    To IM GOOD AT RINGING PEOPLE don't think there is any need for that sort of language threatening people and there children I have been recieving phone calls from you also even though I have said I don't want any insurance you still constantly ring my house.After been at work on night shift I might add I don't want to come home and be woken all hours of the day by you trying to sell me something I have already told you I don't want or need

    I have had the most annoying day today, i have had 17 phone calls and most of these were silent calls. On the last one which i answered they were offering me a quote for life insurance which i wanted to go ahead with, so i did and i found it very helpful indeed until i found out that a follow up company had to ring me back....
    so anyway the follow up companys call rang me back with my quote and they do stick to their word and they did find a cheaper quote for me!
    so thankyou for all your help at least somebody appreciates all of you work and effort

    The abusive comments have been duly reported.  I believe that the numerous posts from the 'people' who claim to work in a call centre are all fake and from the same person, and that if there is no constructive advice to be offered in these posts (just personal abuse showing the level of stupidity of the poster), then there is no place on this website for them.  I will keep looking at this thread and keep reporting the comments until you get bored.

    look if you are not interested just tell us and we do what we can its not like we do this job for fun, plus most of the people we ring are on the dole anyway so why dont you get a proper job at least we work and pay taxes....unlike some...

    Hello I Cannot Give my name as i work for the company in question so i could get fired.
    But i am sorry to hear these calls are being such a nuisance to so many people.
    Know what happens is we have a screen up in which we have 4 options no contact, not interested and wrong number.
    So we use this automatic Dialer.
    Now  we Have no control to when the call happens as opperators.
    but we now that when people get reapeted calls it is a big annouyance me myself get them on my mobile.
    i just had 1 about what 5 minutes ago offering loans and he was so rude he wouldnt move off the script and let me know if they were a broker and coz he didnt want to answer the question he put the phone down on me.
    so i know the annouyance i get quite alot of calls.
    Know if you really want to stop anyone from any company phoning you should say you dont live where you live and your number autamaticly gets taken off the system but we cant just do that coz we can lose are job in an instant so when you say it is releiving for us to not have to pitch as we are only Working at financial connexions to earn a living.
    so just tell the people on the other end of the phone that it is the wrong number.


    Now if you are really micked off note the time of the calls on a pad and send it onto bt etc.. And they will sort it.

    But It is not cold calling i do.

    Financial connexions buys data from companys who survey uk residents in a veriety of forms phone,telephone and post.
    so someone if not you has put the information into a form or survay like when you apply for products and alsorts of things there is little boxes you need to untick or tick to say you arnt interested.
    some times the survey companys actually just send your deatials on and we do not know that till we get the calls.

    I know it is hard but remember the opperators arnt the ones who are doing they are just trying to stay off the doll they are young must under 28.
    so if you nicely just explain to them they will respect that more and try even harder to remove you from the list. sometimes we cant get you off the list streight away it can take 24 hours do not ignore the call as no contact means extra calls just answer it and explain that you want to be removed and that your not comfortable to talk over the phone and if you want ask for a supervisor.

    And with the calls that just hang up most of the time that is the automatic dialler now i believe it takes a while to fix that problem but we are moving buildings so that problem should be fixed.

    I personaly dont want to pester people over the phone as i say we just are there to earn a living.

    Yes, Im back once more. However, this time I am here only to say two things and then I will disappear once more.

    The first thing that I want to say is a great big THANK YOu to "Thankful of your work" I know that it cant have been pleasant for you to get 17 silent calls from our company, and I sincerely apologize for that. On the other hand, I Thank you for posting a good comment for us on here. There have been several comments from employees on here, (which I will be getting to in a moment,) but, since we do work here, I dont suppose they count for much with regards to the people who have complained, so it is nice to see a sincere and positive comment from someone else. ^_^ So thank you again.

    In regards to the employee comments, I must disagree with the statement from "R" Each of the comments, (good or bad, and including my own.) have been posted by various employees of Financial Connexions in response to the less than positive comments from many of the viewers of this site. Each of the comments that have been posted under various pseudonyms are from different people, not just one person, (explain, otherwise, how my own language differs from the more abusive comments?) each of which does actually work here. I am, (sorry guys) in agreement with the deletion of the abusive comments, they do not, in a ny way, represent this company in a good light, and really shouldnt have been posted in the frst place, but no matter. Too late to change that now.

