Yes I too keep getting phone calls from these people.  When I answer they always ask 'Hello, can I speak to 'my first name'  I have the great pleasure of saying NO and hanging up on them.

Receiving on average 3 a day on average of these calls, ignored it for about a dozen times, had my name? asked if i was there, said they had the wrong number and hung up. Hopefully thats the end of it

Had a reply from the email I sent to them yesterday. Came from a Claire Morrissy, Complaints Manager. She wanted to confirm that I had been removed from their system.

Thanks everyone just had several calls on the mobile from this lot....will add it to my blackballer list- this by the way is an app for a smartphone that acts like the 'choose to refuse' option on landlines....it effectively blocks calls from any number that you add to the list.

Just had call from them on mobile stating was owed as result of loan/finance, have neither so explained this at which point they stopped speaking to me even though I could hear talking etc in background and then hung up! How very rude & unprofessional!!!

This number has called me every day for about 4 days now. The one time I accidentally answered, they hung up. Googled the area code after the first time in case it was someone I knew, came up with Manchester. So, no.

I have had a call  i didnt answer the  first time as i was in work... just ignored it but i ha did answer  about 5 mins ago...
I answered with a  "hello" as i usually do and some female answered with " hello " well straight away it put my back up i finished the call......it was a call centre i could here the people in the background there should be a   bloody  law against this type of harrasment...

A friend of mine works for a phone company in Kilmarnock and he told me that the OPS managers take recordings of the calls home and listen to them in the car and at home on there comp....i think this is where we are being sold down the river .....surely this is illegal and should be followed up.....one of the managers laughed about it saying he and his partner listened to the calls in the car on the way  out, so all the details are sitting on discs in his car....also there is a new manager who has taken over the asda ops manager she comes in  telling everyone she has been listening to the calls from home....should i report this

Keep getting calls from this number but do not recognise the number but do not answer them. Thanks for the info people. Do not need harrassing calls at work. If they continue I will contact the police !!!!!

I received a 'missed call' from 0161 478 1080 (apparently Claims Advisory Group). I called them back because I thought they might be an agency offering work. They offered to reclaim PPI for a fee so I said that I wasn't interested. Abrupt hang up!

I keep getting calls from this shower too - I am sick to the back teeth of it - I rush to answer my mobile and then they hang up - I am NOT phoning back as I have read all the comments above.  HOW can I stop them !   They're pathetic losers!

They claim to be able to reimburse creidt protection from anyone you may owe money to.  But it's a scam.  They have called my work number 4 times and I have now reported them internally and had the number bolcked.  

Last time they called I said I wasn't interested and their highly professional telesales person said "Whatever" and hung up.  Nice!

Thanks to the advice dated 1 dec 2010, I have received a prompt reply (see below).  Hope this has stopped it asap.  Most annoying situation, companies' that use or sell confidential numbers should be arrested under data protection act!

0161 prefix on a phone number is a landine from the manchester and salford area ( know because it's mine too) they are asking for a person who has never lived at my address and have been told numerous times to stop calling. Yet... the calls keep coming :/

unknown missed call

Keep getting calls from this number. I never answer numbers I don't recognise.  I'm on T-Mobile & Orange  Didn't have this problem when I could only access Orange network.

I have had 2 calls from this number now, the first time I answered and said hello, the woman kept saying hello and then hung up.  The second call a male said hello and asked for me by name, I replied that it could possibly be me and he hung up.  Neither call gave me any info as to who they were, so thanks to google I can now add the number to my 'block' list.  I'd like to know who it is thats giving out my number though!!!!

Two calls claimed they were based in Manchester dealing with compensation claims then cut off.

am getting calls from this number on my home number and my mobile every night, i don't answer either but its a pain to keep getting them at least its costing them and not me.
