just called, i google the number and upon reading all the comments phoned them back. He knew my name and was not making much sense, told him i just googled the number n read all about it, then asked them to delete my number.

I have had numerous missed calls today alone(3while I was sat here this evening), no messages left at all. I have had loans and payment protection over the last 10yrs and I have unfortunately made enquiries online regarding claiming it back so I know how they got my details,however, I have found that you can send the Manchester landline number a TEXT to VOICE message, mine wasn't very polite telling them very colourfully to do one!! Probably won't stop them but hey, it makes me feel better knowing they recieved it because I got a text telling so :-)

Where is this kind of info found please? because I have had numerous letters from various debt collection agencies all wanting me to pay them the same money owed to the same company. Some haven't even got the right name of the company I owe the money to ony the amount is correct which is how I know it's a scam! Cheers :-)

Had a call off them today said I had a loan but I am only 16 and they better not ring again.

They called asking to speak to my husband by name, I told them it was my phone but still wanted to speak to him.
We have had several calls from them, they ring the house phone then my husbands mobile and then mine.  Then play musical tag.
He told them to take his number off their books but they still ring.
We were told that they found the numbers online.

I have had calls from this number for the past week. When I answer the call they hang up. It's really annoying.

0161 is a manchester code cos I used to phone that code a few months when I phoned my banks head office in manchester. Also I just checked it out with 118247 (british telephone numbers enquiries) and they confirmed it to be a manchester code. I got a call from 01614781190 today so I tried to phone the orange network to bar calls from this number as I do not have the barring facility on my mob. Looks like I will have to go into and orange shop for them to bar the call from my phone

I have had a number calls from this number. On the occassions I have answered, the phone starts to ring at their end.  I have hung up before they have answered on the assumption that I will be charged an extortionate amount of money.  Glad someone suggested I goggle the number.

just had a call from 01614781190, i answered, then they hung up. i didnt even get chance to say hello. but i rang 1471 and got the number and tried ringing them back, the line was engaged. if they ring back im going to speak to my landline provider to c if i can block them from ringing me. ive just gone ex dir, but it prob wont make much difference til next phone book comes out. im considering contacting watchdog n reporting them...if they get alot of complaints they may look into them

Ive only been living in the country 2 months and they somehow got my new english number and were telling me about payments I was owed.. I dont even have a bank account yet, nevermind loans.. Totall Rubbish.. BEWARE...
