Did you find aswell that it seems like a pyramid scheme but without people investing in whatever money? It seems like the recruitment have targets of getting atleast 5 or so out of 20 employed....

And whilst helping out charities these decent people who sign up to help them out are basicly helping keep the person at the top in his sports car and paying for his next michelin stared meal?

I actually cannot beleive it is legal aswell, Panorma exposed their self-employed system as a loophoole to not pay them a basic wage, but your given set hours, lunch breaks, targets etc.

I actually hope someone has the balls and inteligence to start some sort of hour long documentry to expose these companies on national TV to create awareness, then that means more and more people won't do what I or anybody else did,it has to be done surely?

Seems so wrong aswell that their main reason for so many recruits is because of the young and naive, and unemployed desperette for will fall into the trap.

I did want to give sales a go (not anymore now) but I had to take my CV and account off the simplysales website as I was getting [removed:lang] off with e-mails from these bellends, their everywhere even if I do live in a City with half a million population, it is outragous.

    Hi.

I've just come across this forum. I am currently unemployed and a MA graduate in Media.
I've been applying for jobs for months and finding it very difficult to get any work at all.

I came across to job applications on Totaljobs.com, the first company was called LJR Ltd and the second Manchester Interactive Marketing. I applied for the jobs at 9 AM on Monday.
The first email I received was at 11AM asking me to call a number and book an interview. I didn't have to call them they called me and asked me to come in at 2:30pm on the Tuesday. I called my Dad as I thought it was a bit strange as every other interview I've had took much longer to organise and get back to me. Me and my Dad came to the conclusion that it was a bit of a con, and that it was just door to door sales and not a career with proper hours and proper wages that I want.
I emailed LJR and told them that if it was that I wasn't interested, they never replied.

At about 2PM on the Monday Manchester Interactive Marketing called, they seemed a lot more believable asking me why I wanted to work in marketing etc and asked me to come for a meeting with them also on Tuesday but at 11AM. When she sent me the confirmation email I was really annoyed to see it was the same address in Manchester and technically is the same door to door sales.

I feel like such an idiot, I so want to get a job so badly but after being educated for so long, all I want it is a real career. not door to door sales. I'm sure it's fine if you're a little bit younger and looking for a stop gap but for me this is absolutely upsetting and uncalled for. What is going on?!
Signs to look for are words like 'face to face product selling', and 'the human touch to marketing', also the lack of wage and hours stated in the advert. I can't believe I've been conned but I'm so glad that it isn't just me, that there is a forum like this telling the truth and that I realised in time. won't be wasting my suit on that interview!!

I was supposed to have an interview with Primus UK in Leicester today at 2. Thanks to an error on my part, i coud'nt make it. Had an email sent by Samantha Walker asking to reschedule.

I just googled primus uk to see more of what they do and it all seems very ambiguous. Full of grand claims and hyped up promotion. I think because of my own ineptitude ive had a lucky escape.

Should stick to what my mum told me when i was young. 'If something sounds to good to be true then it probably is.

I have just attended an initial interview and was only told at this point it was a self employed position not only that if they are looking for people without a clue maybe they should read the CV`s dent through. What a set of con men / women, I have sat and listened to the worst sales pitch from a rep of Primus UK in the Leeds office ever.

This is for the desperados only sorry

Stay way from SRJ marketing in Manchester as well Krishna World Wide Ltd in Bristol. Both this company are scamers make international student work like dogs and use them to illegally to work beyond working hours required in student visa. Not only that you wont get proper salary for the hours you work as well as they company personal lie on many things. They give you fake promises but most people working in company live beggars life. The reality is they dont make that much of money and these company work on white collar fraud. Most people who got promoted in the company in the 5 stage manage program to ownership have left the company after short period due the reason you dont actually have life and dont make money. This [***] not only ruin many student life but also they destroy many people life and end up gaining nothing but many loses. So student please stay out this companies i have mention. I wasted 3 years of my life doing this white collar fraud job based on false presentation by this two companies. I know many student who struggled and scarified their education for this fraud sales representative job. Please be advise these companies will give false information when you start work and make you feel that you need to give full effort of life to be great but from my experience these companies are bunch of  fraudster and they will drain your time, money and as well as your dignity. Anu gulati jain is the most manipulative person i have meet in my life she worst liar and [***] [***]. She proclaims that she law graduate from Cardiff university but in reality she not degree holder but lame admin [***] who works for partner. SO don't be fulled by their [***] lies and appearances. I wasted my life for 3 years and left the company in 2010 and have been working in Merton as software developer. This best decision i have made to live the company.

    Panorama
Dickinson House is the centre for this ENTIRE scam. Every single business on here is linked to Dickinson House.

I am currently working on getting Panorama to do a full investigation of Dickinson House, 20 Dickinson Street. Apparently they are part of the Smiths Marketing franchise which appeared on Panorama a few weeks ago...how INTERESTING.

