Nick Rees runs it, screams at all his 'staff', girl interviews get dumped in villages/cities if they don't want the 'job', no care for safety, pushy sales and the joke of a 'boss' will keep your security bond and claim it went negative. Avoid like the plague! I lasted a summer for uni money but some have wasted months of their lives in this incest pit of banging, harassing and lying and there's not a day goes by any of them or me don't regret it. The boss & top leaders sleep around with stupid vulnerable girls to keep them working there. There are no offices the owner has promoted, if he did they don't exist anymore they talk rubbish. Its good people are speaking up hopefully it's only a matter of time before the chron paper or someone investigates and the whole town knows to stay away!

Hi
I'd like to confirm your invitation to our business Open day (this is part of our second interview) on 23/01/2014 at 12:00 PM . This is a voluntary open day to meet our entire team, there you will get to view each different sector of the business and spend some time watching our marketing and sales systems that we offer our clients.
I would like to remind you that we will be starting the open day 12pm sharp until 9.00pm. Please return in smart business dress, sensible business footwear (No high heels please) and also remember to bring a notepad and a pen with you. After the open day with us we will be making a final decision on the opportunity.
Our open day is designed to give you first-hand experience of how our company and industry benefits our clients & their customers. This gives you the chance to see the entire structure of our industry and spend time alongside one of our independent sales reps, allowing you to ask as many questions as you like. This will also allow you the chance to demonstrate your full potential in a low pressure environment throughout the course of the day, and gives our managers the best chance to make an accurate decision.
This transparent process allows you the chance to see exactly what opportunities are available.
I look forward to seeing you again.

- Dave jonesI was in the APPCO Group Support division of the company, or to put it in a less dressed up manner, I was a door-to-door fundraiser for charities like the British Red Cross (BRC for short), the RSPCA and World Vision (W.V). My job description was as follows: knock on 120 doors a day, speak to 100 people, do three sales; unless I was with a new start, in which case it was all of the above except I must do five sales, two of which I’m expected to give to my new guy regardless of their work ethic or attitude towards the day. If I came back with sales and my new guy did not, then I would expect a very stern word at best, at worst it would be a case of being screamed at and told that the new guy would be put on another persons’ team (therefore restricting my teams development, and aiding somebody else’s). However, this was not the part of this company that wound me up the most, it was the fact that the people who did things properly and professionally, were not rewarded, whereas people who admitted to signing up donors who were vulnerable or elderly were given high praise because due to dodgy sales they had shown ‘a great attitude’, ‘great sales ability’, ‘been a brilliant example’, or if you were lucky enough, you even reminded the owner of himself. What a role model!!! *JOKE* Now, to be fair, these people who did these kinds of sales were, to my knowledge, not overly common. I can recall two such Leaders who were like this, a guy called George Parker, and a guy whose nickname was Ronnie. Ronnie did not last long, but Mr Parker is still within the company and is sure to be promoted to Ownership by the midway point of 2014. *UPDATE- Parker's not there anymore even he left when he realised the owner is never going to promote a sucessful office
My day within the company:
7-8:30 am: Wake up, dress in a suit and tie. Go to the office
9.30-10.30 am: Expected to spend time with guys to plan and prepare (This is not as easy as it seems for reasons that will become obvious when you see the time I get home, let alone go to bed.)
10.30-11 am: Leaders meeting (education on how to build a crew/run an office/bragging time for the owner and how great he/she is)
11am-12:30 pm: Pitch practise/morning meeting. (A time to educate your crew on how to sell/ more education/bragging time for the owner and how great he/she is)
12:30- 2:30 pm: Leave the office to go to a postcode (the field) to start knocking.
2:30-8.30 pm: Knock on doors and get sales.
8:30-10:30 pm: Leave the field and go back to the office
10:30-11 pm: Get paperwork done and break your teams’ day down
11-11.30 pm: Plan for the next day on what to educate your team on.
11.30 pm-12:30/1 am: Get home, cook, and go to bed. Prepare for the same the next day
As you can see, you’re working long hours and investing a lot of time into getting promoted. What’s more, is that you were expected to do this 6 days a week. On a Saturday, you could finish at 5:30 pm, but if you did, you were not considered ambitious enough to succeed and would not be an owner favourite, and therefore would not be allowed to progress.
Now the pay structure is as follows: COMMISSION ONLY! If you are told that this changes at any point during your time with APPCO you’re being lied too. The commission is approximately twenty pounds a sale, depending on the campaign it could be a few pounds over or under, but that is the generally accepted price point that your owner will compare your sale too. A lot of people don’t like commission. I will be honest, I never had any real problems with this, because my sales volume was high enough that it never became an issue for me, however, a lot of people have to ask to borrow money from their owner to even get into the office or to get to the field because they simply weren’t earning enough, and then they would be expected to pay this back to the owner at some point, even though from each sale they did during the day, the owner made eighteen pounds from each piece that the F.R did.
Commission isn’t necessarily a negative thing because the truth is that it does allow you to make more money than other people who didn’t work as hard, but it does mean that if you are ill or unable to get to work for whatever reason, you will NOT be paid, because you are not employed by APPCO, you are registered self-employed, and therefore responsible for paying for everything.- Caller: Northampton
- Darla| 1 replyI got really frustrated. I am in a rush to find a job , that is why I am using 5-6 different websites to find one ( including Totaljobs). I find this as a mistake but I don't keep track of all of the positions as I am applying for many each day. However, I didn't have any recollection about applying for this company - this time the name is Future organisation but at the same address. What made me suspicious was the fact that the lady on the phone said I will confirm by email and she stated the first words of my email and then somehow she made me finish it ... I was stupid , I admit. No one so far made me finish my email for confirmation, I assume it was partly hidden or she didn't have authorised access to my info...

