tried to gain all info through phone about some ppi loan called himself mike garwood

This number calls me several times a day at really sporadic intervals. I never answer my phone if i don't recognise the number, however this doesn't stop them from calling. Think they've been trying for a while now. Will continue to ignore if they're trying to tell me that they can repay loans. I doubt it!

Same here - just received a call and they claim that I am likely entitled to make a claim due to a loan or finance I've had over last 10 years.
They asked me what loan I've had - and I said NONE. (not true but that's what i said!)
Then asked about what finance or credit cards i had - again I said NONE. (not true but that's what i said!).
so despite claiming to be able to help - they clearly couldn't - as they didn't really know what i ahd or didn't have!.
They then apologised and rang off.

simply save the number to your contacts on your phone and then under caal preferances (for that number) just set it to divert straight to Voicemail...they never leave a message...SO PROBLEM SOLVED !!!!

All cold callers get on my nerves. A good way to get rid is to start to breathe heavily down the phone and ask them what underwear they have on. Works every time!

I just had a call from this number 0161 478 1190 - I called them back from my work phone and hung up when they answered but an English guy answered the phone saying 'Claims Advice Line, how can I help you'...................

Yet another call.I Did not answer.I only answer calls from numbers I know.This is now harrassment.

Got a call from this number they said the were from sum advisory group sayin that i may be entitled to money back from a previous loan that i had. I informed him that i never had a loan then they asked if i ever had car finance i again told him that i never had car finance or any other loans. He said sorry to hav bothered me an that was that.
My suspicions are it was sum sort of scammer that was goin to ask for my bank details or they could be a no win no fee type firm that try to get money back from previous overpaid loans........

Keep getting phone calls from this number and when I answer the phone nobody is on the other end

Complete nuisence, calling at all hours, when answered no-one speaks. Dont know how they have my mobile number either.

I totally hate this, they keep ringing and when i answer they usually hang up! I did get someone the other end of the phone yesterday and thought it was because i was selling my car, but no i had ducked out of a meeting to answer to some tw@s!

Why don't they feck off!

IGNORE THEIR CALLS

This number is constantly calling me. Everytime I asked the line goes dead.

Sounds like an auto dialler ! .. Thought those were illegal?

Basically forcing you to call them back to find out who they are !

I regularly get calls from this number, usually around early evening.  I have never bothered to answer and don't intend to.

I keep on getting calls from this number 01614 781 190 !  They never leave a message, and I never ring them back.  Glad I haven't looking at the other messages on this web site.

Had 4 missed calls from this number in the last 12 hours. Haven't answered as don't trust numbers I don't recognise.... Googled it and found I'm not the only one who has been receiving these calls. Am going to contact network provider to see if I can block the number.

Been getting a few calls from this number, but always while I am at work and can't answer the call. Thanks for the heads up on what the call is about!

Thought I’d mention: I've never had a loan, just an overdraught which I turned down the insurance for, so I think this is fraudulent.

Contact the information commissioners office with a complaint
also register on the telephone preference service which helps you demonstrate it is unlawful for them to contact you
