to cold call TPS registered people as it is for me to send a couple of heavies round to your house to burgle and assault you. OK? Got it? YOU need to comply with the law.
Any more questions? - Willie replies to ...How sad and lonely you must be, maybe nobody talks to you all day, so you like a little chat with anybody who phones you at night, DM Design have been done before and will again.
Cold calling is illegal, thats why they use false names to start with, its only if your interested in the offer, they will then say they are DM Design. (why should a 25 year old company hide).
When I told Kevin who phoned me, That I had not requested a call or made any inquiries from the company, he asked if I was registered with the TPS, I said yes, He then said sorry and my details will be removed from the system.
Now, on the other hand, I don't know what you work at, But I am a night shift truck driver, and the last thing I want is being asked to buy a kitchen in the middle of my sleep.
Donald Mcleod is very well known to me, what he's done in the passed, and how he works now, he thinks money talks and will cover up everything, well he found it did'nt work with me in the passed and never will. - ex dm designer| 2 repliesReading all these comments made me chuckle. All the witch hunt and conspiracy stories. There's no body scamming you or doing anything wrong. Its a call centre in Kirkcaldy fife called dm design that fit bathrooms kitchens and bedrooms. The call is to check if you are a homeowner if your not then you won't hear from them again. If you never want to hear tell them its council house or your just renting. Its just normal people doing there job. You can all put your pitch forks down.
- Caller: dm design
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Nan replies to ex dm designer| 1 replyThat's alright then. It's normal for a company to use lots fake names and the telephone numbers of companies which no longer trade? Its alright for them to use the fake names to call TPS registered numbers, knowing that the numbers can't be traced? It's o.k to pretend they are offering money off vouchers when the cost is added to the price? It's alright that these "normal people doing a job" can be verbally abusive when you tell them, politely, that you are TPS registered or not interested? Rather than answer lies with lies like "I live in a council house", I prefer to report their various fake names and numbers, including the name of the original holder of the number, and pointing out the DM Designs connection.
- sazmw32 replies to Nani currently work at dm design and the place is an absolute joke,i would love to get the hell out of there but theres just no jobs, all the factories are filled with eastern europeans,so if like me you have been out of work for a while its just a way to get back on the job ladder.they use various names such as harvey and grant , butler & carr and many others, they have now got a computer system at the kirkcaldy call centre but the data they put on the computer is from old phone books because they want to get pensioners with private/work pensions,i genuinely don't know how they are still in business with all the rules they flaunt.at least now with the computer system if someone is on the tps there is a button to press to remove the details, the best way to stop getting calls from them is to get your telephone provider to put a block on incoming calls with their number witheld,i personally have advised some people to do this as i totally disagree with there methods but its either sticking it until something else comes up or ill be back on the dole,we are not criminals as was said earlier ,i dont no any1 who wants to work there but until all the polish etc. stop getting all the factory/manual jobs people have to work somewhere and im afraid theres not much else!!!
- gilly dHarvey and Grant called this afternoon. When asked for their address, the caller female with East of Scotland accent , said she was not at liberty to divulge. Rich one that when she is phoning me illegally as I have BT restrictions on calls to this number. When pressed, she hung up. Please help to stop these nuisance calls that are getting more and more numerous.
- Caller: Harvey & Grant
- Annie| 1 replyGilly D, the illegal company that calls you is DM Designs who are so bad they have to hide behind fasle names and identities.
Report them to the police for harassment. If they threaten to call you all the time against your wish, that IS harassment.
Also, call the company on their freephone number, 0800 185186 and speak to the Managing Director, Donald MacLeod. All the details are give in previous posts.
You can contact (spam?) them at:
sales@dmdesign.com
If only EVERYONE reported these people to the police EVERY time they disturb people illegally, then they would very quickly be put out of business.- Caller: D M Design
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Nan replies to AnnieIt is also worthwhile reporting them to the Information Commissioner's Office, as Harvey &Grant but pointing out the connection to DM Designs. They use fake names and the numbers of companies which no longer trade to get round TPS rules.
- Karen| 1 replyFor goodness sake there are worse things to be getting your knickers in a twist rather than cold callers. Bloody English are so uptight
And before any of you start I haven't or never will work there- Caller: DM DESIGNS
- Nan replies to KarenYou don't work for them? Funny that as your choice of words is rather like one of their politer sales people. If you don't work for them why did you seek out their number on a site for reporting unknown, unwanted and scam calls to leave your charming message?