- Samantha J| 8 repliesI applied for the job vacancy of "Junior Sales Consultant; No Experience Required, at Live Innovations" (11/02/14) on Reed.co.uk. And got a call from them yesterday at 10:28 using 07850595701, stating that I had an interview with them at 15:00 (12/02/14).
I went to the interview thinking that it was a professional and respectful company, but when I arrived a guy called Oz s hook my hand and asked me to fill out a form and to attach my cv to it once I had finished.
I waited about 30 minutes before I was "interviewed" by Tom Harris.
He scribbled on the back of my form about how I could be a manager in 6-10 minths time with appropriate training and that they deal with business 2 business and door 2 door. He didn't tell me about it being on a 100% comission.
After about 2-5 minutes of explaining what will happen if I am to be successful in going through to second stage interviews, he would call me after the days interviews had finished.
I recieved a phone call from Tom Harris (07950828736), explaining that I had been selected from todays candidates (12/02/14) and that I need to bring another copy of my cv and a notepad to tomorrow's observational day. A few minutes later I recieved this email:
"Hi Samantha,
It was a pleasure meeting you earlier, and I would like to congratulate you on being selected as one of the candidates for the second round.
We will be meeting you at the same lobby as today, at 11:00 and will introduce you to one of our trainers, at which point the assessment will begin. This usually runs for a full day so please be free until to 8:30 PM on 13/02/2014 at 11:15 AM.
The campaign you will see will be a face-to-face campaign for one our current clients in the London area. As you will be spending the day observing, it's important to dress professionally, wear comfortable shoes, a warm coat, a copy of your CV and notepad and pen.
The manager has arranged for you to spend the day with one of our sales trainers, who will be evaluating you in several key areas throughout the course of the day.
If you are positively recommended by our trainer at the end of the day, you may be asked to stay later to complete a third and final interview, at which point we will make a final decision.
Good luck for tomorrow and see you soon."

So far I should have been back at the office at: 21 Risborough Street, London, SE1 0HG. But after googling more about the company last night, I found this site revealing that companies like this are scams. I have decided not to go. If they phone me or send me and email, I shall simply tell them that I am no longer interested.- Caller: Live Innovations
