Hey they are doing their job thats all. I had a debt with them and yea some of them are a bit blunt bug i ended up dealing with a guy called ben. He was very understanding and i agreed to pay my balance in 2 halfs he even offered me discount. They are just trying help guys. Be nice its our own fault after all.

Do not be an idiot, these guys may only be doing their job, but i have it on good authority that they are trained to be rude, and to threaten people with losing their homes, for debits as little as £40,

Take them to the small claims court, cost them money and stick your middle finger up to them..The best form of defence is attack with these agencies, them more money you cost them, the less viable their horrible companies become.

Getting calls off this number for god knows what debt, defo not a gym membership though! I didn't answer so theyve now started calling off a mobile number 07854149602.. Wont be answering to that either..

I just ignore them, constantly leave messages quoting some reference numbers.   If they don't send me a letter I ingnore any requests for money by telephone.

Why is it that the rudest replies on here contain at least 1 f word? I'm a nurse and got into difficulty after losing £12000 in one yr when my son was diagnosed with epilepsy whilst at uni and had to put him thru an extra yr.my car had ecu probs costing £2000 and my mum had a cerebral aneurysm so I looked after her when she lost her sight.perhaps your lives may change as quickly as mine did so choose your words and attitudes carefully... if all goes well.. I might suggest you enrol for vocab lessons

Missed call from this number. I've never had a gym membership either and don't want one.

A rather condesending message. Not all people are saints as you obviously are. We had an answerphone message from a representative at this company today. The message asked for my son to contact a Sandra urgently in connection with outstanding monies. He is 7. He hasn't any debts, obviously, but we are still receiving these calls. I just hope something doesn't happen in the future which leaves you strapped for cash and you find yourselves in the unfortunate position that some of these people have found themselves in.

They have phoned and asked my elderly father to confirm address and his name, he did this now concerned.

Install a call blocker app on your phone and block the following numbers for total peace and quiet! (these are all I could find for this irritating company, feel free to add to the list) Simples.

I received a silent call from this company today. I then rang 1471 and got put through to ARC. I then Googled the number and found this forum. don't know if they will ring back but thanks guys forwarned is forearmed.

Had a call from them today.  Asked for someone who doesn't live here (and the name wasn't even close to anyone here or the previous owner who was here for 40 years!).  Asked for my name "for the record".  Refused to give it to them.  They didn't say who they were.

Thanks The Answer for the list - I have added it in to my phone system. All my phone numbers go via an Asterisk box and hold a database of idiots calling asking for money when none is owed. They never listen to me, so I've decided to waste their time and whenever they call they get put in to a holding queue advising someone will be with them as soon as possible. Longest someones held on for is 15 minutes so far! :)

Complain to the ICO who can fine companies up to £500,000, especially those who ignore the TPS do not call list and those who are still called despite a request to be taken off their call list, irrespective of the TPS.
