Missed call on land line whilst at work

This is a new spate of "nuisance calls" that I am getting.  I have added the number to my list of contacts and called them "scam"  so that the next time they phone their ID comes up as "scam".  I then just dont answer.  Eventually they will drop you off their call list as they are getting no response.

They have been phoning my mobile now for a couple of wees, and im getting the the point of throwing it agains the wall. Really pisses me off, where did they get my number from. If they actually talked i wouldnt mind soo much because i would tell the [***] off.

fed up of answering then the prat hangs up who is this creep ..it could be one of my kids and they could be a peodophile

they know my name . financial servicies and hang up after i say yes. [***]

They have phoned 4 times today, you answer and there is a pause before it hangs up. If you phone back it is constantly engaged. really annoying.

Had a few missed calls from this number since Saturday. Answered one about half an hour ago. Talking in background when I said hello, then they hung up.

I just had a call from this number too, asked for my husband, when asked whose calling they said Financial Connections.  They then said hold on a minute, came back on the phone at which point I told them they rang me and I would not hold on for them and they hung up before I had the satisfaction of hanging up on them!

Phoned and then rang off as soon as i had answered

Same crap annoying call, night after night day after day week after week its time it was stopped. If I could find who it its they would never make another call again.

really getting sick of the company. If they phone again today(3 times already) They are going to get sued.  Do they not Know that people do night shifts and if someone does not answer the phone once they are not going to answer it five mins later!!!!! When you do answer the f@@@@rs hang up.  This has been going on for weeks now.  When my husbad and sister answered the phone to them they would not tell them who they where.

I had a call from them this morning and as soon as i answered they put the phone down.

One trick i find qorks quite well is waste the time of that company sit there and if you have speaker let the rabbit on about something that you dont want or need but act all interested...wastes time of yours i know but its a great laugh if half way through you say excuse me amoment i need my hand cuffs taking off :-)

i also keep getting calls from this number? anyone found out who or what it is yet? as with the above comments the voice says line busy when i call back

I have a made a complaint to the Cheshire Police concerning their nuisance phone calls.
If you getting problems from these please could you email the Cheshire Police in Western_DMU@cheshire.pnn.police.uk the reference number being 21476. Hopefully the Police if they receive enough calls may take action. I believe Financial Connections to have broken several data protection laws.

Thanks for the police reference details Rob. I have been receiving many calls from this number and they always hang up on me when I speak. I feel like they are invading my privacy and stalking me so have reported them to the police using the details you supplied us with. I urge everyone who gets calls from this number to do the same!

ps. I visited the website that another poster gave us on page 2 or 3 of this discussion and emailed the company on  financialconnections@exchange.uk.com to demand that my number be removed. Unfortunately these email address is incorrect and I got a bounce back reply. Don't bother with this but contact the police instead!

My wife's had a couple of these in the last few days, asking for me. When she tells them I'm at work they hang up before she gets a chance to tell them I'm at work every weekday and to stop calling.

I'm going to take Rob's advice and mail the Cheshire Police with the reference number. C'mon people, if you haven't mailed them yet about this, get typing!

I'm really pleased that I've found this website and thread. I've just e-mailed the police. I work from home and have been being distrubed by this company calling on and of for about three weeks. Always hanging up when I answer. My number of registered with TPS to minimise this type of calls, but hasn't stopped this group obviously. Would like to think that the police will take this seriuosly if enough people contact them.

i've had them call my mobile for the last two days so i took leah's advice below and called the number from my work phone (then at least i dont have to pay for it) they asked me to type my number in and then said i was removed from their database. we will wait and see if it works!!!!

I've had several calls from this number over the past few days, and they ask for me by name, and say i completed a survey which said I wanted a quote for life insurance.  I have told them i have never asked for a quote but they still ring back, the last call was 1/2 an hour ago.  Will call tomorrow and try and get removed from database, if not will be contacting police as well.
