Just came back from interview. Whole place unprofessional playing garage/RnB music lmao.

Comission based performance no basic rate, expected to slave it out 12-8pm for 6-8 months for a review. You survive on what you make don't know what's the rate, but you can make up to £100 if you sell a security package face to face door to door.

Not really a scam, but the saying Hard Work Pays defined*
It's just bad you have no basic rate to cover survival and travel expenses.

6 companies squeezed into an office, there are no employees everyone is registered as self employed and you're working under them basically. Good luck to the peeps who will go through this path of a sales men..

I went for an interview at this 'JTG Consulting Ltd' place and it will go down as one of the most bizarre experiences of my life, particularly in terms of interviews.

Saw the job ad on Total Jobs and thought I would just go for it as it seemed like a foot in the door in a graduate entry level post. The job ad seemed quite bare, so really I should have spotted the signs a mile off, but out of curiosity I decided to go along for the interview. I arrive to find that the place was not called JTG Consulting on the buzzer for the building, but instead it was called London Marketing. First alarm bell was ringing. I then went down some stairs into the main reception - they had some rainforest music playing in the background and I reckon there were about at least 7 or 8 other people in their early 20s sitting in the reception filling out clipboards or just waiting. Second alarm bells were ringing. I too had to fill out a form with pretty much the same stuff I had given to them on my CV, which I thought was pointless.

Finally, the major alarm bells were ringing after I had the interview. The woman who interviewed me was very friendly, but somehow it just didn't feel like a proper interview. She did not ask me many questions, but just rattled on through how I would become a manager of a team within a year and told me what the typical day would entail in the role. She then asked me to come in at about 7.30am the next day and then would not finish until 8pm in the evening - crazy hours!

Funny thing was that I was still quite open minded and upbeat about it and thought I would give the field day a go the next day. Thankfully I dodged a bullet on this one. I came home and by chance told one of my friends about it, who then said he had gone for the same interview and field day a couple of months earlier. He said that basically he went out on the field day and whenever he would ask questions about the salary the guy there kept evading the question. Apparently all you do is try to sell Love Film subscriptions to random businesses and that's it. If you don't sell any subscriptions then you don't get paid - simple as! So upon hearing this I decided never to turn up.

I would urge anyone reading this to do the same! In short, this company are a joke. They are an aggressive marketing company who fob people off and more importantly they exploit their employees.
