they have just started calling my home number yesterday,my home number which is on the list which is meant to stop people like this calling you!!  its an odd number tho as its only 10 digits not 11 but when u try to phone back its always engaged! ive never answered it so i dont know who it is or what they want as i simply dont answer numbers i dont know anymore after being pestered for months by the money club!! they will give up eventually im sure!?

I think I found their website and at the bottom of the page is this....

bunch of tossers. Read from a script. Can't even get that right. Trying to sell life insurance. Tell you a load of balls about doing a survey. Just tell um to fXXX off. A good one to give the phone to your 2 year old.

Just had this, too.. Most likey will be costing you a ridiculous amount to answer it / call it back. Best suggestion - dont!

They keep calling and hang up when I answer.

keep ringing me and hanging up. they even rang at 10pm this should not be allowed.

Have entered their phone number (01606 45839) into my phone so know who they ringing before answering. First they get the Devonian phrase for "go away" then they get a referees whistle down the line.

Childish yeah I know!! but waste my time, I will waste theirs (strangely enough it does seem to work as I only just got a call which is first for a few weeks now. Whistle is still handy though.

A quick thought to stop other companies doing same thing.
When completing your UK Election Registration or any other local,district or County Council forms tick the box at the bottom stopping them from selling your information. They do, do it, and it is legal.

Have been getting a call from this number also, they then hang up. Very annoying when in meetings. I have emailed them telling to stop calling, havent had one since

Had two calls from this number in the space of two minutes! The first call mentioned a survey, to which I replied "...at this time of night, forget it!" and then hung up.  The second call I just hung up after mumbling some expletives :)
Both callers said they were from/on behalf of 'Express Direct'

They've called me half a dozen times, always hanging up. Finally today someone actually spoke - she said she was from Express Direct, but she wanted one of my housemates. She's going to phone back though - yay!!

2 calls so far today whn i answer they hang up..

i had their call yesterday - 5.11.2008, on my mobile tel(?!), and didnt got my tube in time and have recalled them at once - no answer, just autoaswer, today i have gone to inet and have seen this very good information, many thanks :)

The company doesn't make money selling insurance. With the amount of posts on here describing calls asking for people then hanging up it's clear that selling insurance isn't on the cards.

I for one haven't ever filled in a survey. My number is a few weeks old. I haven't registered it with anyone except my phone provider, TalkTalk. I haven't filled it in on any forms, on the internet, and only one or two friends know it yet.

The abuse from the company itself, which will not actually be any of the names its staff above are giving, is an attempt to get you to phone its premium rate hotline to get yourself removed. Callers above are describing several attempts to get through and long waits, no doubt at a pound a minute or so.

So use your heads people. Report it to the police and the ICO.