    However, I do take offence at the fact that only the employee comments have been reported and deleted, and none, or very few, of the other abusive comments on here have been reported. I have, therefore, proceeded to read the other comments, and report them due to their abusive content. Whether they will be deleted or not is out of my hands, but I hope that they will be met with the same treatment that the employee comments have.

    That is all Im going to say for the time being, and I sincerely hope that this comment is not reported/deleted, as I feel that it is perfectly fair, and at least reasonably civilised, even if it isnt particularly helpful.

    Called from mobile 07975-825284 one afternoon then hung up on me as soon as  I answered. I could hear office noise in the background. The next morning they called me from 01606-595892 and asked to speak to a Miss Dubreyfurkin, or someone I'd never heard of. Don't these people realise that once they get someone's back up that they will never buy anything from them on principle.

    I have called 0845 056 0451 and entered my number with the robot to have my number removed from their call list. Just in case that doesn't work I have also installed a free program which will recognise their phone numbers and automatically cut them off after 1 ring (Phone Tray Free). Of course it only works while the computer is turned on.

    To Terry 55 - I will warn you now that I am in an absolutely FOUL mood and am therefored NOT TO BE MESSED WITH at this moment in time!! I thought that I should let you know that NO_ONE in this company is working to deliberatly put your back up, and if that DOES happen, well then, DOWNSIZE YOUR EGO!! We are simply TRYING to do our jobs, and if you get cut off it is through no fault of our own. It has been explained many times previously in this forum that we are on an automatic dialling system, and that if there is no-one available to take your call then yes, you will be cut off. And as for the wrong person, well, WE CANT HELP THAT!! We have been given the worng information at some point, we cant help it, and you need to GET OVER IT ALREADY!!! If you called back and had your name taken off this system, and have added in extra precautionary measures, then WHAT WAS THE POINT IN POSTING THAT COMMENT? Seriously, get over it, and move on already.

    (And sorry about the spelling and grammar, as I said, am not in the BEST of moods, so please, for the love of the non-existant bloody god, dont try to argue with me! It will just serve to wind me up even more!)

    I got yet another call from these jokers this morning, I'm trying to call them back to tell them to take me off their list or face legal action from Oftel

    I do a lot of online surveys, but always tick boxes that say I don't want to be sent information by 'third party companies' or called.

    I had a message that a lady called me, but the person who took the message didn't have time to ask who was calling before the lady put the 'phone down.  I did the 1471 function and it came up with this number, then as I didn't recognise it, 'googled' it and came up with this page.  If it is from some financial services it definitely isn't something I requested, so seems like one of those nuisance cold callers, obviously these organisations still haven't got the message that we don't want to hear from these types, if we did we would ring them!!! It's a waste of time of both sides.

    missed calls try to call back to see who it is and its constantly engaged, but the calls keep coming through.  I wont answer it until I know who it is as my number is ex directory and given to only  a handful of close friends and relatives

    OK, so I've just started getting calls from this same number. There are only 3 or so numbers that can call me which I will answer. One is my brother, One is my best m8 and the other is my landlord (then maybe the odd other number if I'm expecting a call on a given day).

    My problem isn't with the PEOPLE who call, they generally do stop calling if, as mentioned previously, you politely explain that you're one of those good-for-nothing, lazy, work-shy scroungers that enjoys trying to make ends meet on £60 a week (like myself) ...

    ... No, my BIG, BIG, BIG problem is with those automatic diallers ... there is NOTHING more infuriating than answering the phone, instantly hearing a click then silence ... you pt the receiver down, wait 10 seconds, pick it up again and the line is STILL dead ... so you put it down again, wait another 30 seconds, pick it up and the line is STILLLLLLLL DEAD ...

    Now ... If I ever "get a job" or win the lottery ... even though these "people" aren't directly to blame - the problem is that THEIR dialler has effectively BLOCKED MY TELEPHONE LINE - sometimes for over 5 minutes. YOU (the company) therefore are going to take the blame for having automatic diallers which when they crash/malfunction do NOT instantly let go of the line and disconnect completely.

    If I need to call an ambulance in a real emergency one day but my phone line is dead because of an automatic dialler, trust me, there will be a lot more ambulances needed once I've found the companies HQ.

    Conclusion:

    To ALL companies that use auto-diallers ... CONFIGURE YOUR AUTO-DIALLERS TO DROP/CLEAR THE LINE INSTANTLY ON ERRORS - or be prepared to face the possible consequences.
