Call at 1.00 pm today - hung up as soon as answered

Hung up though I answer within a couple of rings. Sound like a domestic number with some music in the background.

had this number ring me just now 9pm they just asked for the owner of the house, its a joke at 9pm at night!
i got rid of them before they could ramble on.

Called and hung up. Has happened before.

3 calls in last week - no one there. 1471 reveals the above number. Guild of Will Writers.
Try going to http://www.theguildofwillwriters.com/ (their web site) and clicking on the contact box. Fill in some spurious details, give a message asking them to call. Give their number 01634... etc as the contact number.
Perhaps they'll keep calling themselves and disappear up their own 'number unobtainable'

Called this afternoon, asked for my wife and I but hung up, tried to ring back several thimes but busy tone. Glad I googled the number and found you guys.

Everytime this number calls i get is the homeowner or tenant there but always just say no and hang up

This number called my home 'phone and hung up as soon as I answered it. I think this number has called me before, and the code is for Strood in Kent

phone rang, when i answered it caller rang off.

on ringinging the number using 1471 got the engaged tone

This number rings my phone about once a month. The Answerphone usually gets it and they immediately hang up. Have sent a complaint today to Ofcom at:

I used to get called twice a day by this company i work nights so they kept waking me up and i rang back only to find it engaged, one day i got though and told them to take me off their list which they did.That was 6 months ago and now they are ringing me again.There is only one way to sort this out-Fight!!!!!!!!!

Just had this number call me...

The annoying thing is, BT are as much to blame as anyone.

I moved into this house a year ago with a new install on a BT line. I am ex-directory, registered with TPS and Silent Call and rarely give out my home phone number to companies.

Now I know for a fact that BT has given me a recycled number, which I'm not very pleased about which is why so many places still have the number and are calling it.

I appreciate there isn't an infinite supply of numbers, but BT should be forced to wait a lot longer before re-using them.

These people are still at it. Thanks to this site, I know not to waste my energy by ringing back.  I'm ashamed to say that I'm merciless with these kind of sale calls - especially when they won't answer any questions I may pose by hiding behind the 'data protection act'.  I'll stop now 'cos I feel a rant coming on.

i just got rang by them but instead of being silent they said:

'i'm not speaking to her, that's it' and hung up!

glad to see other people have had the same sort of problem, otherwise it would have driven me mad!

Have had over a dozen calls now from these jokers, each time they just hang up. Best thing is for everyone to to lode a complaint with ofcom, as they monitor the number of complaints against a certain number or company

Continually rings and cuts off when answered. Ringing back produces the engaged tone