We have started a Facebook Page, please like it and help join the cause. It is the only way for it to become more public. The more likes, the more Panorama will take us seriously.

Prestigious?!?! Of all the things these companies are....prestigious is certainly not it. The rapid growth comes from the fact that 99% of people that apply get offered a job. However, most people do not stay longer than 1 week (if that) as the job is awful, you lose touch with friends and family and end up more out of pocket than when you started.

Everyone should have some self respect and steer WAY clear of these companies.

    Hi

I submitted a CV on Weds last week, on Thurs I had a call for an interview....from 07557641289 and told me that she was from SMS Marketing Ltd and had applied for a post with them as Sales Administrator. Having applied for so many jobs I couldn't remember who they were. After the call I Google'd them and found their website, which I was not impressed with and thought straight away that something was amiss. On the phone I had been told about their rapid expansion and how they were worth millions. So I decided to run a check with Companies House and found that there was no such company...then I noticed on their site that it was stated that SMS is a trading name of SRM, so checked them out and saw that SRM is in fact a company! As their website is, well, umm…[***]...I thought let’s do a financial report check! Low and behold they aren't a company worth millions, but instead £16,180...so much for a big multinational marketing company.

Along came my interview (today), and as it was only a few miles away thought I'd go for it and try and make several interview faux pas. I turn up at the building 15 mins late and first thing I notice is that the business isn't even signed at SMS Marketing Ltd, but instead as "Global". As I get into their office space I notice something quite unusual - there are no PCs, no printers and no phones! Hmm...fishy! I'm handed a form to fill in and asked return it with a copy of my CV, which I sit down and fill in, but thought being right handed I best fill it in with my left hand, nice an “tidy”. I hand it back with my CV, but oh dear, my CV is two years out of date. Then a guy called Glen appears and introduces himself as the head of HR and disappears. 5 mins later Glen appears again and gets my CV and form and asks me to follow him. We sit at a desk, in a room surrounded by other desks...still no computers or anything. I am told that it was the main work room and that they had been in the building several months. We sit at the desk and the interview begins. He tells me about how big the company is, that they have 38 offices across the UK and that they are work millions. Then we learn about the job and how there is a "4 stage training programme, that will take you from admin to manager in 6 - 12 months". I thought I'll give some blunt answers - he asks "We need you to give and work 250% in this role, can you do that?" I answered "No I can only give 100% as that's what I'll be paid for". He then looks at my CV and he says, "oh, you've not worked in two years and your address isn’t in this area" so I say, I hadn't updated it for a while...despite having sent him my current one when applying for the job. I was asked if I had any questions, I said "yes, what is it like working for a company like SMS Marketing?" With a huff he replied "I am the managing director, I own the company." So he went from HR to managing director in 10 mins, that is rapid job development! After less than 10 minutes the interview is over, he shakes my hand and tells me that he has 12 other people to see today and will let me know if I make it onto the next interview step - the 8 and a half hour 12 - 8:30 group interview stage! I leave....

7:30 the this evening my phone rings "Hi ****, its Glen from SMS Marketing! I am pleased to say you ran a good interview and I would like to invite you along to the group interview stage." I play along and say all the usual things. I am asked to attend the session tomorrow where I would get to spend a few hours in a one to one session with the company Accountant who is keen to meet me after seeing my CV – out of date I might add. I'm not sure why he would be keen as I have no financial or accountancy education or experience. I agree and leave it at that...needless to say I won’t be going! I know I did a bad interview, made several faux pas along the way and they still want me to go back...do they really take me for stupid?! Though will say....it was good to go there knowing what it was and mess about with them as they were with me.

I thought I would look into them a bit more this evening and find that there are a lot of people with bad experiences of them...so thought I would share my little story.

I went on a job application rampage a few days ago and these were the only guys to reply, a glimmer of hope in a tough time I thought.

Times are pretty hard for me, but I put £15 in my petrol tank and paid for parking in Maidstone. The location of the interview was weird, kinda down a back alley in a bright orange building which had no sign, I introduced myself to the secretary and filled out a form and gave her a copy of my C.V. There were about 5 people in the office, all pretty smart and well-spoken, however ignoring that there wasn't much else.

Anyway the interview went well (unsurprisingly) and at one point she drew a pyramid showing how the business works, however she never divulged any details and I was under the impression that this was the first-phase of interviews. I got home and between 6-7 and received the call saying she gave me "a great recommendation to management" and then she asked me to turn up at 12 on Monday with a notebook and pen, I agree but then began thinking about things.

Because I thought I was in phase 1 of 2 of the interview process it was never really explained exactly what it was I would be doing and how much I would earn. So I Googled DCM Marketing and found enough to confirm that this job wasn't for me.

I believe that you probably could earn money doing this, but why can't they explain that you are going to be a door-to-door salesman? I explained that I needed stable income during the interview and they never said anything, it isn't a 100% scam in my opinion, but when they are masking over facts this early on it suggests that things could soon get ugly.

