The company actually get their information from mailing lists now, this has only come into place in the last few months so if anyone is receiving calls now it is YOU  that has given permission for your details to be given out in the first place, usually when purchasing something or filling out a survey you have ticked a box to say you dont mind being contacted by third parties! May i suggest also if you are contacted by this company or any other and are a member of the TPS then inform the caller and they WILL remove you from their database so you arent called again, there is no need to be rude by shouting or swearing, remember its not the callers fault you have appeared on their screen!

You wouldnt be getting a call at 8 in the morning as they dont start work till half 9!

Sure these people are going to be really happy at you for giving out their personal address as this is not where the company is located! idiot

How do we stop this number calling?

This bunch of scum called me several years ago from an 01634 number and I made a complaint to the TPS about them at that time.

Now they are operating their calls from an Indian call centre that completely fails to screen numbers against the TPS Do Not Call list.  I was greeted with a Good Evening in the UK morning when they called.  I presume that it is evening in India at this time of day.

They withheld their number and did not provide any further information but said more would be sent to me in the post from the UK within 3 to 4 days.

I would personally suggest that anyone who receives a call from this outfit sets up an appointment and lets them come to the door of your home so you can then tell an English person responsible for commissioning the Indian call centre what you think of their marketing tactics and as this will have wasted a significant amount of their time and money in visiting you they may begin to get the message.  Of course make sure you only have this discussion on the doorstep of your home and whatever you do please do not let through your front door.  However I perhaps only feel safe with this technique though because I live in a block of flats with an entryphone system.  I don't necessarily recommend it if you live your own individual home and are of a nervous disposition.

Oh and I did not give my permission for them to call me.  They acquired it from another scam data Indian operation who resold it to them despite me telling them half way through the call from the Consumer Research Centre that I was TPS registered and they had called me illegally.  Despite this they still resold my data to several doorstep high pressure burglar alarm and willwriting companies.

How ridiculous! Indian call centre????! They are calling you from Rainham in Kent!! Yes that may have been them a few years ago yet if you have made a complaint and now being called from india i can assure you it is not them- your being harrassed by another company!

they are no where near as bad as u make out.
they have to deal with death threats and all sorts from people like u when we are only doing what they are paid for. dont make false accuusatios about this firm as they are not actually doing anything wrong.

Its clearly people like all of you on here that have nothing better to do with your time and feel the need to slate every company going, and really stating you have recieved calls frm 8 in the morning till midnight is a load of crap. as it`s only open 9.30-9, mind you guess no-one would actually know that there are loads more will writting companies out there that offer similar service and do call u at all times of night.

the service they offer has helped many, many people myself included to receive the free advice and given guidace on things that to be truthful i knew nothing about before hand, that has been beneficial to the people whom otherwise wouldnt be able to afford this elsewhere.

asked how they got my number as it ex directory bought the list, said we not interested and they will NOT take no for an answer rang my blind mum four times today  asking her and she has said NO on all four occassions

The call centre is NOT in india, just remember the people who work there dont actually want to they are just there as they would like to earn there money instead of just gettin benefits.

and also the reason you may still get called even if you are ex directory is because ex directory means your number isnt in the phone book so other companys can still get hold of your number. if you get called and you are registered with the telephone preference service its because it is old data that they are using. the company just calls the numbers it gets given.
instead of being rude and abusive on the phone tell them politely and NICELY that you wouldnt like to be called again and your number will be removed from the system.
if you are rude they are more likely to just call you back again.

HI respone to your message Faith is actually a nice girl!!! The Guild Of Will Writers is a well established company and have helped a hell of alot of people in this country So all you people out there slatting the company, DONT  all they are trying to do is a job and get a hell of alot of [***] on the phone each day that have got nothing better to do than scream and shout abuse, all they are trying to do is help alot of old people who own their properties and are not aware about property protection etc if they get their houses taken from them then thats their problem!! At the end of the day all the people that are working there trying to earn a living think about it, they could always be on the dole scrounging off the tax payer!! STOP bloody slatting them!!!

Try repeating the same lines on autopilot from 9:30am to 9pm, or work inconsistent hours and see whether you start getting your mornings and evenings mixed up.

I'd also recommend anyone who thinks this sort of work is beneath them to try being unemployed and explaining the Job Centre that you didn't accept the job offer that a company has informed them that they made, because you found out at the interview that they make unsolicited calls.

Conscientious objection is NOT an acceptable excuse to the Job Centre. I'm just glad I never had to stoop to 'disposing of' the male chicks in a factory farm for a living, which would be just about the only legal job that could have driven me to the edge of insanity any faster.

Anyway, back to the reality check: your benefits would be cut and you'd find yourself dependent for a roof over your head on any non-abusive, home-owning family and friends if you're lucky enough to have any, as I'm guessing the self-satisfied middle-class people who used to shout at, mock or patronise us were.

Oh, the mocking questions suggesting I was there for any kind of job satisfaction were the best. "So, how well do you think you've done today? How many people customers have you got today? Oh wow(!)"

Yes sir, if you're reading, I WAS actually intelligent enough to realise for myself that there was no value to my life at that moment, but really, thanks for your concern. In fact so aware was I of the gulf between my then-routine and ultimate self-actualisation, that towards the end I felt in danger of becoming the kind of evil genius normally found only in comic book fiction.

Luckily for everyone else I've gone down a different path and despite the best efforts of assorted members of the public who no doubt believe themselves to be perfectly nice, 'decent people' to make me want to kill myself just a little bit more, I no longer fantasise about world-domination; instead, of making a fortune from which to donate so much to homelessness charities that no one will ever again need to sleep rough while waiting for a shelter space to become available. And the way my life has turned around so far, you never know, it might not remain a mere fantasy.

depending on your phone you can choose what numbers you want to block - I have an iphone and you just click on the number who called you, scroll down then block the number - I have blocked over 10 numbers in there from nusience callers. It now comes through as a text message to say I missed a call......brlilliant!!!
