I've an interview arranged for this afternoon, I started to research the company and was just about to shut down to start getting ready for the interview when I happened to click on this link, suffice to say I am now going NOWHERE, and will spend my afternoon online applying for jobs I would actually consider doing rather than waste the petrol/parking money!!

I guess the only people they will manage to hire will be the ones without the common sense to actually research the company beforehand...!

Thank you very much guys. I am graduating soon and I've been thinking about applying for a job with this company. I am just writing my cover letter and I thought I should check out the company. Well, after reading all your messages, I have decided to spend (or rather waste my time) sleeping :). Thanks a lot!

Hello everyone I have just started work for this company do you honestly think anybody can waltz into here and get to be a manager ? Baisically they'll employ anyone to work the streets it's the people that do well that get to be manager. With anyjob promotions aren't a walk in the park and you have to work for them

So glad I found this site! was due for an interview today but seems I got a lucky escape, i was ready to travel all the way from liverpool, god knows what i would've faced. Is there anywhere to report companies like this? as i'm sure many other graduates will see this company and be taken in by them. You only have to type "Heyes Client Services.. " into Google and SCAM comes up in the form!

    Thanks guys x

To all you LAZY miserable pathetic people who have nothing better to do than moan about people working hard rather than actually getting off your backsides and getting a job! WAKE UP!!!.....where are all your other job offers??? there arent any are there? and you know why because you have no personality, drive or ambition! i worked for this company for nearly a year, and learnt more than i could have ever imagined from the "MD"...which actually means managing director!...the life lessons you learn from these type of jobs, you will not find anywhere else! yeah you dont get a basic pay, and yeah you are self employed, but personally i took great satisfaction in earning every single penny myself, and working bloody hard to get it! with the skills i picked up from working for this 'scam company' i am now confident i will get any job i desire...and i have since leaving them!
The management oppportunity is incredible and guess what its real!!...it just takes some serious hard work and determination!....something that obviousily you low lifes lack!
Now before any of you pipe up with why did you leave then?.....mind your own f-in business!!
Now go ahead and collect your JSA, and feel proud that you are taking money from the people who actually work for a living...oh and while your at it, why dont you go ahead and pop out a couple of kids....i heard the earning potential on them is incredible and you even get a house!
    Enough Said!... LB

According to a police officer in London I spoke to recently, several of these companies are using all the information off your nicely prepared CVs to generate false documents for illegal immigrants working now on your national insurance number, which may give you some problems when you do actually get the job you are seeking elswhere.
This is how a whole load were found to be actually working for government offices including the Home Office which was rather embarrassing.
Rule number one. Never send your CV off to a company you have not actually visited in person and never include any details of your national insurance number or bank details for 'expenses to attend interview'.

I foolishly stayed for 2 & a half months, was expected to work over 10hrs a day, and as a result almost lost my partner, developed health problems and watched as other staff become exhausted but still turned up for work because they would have go fired if they didn't!!
There's is no warning if someone goes it just happens they pick you up & drop you like you never existed..these type of companies will run you into the ground if you let them & must be avoided at all costs as it is all just sales hype!!!
There is room to grow but it will take over your life, this job is for someone who is single because if your not you will be if you stay!!!!
I tried reporting these companies to trading standards but they didn't really want to know, but I do know the people behind it deliberately withhold information from their advertising about the job, teach you how to manipulate people and what words not to use amongst a whole heap of other scheming tactics!!
It's is sad that vulnerable people will be sucked into this vortex and it is absolutely disgusting that companies can trade like this.
You ultimately will be SELF-EMPLOYED, so you will end up paying for all your own expenses which I spent around £50pw on food and travel..your expected to take out other interviews AND PAY FOR THEIR TRAVEL, even if they don't start, you'll be lucky to get any kind of contract and can get sacked at the drop of a hat!!! Work 6 days a week over 60hrs and turn in even if your ill or face being sacked!!!
BEWARE, THIS IS A REALLY UNREALISTIC JOB PERSPECTIVE IF YOUR STRUGGLING STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!

I had a job offered to me with Heyes also. I passed my training and initial interview and went off to start my first day of work, on our way back we got a phone call from another lad, the team he went out with had all left him he had no money and was stranded 3 hours away from his home and had no way of getting back, he ended up walking. At this point i realised the company was an absolute joke and to leave someone in the middle of nowhere like that is an absolute disgrace. Property Surveyor ha more like a door to door salesman for miller pattison. Sorry Brett but your company is an absolute joke and a [***] waste of peoples time, maybe next time James answers the phone to people from London he should inform them of just what this job consists of rather than bending the truth.

so you worked there for nearly a year? how come you didn't get promoted to a manager as they made out? where is this amazing fast-growing opportunity? by reading your comment I really can't work out what made you leave, since you were there so long and so happy--did you even get promoted to the third phase? If you love them so much, why did you leave?

