I have had a lot of calls about buying a case of wine at £2050 and i could make 12% on this case after they take 10% off.I just got the paperwork out today.How can i stop them from telephone me also how did they get my name address and telephone number? The name on the from is Nick Jackson Office Manager. After reading all your information do i just send their mail back to them and say no thank you?

Ok but if they cold call you with an investment opportunity and sell you it as an investment just as previous post states... Surely that little bit of legal mambo jambo in the small print is less valid?
If only someone had a recording of their sales reps selling the wine as investment on the phone...
Oh and yes hampers are sent every year... However face to face meeting are rare.. This is as the typical sales rep is Black and aged 18-28 but their "persona" on the phone is White and aged 40+!!

The post on money saving expert that you refer to states that "his client has INVESTED" a large sum of money, and also seems to be making profit.. ON PAPER, as a previous poster has mentioned it would be useful to have a recording as I have not seen 1 post where the investor "just purchased" wine, each post suggests they believed they were investing and were going to make a profit,

Also to the previous poster bfw has quoted 12% returns after they have taken 10%? does this mean in theory they reckon the wine will make 22%?

Yes but if this gets legal the small print will matter and the only people who make money out of their investment???? will be lawyers.

How can one stop these cold calls and finding your data do we not have rights  that our personal information stays private? One question to anyone there is so much talk about this group why have they not being stop by the Government?

I'm not sure how to stop the calls, and I don't think enough people realise they are in danger of losing their money yet, as they opened 2008, and in my opinion I don't think they will realise until they try to cash in their investment, from what has been said they pray on the more vulnerable people who may for some reason or other not do their due diligence,

Join TPS. Telephone preference service. Tell BFW you are signed up and they have to delete your records and stop calling or risk huge fines that are currently being implemented.
And yes the small print may count for something but there is hard evidence ie. the quarterly  reports that prices were inflated in order to make gain.. Ie. a Ponzi scheme.. Completely illegal.

I didn't buy but looked at paperwork and it only states 'case', not how many bottles in the case.

How would you get a true value of your portfolio, because if you check winesearcher for a particular case it ranges from  £2300-£3000 and that's a buying price. when it comes to selling would you pick the lower then deduct  say 10 -15% for the broker/merchant margin so the true value would be app £2000.
I could see why some people would be confused with their statements especially if a trained closer is mentioning the words 'its different wine' or 'vintage.
Are there reputable companies who could give a true valuation?

Thank you for that info, the case was a 'Parker' score 100, and has fallen in value 14% over last 12 months
Av price £2285, so the lower end of winesearcher results that's answered my question.
A fall of 14% on a Parker score wine of 100 is a little worrying, is this a one off or the Norm.

He's not sold her some wine and that's why taxpayers have had to fund an extra £200,000.00 towards the Royal household in the last year.

I am a client of Bordeaux Fine Wines and have been for 4 years and am extremely happy with the service I have been provided with.  I have also referred many of my friends and family over this period who are also very pleased with the service. I have reduced the portfolio I have with them over the last year and have had no problems whatsoever getting my money back. I feel like a great deal of the comments on here are either extremely exaggerated or completely untrue. I also noticed that someone had put a comment about storage or something being owned by the same director- is that a crime now to have more than one company?? I am sure that many successful business people have more than one company. From the experience I have had and my friends and family have had with Bordeaux Fine Wines I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to make better profits than they would from conventional areas.

I am pleased to hear that Alan, I really hope my father can say the same once his wine is sold, i can assure you that not 1 of my comments is exaggerated or untrue, I have all paperwork to back up every single comment and claim I have made, I am pleased to hear a success story, and hope there are many more to follow, but until I get some sort of explanation for the discrepancies from bfw, I cant say I hold out much hope.
