After emailing Reed.co.uk to find out if the company is legit or not, I recieved this reply from them:

The positions advertised on reed.co.uk should be clear that they:

    - Are 100% commission only

    - Are door-to-door or events-based and not office based

    - List if there is a part of the interview process that is unpaid, i.e. a day shadowing a sales representative etc... and where expenses are not covered

     - Include ‘sales’ in the job title. State that the position is self-employed

To be honest I think either Reed are lying or the "Scam" companies are paying them and other job search websites money to lie for them, so it makes both of them look good.

Thanks for everyone's contributions, I myself would have gone to an interview, had my instincts not told me to do some research first.

I applied to a company called Citipeaks Promotions, based at the same address as Live Innovations:

However, from my experience as a website developer, it is not so hard to come up with something like that.

I received a missed call from 07850595701 and subsequently an email from Anna the Business Administrator with the following:

"I have tried to contact you to arrange an appointment for you to meet with us as soon as possible. As stated in the advertisement we are wishing to fill the roles immediately and appointments have already begun. Please contact me via email or give me a call on 07850595701 to arrange a suitable time."

Look, I have to admit I haven't yet spoken to her, but considering that scam companies stated in the above posts all share the same number and same address, I just want to warn any future candidates to be a little bit skeptical of Citipeaks Promotions.

Funnily enough i had the exact same thing happen to me. I got emails about the job application from "Live Innovations" and that they had tried ringing and went through to my answer phone. Firstly no missed calls were on my phone, secondly i haven't got an answer-phone so how did so called "Anna" work that one out. She also has the same mobile number, 07850595701. You had to call a mobile phone and the adress given was linked to a different marketing email. Also before id even arranged an interview the information came through straight away for a F2F job.
I really hope people do their research before attending anything. They obviously have more than one scam going on under the same name and number.

Hello,today i been for intervue in this company,because i send out my cv for work in last few days,i really need a job,it wasnt a jocke(OUTSIDE IN A WAITING ROOM SO MANY PEOPLE FILL THE FORM LIKE ME FOR INTERVUEW),so my intervuew was less then 2 minutes,i was unable to ask anythink,only one lady was talking to me very quickly,she didnt wont to lesson to me,i ask her to give me more details about the job,and she told me:tomorrow,you will know ,but only if you have a  chance for second intervew,(i am with little child at home)and i dont wonna someone to do not good thinks with  myself,....so i have email  from the same day,intervew with different lady,for intervuw (again),in the same adress,but different company!!!this is funny,i am sure somethink wasnt right there!

Beware of this company. They alwas contact me with same script..... After looking at my CV they told me I have the right experience. I tried to get rid of them as I have visited them and I got some nasty vibes. I was right. They have contacted me with a different company same address....
When they phoned me last week, I said I am only available for the next week and was told they might not be carrying interviews thsat week but will call me if they are. Anyway the lady phoned me to say they are which I then saidI am not interested. She got annoyed with me and told me that I could of called them to let them know I wasn't interested. I then replied that she advised me in the last phone call they might not be doing phone calls that week and she wasn't sure herself if the interviews were going ahead and if they were she was going to call me.
In the first pghone call was all happy and very very friendly to very rude.....

I went to ixl company in south quays and it's same as other companies..... Tells you lots of lies and how this manager who is working there from 1 year is on £150,000 a year it's just too good to be true

I worked for a company like this as well. If you do yout research all these companies are owned and run by ab umberella corporation called podium . Whislch.is just a massive pyramid scheme . They are so full of [***] . But the way they work is almost cult like . The get people to believe they will be running their own company in ayears time. Which means they will get defensive if you see through the slave labor demeaning job . Paul weston edinburgh owner of one of these cimpanies scumbag stay away from.anyrhing like this .
