I listened to a message left on my answering machine but the moron spoke so fast I had to listen to the message 5 times just to get the phone number and reference number he left.

I couldn't make out the idiots name or the name of the company so googled the telephone number and found this thread.

Yes I have debts and yes I have struggled to meet the payments BUT I have worked things out. I have a debt management plan in place and all my creditors have agreed to a reduced payment and either stopped or significantly reduced the interest and my debts are at last starting to reduce.

I have kept to the agreed payments so have no idea why this bunch of vultures are contacting me and have no intention of ringing them to find out what they want. No-one in my family has ever had a gym membership so it can't be that - the only thing I can think of is that one of the debts on the management plan was an egg credit card. Egg have passed on the account to Barclaycard so I guess the debt has gone straight to their collections department which used to be Mercers.

The egg card debt has already been transferred to barclaycard with the management plan so will continue to be paid as per the original agreement so they can ring me as often as they want. I don't care if they rack up a huge telephone bill by speaking to an answering machine.

ARC, Virgin whatever gym thingy?? I had the call today on ansaphone and a text this week. Real funny thing is, iv'e never joined a gym in my life but have jogged past a few in my time, perhaps thats why they are hasseling me, perhaps they are upset as i jogged past and never joined them...lol. as for any letters, return to sender and after a while decided to recycle them and used them for lighting my log burner.... so then ARC as a bit of fitness advice for you all......dont get this trainer cross, lift some weight of yer [***] and JOG ON!!!!!!!

Called me today no security and told me I owed this debt said I didnt know anything about it he said fine they will go to litigation and hung up on me.

Manny it does not make it illegal if you owe the debt.

The caller just confirmed my name and hanged up on me.

This number rings me at least 3 times a day asking for a someone who does not live here and never has done. Try telling them that! What a bunch of tw**ts!

Being harassed by this company even though i had agreed to payment and given them my bank detail they are claiming that i have broken the arrangement and it's my fault the bank won't let them claim the money  ,..not that their representative took the details down wrong ,anyway today they called and left a message with my 11 year old son !! I was fuming so rang them back to find a rood idiot that all he did was talk over me and accusing me of breaking the agreement ....This was the first i new about it ...anyway after 18 minutes of giving as good as i got he agreed to take my phone number off the system and correspond only through the mail ...I have taken his name and am going to put a letter of complaint together as i found him very rood and condescending to the extent he told me at one point i am not a customer but a debtor so have no right to voice my opinion or even have one... fuming !!!

Just had a missed call from this number - never had any Gym memberships ever --- think they are just fishing ....

Absolute bunch of jokers. I've repeatedly told them to knock themselves out and take me to court and they just keep reverting back to the same old threats. They haven't a leg to stand on and they know it. Do NOT be bullied by these c**ts!

So has anyone actually been taken to court by any of these lo (aRC or Trever Munn)?

if all you guys paid your debts of they would never get passed to a collection agency in the first place, think about it, u f**king idiots!!!

There was an item of BBC TV earlier this week regarding an investigationj being made into the contracts and cancellation procedures being used by gyms.  Fitness First and Virgin Activ were mentioned, along with a third company whose name I have forgotten.  Anyone on here having trouble with this might like to contact Trading Standsards for advice.

had loads of amswerphone messages asking for a mrs k not me ive been at this address for 5years
messages say must ring urgent or parcel waiting received one half hour ago saying if i didnt call they
would continue with proceedings outlined in the letter they sent never received any letter nor any mail for mrs k whoever she is. i dont have any ouytstanding debts. i think the call was from ARC the message sounded like SUNARC but was abit garbled im just ignoring the calls although they are worrying.

You all make me laugh, if u all faced your problems then they wouldn't have to keep calling, if people read the terms and conditions before agreeing to things this sort of debt wouldn't arise.  Also I believe its wrong you call them useless as they are doing there job, feeding there children and paying there bills instead of relying on us tax payers. Idont see many forums slaggin of lawyers that fight for rapists and pedos to be released on appeal or to find them not guilty in a trial. One other thing if you really don't owe the money why don't you just post them the evidence which you would have if you didn't owe and let that be the end of it. I would love to see how many of you do that??????

Hey they are doing their job thats all. I had a debt with them and yea some of them are a bit blunt bug i ended up dealing with a guy called ben. He was very understanding and i agreed to pay my balance in 2 halfs he even offered me discount. They are just trying help guys. Be nice its our own fault after all.

Just recieved a call from them and told them i'm dead..... Should be the end of that!
