Like for example an Armenian or Albanian would find it offensive to be told they look Turkish but you still say it to piss them off, but you don't do it with intention but to teach the person a lesson. Albanians are good friends with Turks today, the past is the past.

Hi all I went there for interview yesterday, as soon as I saw the list where I was supposed to find my name it seemed strange that there were about 150 people on it scheduled for interwiev on the day! I thought since I am here I will see whats next. In the waiting area was 6 poeple with me and only 1 person interwieving. Some candidates were not speaking english that much. Interwiev fast like a lightening the interwiever spoke fast and confusing about what they do, like: we work with talktalk or unicef....ousorcing....they dont tell u what you duties will be but confirm that u need to be at the office every day.6 minutes later all fine if u get selected we will call u. They did of course but I am not going seeing all this comments today. Thank u all for posting them. I have only waisted money to travel. Could have been worse.

    A scam or not?
First off when I applied to the position, I applied for a bar job. I got a call from Platinum & co asking me to come in for an interview for a trainee management position which I didn't apply for. I was sceptical and called the office back to find out what the role actually was, only to be told by a flustered admin that I would find out in the interview.

I was actually suckered into the 'program' for a long time, and tbh I made a fair amount of money, honestly. But that's not to say there wasn't a bunch of weird things going on. We were told to register as self employed, only to be told when to come in, what to wear and what words to say, not just in the sales pitch, but to 'new guys' and 'observations' as well and we were repeatedly told to run all conversations through with the manager before we spoke to the reps. I was also made to go on road trips and office trips even when I said I didn't want to, using 5 steps and the bigger picture s*** to persuade me.
I ended up working 9.30am till midnight most days, and Saturday, being a half day I finished at 9pm :/ which I could never comprehend.

The thing that killed it for me was when the office averages started going down and I still had to feed the observations bulls*** about making £250-£400 on average per week.

The things that isn't a scam, is that you can get to management within the 6-10 months, I witnessed several promotions and even got close myself. What is not spoken about though, is the financial situation after you get promoted. Now looking back, all the managers had very little money. Even at leadership we were told to give off the perception of having money which obviously continued into management. It was a lie, most of the leaders were skint all of the time and were borrowing money off each other to feed themselves. If you are a 'high roller' then life is great and it is a great job for you if you like being employed.

In the morning meetings the managers would inspire the team with speeches and stories to motivate you before going to the field. One speech was employee vs. entrepreneur. In which they listed the difference between the two, its all a lie, even when you get to management, you can name your company but you have no control over it at all.

The crazy thing is, the first couple of weeks are spent quashing all these thoughts that you have about door to door and commission and pyramid schemes, and for months I listened.... an influential person left and explained everything to me.

If you want to earn some money and you're good at sales and don't mind ridiculous hours, go for it, I made loads in my first few weeks. If you want to learn some basics about leadership I would suggest reading a book because all I really learnt in PerDM was that I could achieve more than I though and I could work my ass off if I really wanted to. I feel sorry for all the guys I made friends with that are left in the business and I really wish them the best of luck, some of them might actually make a decent profit.
