i got a random phone call from this number

These ppl tried to ring me at 13.06 today
My true call intercepted it and asked who they were and by the looks of it they hung up so did a cold call/silent call which are illegal
If they try to ring again I'll block them totally in my true call and it will tell them to sod off!

keep gettin calls off these people at all kinds of hours during day and night wtf??????

Been gettimg these dodgy phone calls for a few weeks now they will ring up and just be silent np1 has never spoke to me just always silent.

I have just got my number changed and ever since I keep getting this number phoning and saying they are rather busy and for me to call them back. Why the heck should I when you are not after me in the first place. If you don'y have the right number do not ring me is all I can say. I have them ringing every day since I got the new number on Thursday.

calls from this number asking for my personal details,they are rude and abusive......when i asid i cannot give my personal details without knowing why they are calling.!!!!

Had a call from this number at 8-13 this morning! A female asked to speak to my son D, told her he didn't live here - she then wanted to know if she had reached an address in Manchester (she hadn't).
Am not normally rude on the telephone but was annoyed to be woken so early - now I know who disturbed my beauty sleep i'm glad I told her what I thought of her phone call!!

Got a message from rossendales saying I had called them, which I hadn't - I had never heard of them.  The message was at 8.05 on Sat 25 Aug 2012

I have been getting calls from this number at all times of day n night it is a debt collection agency and a very annoying one at that surly they cant phone at 9.30pm and 7.30 am , sometimes they speak and sometimes I get silence they also ask for people who do not live here and have never lived here, I wish they would bugger off n get the hint the company is called Rossendale debt collection services but ive never heard of them n they want me to give my bank details to them over the phone for them to take wat I ow .... yeh ok !!!! .....muppets

Called at14:30 30 Aug 2012. I answered as I know 01706 is Rossendale and I have reason to speak to people there.. When I answered I was put in a queue, I hung up immediately..

Early call - 8:30am on Saturday morning - today - 1 Sept 2012 - looked the number up, and saw this page. All the posts are from 2009 - looks like they're still up to it 2 years on. Silent call!

Been called 3 or 4 times in the last month by this caller asking for my daughter or son-in-law by name, who do not live at my address. When I said what was the call about they said it was a personal matter and would only speak directly with them. Googled the number to find out it was a debt collection agency. I'll be using the advice about giving THEM the silent treatment next time !!

Silent call that goes into: you have called (!) Rossendales Collect, to make a payment call 01706833772 and quote the reference.  No idea who this is, no outstanding debt from anything/anywhere to anyone!

I have been receiving at least 4 calls per week for several weeks - it's becoming really annoying.  They keep leaving automated messages making out i have tried ringing them and apologising for their lines being busy and asking me to ring them again.  I've never rung them so looked up their number today and came across this site.  Thanks for the info.  They can go take a running jump !!

they called me at 9. 04.. ignorned them,, rang them back at 1, voicemailed then put onto to sombody,, i asked why they ring me. they said i had concil tax from 2008 to pay, i said wrong number mate, he asked my name (was correct but i said some1 else) they they said sorry.. So just say i havent recived no letters, and you have the wrong address.... if they ring back this week ill just might calll and ask for management if i dont get through i will just keep ringin (free calls) :). thats my plan if any debt collectors turn up at door they have  a few dogs to get through. then me.. i will do time for protecting my home and vauables from thives who are just a gang(company)..an english man protects his home no matter who or what !!!!!

Got call from this number and girl who called was very annoying and threating.

This an ANNOYING company called Rossendales and they call themselves "Professional Debt Collectors"!
They employ a bunch of INCOMPETENT and RUDE idiots.
Surprisingly (not) local authorities and HMRC use them to chase up the mixed up cases where the debts cannot be proven or upheld.
So they pass their files over to these NASTY BULLIES in order to INTIMIDATE innocent people in an ABUSIVE manner into paying what they would not have to.

Nuisance calls demanding money with menaces, for disfunct organisation.

repeated silent calls. I have delt with Rosendales in the past for a friend who had fallen behind with council tax. They love to lay on charges. As an example, they agree to call on friday for payment but then call on Tue & Wed adding more charges with each visit. They are cowboys and repeatedly break the law

They have been sending me letters for a small debt that is 10 years old and just goes round and round in circels from firm to firm
The best way to handle them is to not give any security details over the phone. State you do not give secure info over the phone and ask for all info to be sent in writing. DO NOT CONFIRM YOUR ADDRESS.

You can cost them money by sending your junk mail to them withot a stamp as it costs them £1.20 a time. Dont let it include your address!