I am the same guy who wrote a couple of posts not far above, oh dear oh dear my mate has fallen for it and taken a job involved in this, he's been jobless for ages so has biten the bait off the hook.

I asked on text messaging "what you up to workwise now", to which he replied "sales" then I said "cool you a trainee or something?", he replied "no", (I knew by this time he had fallen for it because he isn't even 20 yet and to be fair couldn't flog chips to a tramp).

However I then replied "what hours you working?" he replied "12-8"

Then he wouldn't actually reveal it was door-to-door selling bollocks and he said "if I do well I get atleast 16,000-33,000 a year"

I said to him it is bollocks and get out now before you are ruined and he said nothing and just asked "what you up to tonight?"

As people have said, it is all [***] and full of fake lieing people and don't let the fact their so bloody friendly smokescreen your judgement 70% of them are full of [***] make no mistake about it.

From managing director on a hundred thousand a year, to the cleaner on £5.05p an hour in a workplace who talks about what they'll do with their salary non stop?! These in door-to-door crap do, "I am going to buy an Audi RS5 in a few months time, or in a couple of years I'll hopefully be driving a Ferrari 458", haha, everyone's dreams and untold riches all because of door-to-door selling on council estates in the middle of no where getting people who just about getting by to sign up to charities for an £8,50 a month donation.FAKE, STUPID DELUDED PEOPLE!.

We went to a place about 40 minutes from where our City Centre office was based which is a short distance compared to when we went to places such as Salisbury, Didcot, Swindon, etc and my god the driver talked about how in the next few months he wants to save up about 10 grand to get a new car haha, and the funniest thing was just a few hundred would of been an improvement because his tyres was bold, rust everywhere. Inside was full of crisp packets, empty drinks bottles, and even bits of food on the floor like melted chocolate, he had already been at the company for several months.

In the interview with me I let myself down as it is almost impossible to pull the wool over my eyes with anything but I didn't do research and I beleived the [***], the biggest [***] I listened to and beleived was some of the "field representatives" was ex accountants, solicitors etc all chosing to change their busy difficult lifes to take up something else. Biggest [***] ever because everyone I spoke to never had any of them prolific types of jobs.

If you read this as well as all other posts on this forum for the love of god, get out, you'll get your rewards just keep beleiving.

I wished I had read this, having been in the system and fully understand the exploitive nature of the business model I have had to bail out.  I had to put up with Duncan Sharpe, Manager of D S Global Solutions / Supreme Corporation UK Ltd 1 Bath Street, London (Old Street branch), and his uncouth, insults, and derogatory behaviour not only to myself and other members of the team and the degenerate behaviour and language between the team.  In 3 weeks of starting I have seen so many leaders and distributors just disappear - with no mention of them ever being on the team.  After  being advised to go on a road trip for intense training by Duncan, I soon realised that the trip would cost me over £150 that would include accommodation, food, travel to a location outside London, phone expenses to phone the call centre when members of the public subscribed to a charity and travel whilst there.  Put it this way, my being new I did not even generate more than £60 for the week! In other words Duncan Sharpe, the Manager was sending his team on road trips so that we could learn to do our jobs better and perform better - and we the crew were paying for the training!  Distributors and Team Leaders were encouraged to go fortnightly - what I noticed were the Leaders always appeared to have little money - some being in the game for more than 4 months.  In fact most Leaders were making just around £200 per week. Every week the building in Old Street was heaving with interviewees, not to mention the fact there were more than 4 marketing companies sharing the building.  I am told that Duncan's Coaches were American, Josh Cote and Justin and some guy called Kristophe has also been frequently mentioned.  I do recall even Duncan making a joke that the company had been referred to as a scam.  Working 12 hour days 6 days a week in freezing cold weather and witnessing that those who have been in the business longer than you when broken down can come away earning £2 - £ 4 per hour is scandalous and then to be asked to pay for your travel sometimes outside of London both during the week and road trips, plus food and phone expenses - definitely is a scam.

Good luck to them - this is a painful lesson to learn, but after taking time out I know this is one train I needed to get off - my health has suffered.

Bamboozled by D S Global Marketing / replies to Esjaye
When you go on your 2nd interview you have to go on a observation with a team leader.
Duncan Sharpe Manager of D S Global, 1 Bath Road, near Old Street station deals with Events promoting charities so he sends you out to a shopping centre and see the team at work.  They ask you to write a business plan, and for you to provide marketing and business ideas (if they interview 10 people a week it means they have 40 business plan ideas at the end of the month).  Talk about being inspired by entrepreneurial brains - could this be another arm to the business.  Syphoning off other people's ideas and making additional income streams.  Could this be the real arm of the business - they have a dragon's den situation where they can take the best ideas and use their monies to set up a business.
Its just a unusual request at an interview stage - definitely something fishing.
I also was not told I would have to work Saturdays and that my hours would be 12 hours daily, in fact more.  Neither was I told that I was being prepared to sound like a robot to make myself money each day in the form of a script to entice money out of unsuspecting members of the public.
