Getting fed up with this lot but it looks like there is nothing we can do.

Called and hung up, has happened three times today already. Number is always engaged when I try and ring back. Is so anoying, how on earth do I do something about it?

I had the same - but answerphone kicked in so they hung up and i was left with the telephone sound....

This number keeps calling me - how do I make it stop!!  Very very annoying!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was called by the Guild of Will Writers shortly before leaving the house and on returning dialled 1471 to see if there were any recent calls.  The last call was from 01634386678, and I found from Google that was the number of the Guild of Will Writers.  They were polite and not pushy, so I can’t complain on that score, but I am annoyed that they rang as I am registered with the call preference service and this call should not have been made.

This number/company is calling me everyday on Saturday someone actually spoke to me and asked for Mr or Mrs Gordon told them wrong number, did 1471 and it was 01634 386678 so I thought that the calls would stop after that - they haven't.... 01634 386678 everyday accept Sunday! They have only just started so they have my number from somewhere - not sure where as I only give out my mobile number!

Excatly the same has been happening to us. We keep recieveing calls from 01634 386678 at all times of the day and night they never leave a message and the odd time i have answered i can just hear taling in the background the phone just goes dead.

I've tried to call back once and it was engaged.

Anyone know how this can be stopped as it's very annying!

caller stated a company sounding like guild and stated name was TOM called on 20/06/08 at 20:43hrs ..... I asked "WHAT" caller then said "OH [***]" and hung up.

Highly annoying though these people are, it is relatively easily solved.  It is indeed a call centre working for The Guild Of Will Writers silently calling, but they do purge their database using the TPS list.  It is however easy for numbers not to get purged if they are given with spaces between the digits - so some slip through the net.  They are indeed BT customers and listed as "Telemarketing" - but BT wont help you.  TPS can help, eventually, but I wouldn't bother.  Just call 0870 2462000 and ask them  (TGoWW) personally.  I did - spoke to Steve, nice fella, got me taken off same day.

Hung up as soon as I answered. Might have been laughing as well. Or I might just be paranoid.

Complained about this company to the TPS and emailed them.

A week later my girfriend got a number witheld call. The caller asked "Do you have a Will?" to which she replied "no." He then said in a threatening tone:
"Well you'd better get one then".

This is clearly a response to my complaint which I will be taking up with the Police. If anyone finds the genuine address of these scumbags please let me know.

i used to work for this company about 8 months ago & i searched them online to find out if they were still going and found this thread and am disgusted so i hope this helps..... i can tell you the address is 106 in the high street in rainham, kent above a citroen garage & their direct number is 01634372655. the office manager's name is lynn however im not sure if she dealt with the engagements of the tps service but the man who ran it when i was there was called steve. im sorry but to call someone and threaten them is unacceptable i hope this helps.

Have had this number as last number called several times.No message left.This number has been answered also but no-one at the other end.

My mother has been pestered by this for months.  Its was very upsetting for her as she lives alone.  These calls should be stopped.  I tracked the number to a Will company in Medway or Snodland.  We've finally got in touch with the Call Prevention Registry and we've blocked the number with BT.

Calls 2 -3 times a day, no message, no one answers, always engaged when I try back.

Rang at 11.35am Wed 9/7/08 and just hung up.

The caller just hung up.