I, myself, worked there long enough! also I did learn a lot, it doesn't stop the fact that the whole company, from PerDM downwards, the whole thing they tell you, from the day they get hold of your CV trying to recruit you, is a complete lie and joke! if you are really self-employed, you should decide what you want to sell, where you want to go, and how long you want to work for. Not in their case! These guys bully people into working incredibly hard for peanuts, and brainwash them so most of them are driven away from family, friends and proper career! What makes me feel sick is how they are using the recession to bully more people into working for them. The morning meetings were always about the recession, how people couldn't get jobs, and the ones working there should be grateful, even if you work 12 hours a day, 6 days a week, pay your own transport, food and are force to take out interviews (which means you pay for the candidate's travel, too).
A lot people who left didn't know the truth they hid away from most of their guys. They make the guys believe once they get to management, everything will be rosy. But in fact, the managers are just as poor as the rest of them. According to Brett Heyes, being able to buy Costa coffee every morning means you've got money! And his suits, OK they may look alright but they come from a dodgy shop in Cheetam Hill. The managers can't even afford rent on their own! That's why they share! One manager shares with several of his trainers! If you were there for a year I'm sure you know the truth!

Can't believe that Heyes Client services actually get away with this.

I recently saw the job app on total jobs and thought i'll apply, and guess what they called me in and i went in for the "informal chat". soon as i got there i just felt that there was something wrong here. My gut instinct was that they seem to have very high unpractical aims esp in the credit crunch.

got called for 2nd phase interview and thought why is it a full 8 hours and thought something is defo not right.

Thanks to you all and this website i won't be going to this day to day interview.

    Absolute scum!

I didn't do too much research, thinking that reed.co.uk was a reputable site that all would be well, I applied to Bradford Marketing and went to a first and second interview! What a mug is all i'll say! It did all sound a bit good to be true.
On the second 'interview' I was told I would be shadowing for a day which I thought was fair enough, expecting to go to a business as they told me they did business to business marketing. Instead i followed a 'top employee' around for a day, who later told me that she'd worked for the company for 4 weeks and had already been promoted to 'accounts manager' ... how an accounts manager does door to door sales I'm not sure.
I felt a bit stupid not researching it before hand, intending to report them to reed and contact them tomorrow about their job description which is nothing like what they wanted me to do! No basic pay and £25 per sale, the girl i followed managed 2 in a day which is pathetic! I didnt even return to the office at the end of the day to speak to "Greg Lawson" or "Jake Bradford" as i didnt think they were worth my time or effort by the end of the day, although they may be worthy of a phone call tomorrow morning!

Worked for Heyes Client Services for 5 weeks, with the promise of being made a surveyor once my CRB check had come through and was told I would double my money. Once my CRB check had arrived (clean) my team leader promised to have all my kit I needed to survey ready for me the following day, suprise suprise he then turned round and asked me if I had bought my kit (a drill, drill bit, grabber and measure) bearing I mind I had not been paid yet. After all the false promises and the way 2 team leaders such as Hilary and Terri treated people who they work with and customers the company is a disgrace. I now longer work for Heyes Client Services and I am trying to get my money which I earned without much success even after various telephone calls, texts and e-mails. I am sure I am not the only one!

Just so you know MD stands for managing director. I do however agree that these companies are a waste of time. If you cannot devise a proper business model that entices customers to buy your products, then you should not be in business.

    Thanks

I'd like to add my experience with Bradford Marketing....

    1. Applied Thursday morning for a entry level graduate marketing position.
    2. Got an e-mail Thursday afternoon saying they'd carefully considered my application and wanted me to go for interview in Manchester.
    3. Went for interview and was asked to fill in an application form (even though all details were on CV).
    4. Had 5-10 minute interview and was told if I didn't hear anything I was unsuccessful.
    5. Received phonecall asking me to go for 2nd interview/assessment day on Monday.
    6.  Arrived at 12.15 for 12.30 start and was left waiting for nearly an hour in waiting room with another 20-30 people after (they said they would ask 6-8 back).
    7. Introduced to "assistant manager".  He said I'd be following him all day.
    8.  We walked me from office near Oxford Road to Piccadilly station and told me to buy a ticket to Stockport.
    9. I told him to shove his "job" up his [***] and came home.
