Absolutely astonishing reading all of these posts!

I was granted an income based contribution order for legal aid towards my legal representation.  The court issuing the order have arrangements with Rossendales Ltd to collect the order monies, this was £644 a month for 6 months totaling  to £3864.  I decided not to take up this option as I managed to get legal representation privately at a cost of £400 to deal with my matter.

Subsequently, I wrote to the court issuing the legal aid order to cancel it as I did not want to take up that option. The court have wrote back confirming its cancellation.  I have spoken to Rossendales to inform them of all this and have also forwarded a copy of the order cancellation confirmation issued by the court.

I am now being harassed by Rossendales with receiving calls all at all different times of the day, I was called 6.30pm one night and 8.00am on the week-en as well as receiving postal reminders.  They're threatening legal proceedings and saying about sending Bailiffs around.  I have taken their behavior to the court that issued and cancelling the order and they have said Rossendales should not be behaving in this manner.

Any one has any advise on what I should do to get theses idiots harassing me for no reason.

I'll be doing the same next time these idiots call me again.

They called me the other day and wouldn't tell me who they were until I answered security questions, my reply was, if you tell me who you are then I'll answer your questions, there reply, you have to answer the questions first. I asked her for her name, the name of the company and for the reason of the call, but she refused to tell me and then said we're going round in circles so goodbye.

As Debt Collectors they should be licenced by the Ministry of Justice.  Check out the MOJ website and make a complaint,making particular mention of the court to which you wrote.  Next time these clowns ring tell them what you have done/are doing, or you could write to them (Recorded Delivery) telling them the action you are going to take.  Tell them you want an acknowledgement, in writing, withing seven days that the matter is cleared.  You could also ask for an apology but probably a waste of ink!!!

I am sick of getting phone calls from debt collection agencies with regards to my ex husband! of over 12 years!
I have over the years passed on more details regarding his whereabouts phone number assets etc. it seems I am being ignored!!   I just had a phone call from the above number from a person who wanted to know my details but was reluctant to give his. Need help with this.

had text message from this number 0773932318 stating urgent action will be taken if i dont call 01706833772 now i not calling back as it dont state who it is or what its for but will be informing solisitor of it and arranging an harrassment case.

clowns just rang me yet again,demanding to speak to myself,when i asked who was calling they refused to say until i had given them my details,i pointed out to the guy or should i say knobhead that i was not prepared to give out any details without knowing who i was talking to,his reply was "listen pal im not here to play games just answer my questions"..after a few giggles i gave him both barrels and called the clown every name under the sun,until they tell me who they are when i ask them i refuse to have anything to do with them,these people have no rights to ring you and then refuse to tell you who they are until you give them your name etc,just give them a right mouthful and enjoy the rest of your day..

Just received a phone call from this number it was an autodialer with a long wait after I answered whilst they hooked up their end

They asked for *name I never heard of*

I said there's no one here of that name and they started asking for my details which I refused to give

We inherited this number a few months ago

Told they couldn't update records without taking my name and that they'd ring back

Why do they need my name and details?

Now I know who they are I'll have a little fun with them next time they ring

You dont have to give them any information if you dont want to, just makes things easier for them if you do. Explain he is your ex and gve them his info if you want and then tell them not to contact you again otherwise you willl report them to the ombudsman and take legal action. That stops them from harrassing you.

Data blaggers... after our data. Just hang up or even better, don't pick up. Criminals don't want us to contact the ICO. It costs them. The more scam and spam calls and texts reported to the ICO, the sooner the number holder is investigated and fined up to £500,000 if they are processing our data by contacting us without our consent or trying to blag our data. A genuine company will simply write.

Hang up on cold callers or even better let it ring. It could be anybody. A genuine company will simply write. Visit www.actionfraud.police.uk to report attempted and actual fraud.

I keep getting these calls, all hours day and night.  I have had choose to refuse put on my home phone, now they are calling me on Mobile Phone.  9/10 times the call is silent and I called them back from a witheld number.

This number rang me at 2pm saying it was a phone call in regards to a personal matter. I asked who it was but they said they needed to ask me some security questions for them to tell me who they were. They askedfor the first line of my address and pistcode. I replied not until you tell me who you are. They repeated its a personal matter and asked for my address and postcode again. At which point i repeated not until they say who they were. They said ok thanks for your time bye. And hung up!! As if im gonna give my address out to strangers. Its like going to a robber giving them your adress and saying please feel free, ill even leave the door open!!! LOL

They are not breaching the law at all... trust me I would know! They are simply collecting debts that are owed. if they ring you by mistake, they take your name and address so they can take you off the system

Just had a call from this number. The caller could barely string a sentence together as he sounded stoned. He asked for my personal details for security which in itself should be made illegal as he could have been anyone !!!!!

had unsolicited call from this number and they then wanted me to confirm my details etc before they would speak to me, to be polite i told them where to go......

Stop being a load of [***] with these people, tell them where to get off. I do and they never phone back again..!