- stop moaning you weirdo's| 2 repliesIf you don't want these calls ask nicely to be removed, if your rude to them what makes you think they will do what you ask? If somebody snapped at me I certainly wouldn't remove their number I'd continue to annoy the f*ck out of them and I'm sure the employee's at DM are the same. They have a job to do, they are TOLD to ring you, they don't do it out of choice. Everybody needs to earn a living these kids are just trying to pay their way and I admire them, fair enough the calls are extremely irritating but if you don't talk to them like a human, don't expect them to comply. Iv worked in similar call centres before and believe me its not easy, give these poor kids a break. Let's be honest every single person who has complained has wasted their time its clearly not working so why do you continue to try? And who ever 'nan' is, you seem to have some sort off obsession with damaging the companies reputation, its already damaged so why don't you find a something productive to do with your life. Honestly you people are hilarious.

A WEALTHY businessman has lost an employment tribunal after it was ruled that he had kissed and groped a teenage employee despite his wife being in the next office.
Donald MacLeod, 44, a director of the family firm DM Design Bedrooms Ltd, of Cumbernauld, was yesterday ordered to pay £1,070 in compensation to a telesales canvasser, Lindsay Wallace, 19, for unlawfully sexually discriminating against her.
Mllionaire businessman had asked to see the girl’s tattoos before the tribunal heard how he tried to kiss her and put his hands on her bottom.
At an earlier hearing in May, MacLeod admitted asking her for a kiss in exchange for a piece of wood, but claimed Miss Wallace initiated the advance.
Miss Wallace, from Eastfield, Cumbernauld, had asked MacLeod for a piece of wood in July last year. As they went to collect it from the warehouse, he inquired about her tattoos.
Miss Wallace, who has a tattoo on each arm, three on her hip, and one on her thigh and ankle, added: “He asked to see any ones that weren’t on show. I declined.”
After finding a piece of wood, they returned to an office within the building.
Miss Wallace continued: “He then approached me, tried to place his hands on me, put them around me, then on my bottom. I backed off and asked ‘How do I get out of the office?’ I was confused and very upset.”
MacLeod denied Miss Wallace’s version of events. However, he conceded that he did ask the teenager for a kiss, before insisting that she then made an advance on him.
In a written judgment yesterday, the Glasgow tribunal ruled: “We had no hesitation in preferring the evidence of the applicant to the evidence of Mr MacLeod. We made a close examination of the demeanour of each when giving evidence. We considered Mr MacLeod’s demeanour to be somewhat evasive.” - Veronicahttp://news.scotsman.com/news/Director-pays-out-for-kissing.2346667.jp
SEX PEST; Boss tried to fondle 19-year-old after asking to see her tattoos.

A MILLIONAIRE businessman has been branded a sex pest by an employment tribunal who found he had tried to force himself on a young female worker.
Donald MacLeod, the boss of D&M Design Bedrooms Ltd, of Cumbernauld, asked to see Lindsay Wallace's tattoos before trying to kiss the 19-year-old and putting his hands on her bottom, the tribunal heard.
The sales canvasser told the Glasgow tribunal how she was left in a state of shock and fled home in a taxi, quitting her job after only four weeks.
Miss Wallace, from Cumbernauld, said she had asked her 44-year-old boss for a piece of wood in July last year and described how, as they went to the warehouse, he asked about her tattoos.
She said: "He asked to see the ones that weren't on show. I declined."
After finding a suitable piece of wood, the boss took her into a side office and asked her how many sales leads he would get in return.
Miss Wallace insisted she didn't answer and added: "He then asked me for a kiss and I said no.
"He then tried to place his hands on me, put them around me then on my bottom."
She told how she returned to the sales office and called for a taxi home.
Her mother Alison Wallace described how she came home to find Lindsay sobbing and too upset to speak.
She said: "I have never seen her so upset. She is usually a very confident outgoing girl. It has completely shattered her confidence."
However, Mr MacLeod refuted the teenager's version of events.
He said: "I asked 'How many extra leads are you going to get me' and she said 'none'.
"I said 'Okay give me a kiss then'. I expected a peck on the cheek but she leaned forward, kissed me and put her arms round my neck."
Asked if he made a habit of asking staff to kiss him he responded: "No, I don't make a habit of that at all. It was done for motivation purposes. In hindsight I wish I hadn't but at the time I thought it was motivational."
After ordering Mr Macleod to pay pounds 1,070 compensation, the tribunal stated: "We had no hesitation in preferring the evidence of the applicant to the evidence of Mr MacLeod whose demeanour was somewhat evasive.
"In particular he could give no satisfactory explanation as to why he had asked the applicant for a kiss in the first place."- Caller: D M Design
