Thanks Guys,
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK....!!!!!!!!! - Robbie| 2 repliesListen to all of you. whining like little girls. Maybe if you actually went with an open mind instead of listening to the muppets who complain cos they probably got knocked back from the position. Welcome to the real world people!! You know, when you actually work for your money.
So its a commission job - so what?!! Get some balls!
Its an insult hearing you lot moan and complain because you're either too bloody lazy or just scared of hard work.
Truth is there are no scams involved in these setups. They dont lie at any point, they merely tell you what you need to know. With all this unnecessary negativity towards these roles, can you blame them.
These so called days when you 'work for no money'. Two things-
1. It is only one day and its called an 'Observation Day'
The reason being you go to 'observe' the person go about his or her day to day routine. You are not 'working' as you havent proved yourself to be capable of a position yet. You have ample opportunity to question them directly throughout the day.
2. Its also a practical interview. That person is taking time out of their day to show you how it is done. So have some manners towards them please because these people have way more courage to go about what they do, than you'll ever manage to have. You are the one looking for a position in the first place because you need a job! Well they have one and they are prepared to share their knowledge with you. So have some respect for them.
Another thing - When you go on an observation day, you are actually paired up with the best people from that office so you should take advantage of their experience they have to offer. It is up to you to impress them NOT the other way about.
I suggest some of you grow up, stop listening to the losers who moan about something they know NOTHING about. Get some balls and if you have been accepted for one of these roles then try it out for yourself. What harm can it do? You need the money and these guys are fully capable of showing you how to make it.
What have you got to lose? - mhi i got the call too im a single mother of two and really looking forward in getting back to work i was so excited when i call and as usual when you get offered a interview you research the company and oh my god look what i found
- ZzzzWOW thank you so much guys!! I'm not going to my second interview with Aspire-that's a JOKE. I called in today to tell them I cancel and I asked for Charlotte. They gave me one Charlotte on the phone and she said she would note it down that I'm not going. Then I receive a call from another Charlotte asking me if I'm attending my interview today. WEIRD! Anyways, thank you all for saving one day of my life :)
Cheers to all and good luck with job hunting!- Caller: Aspire

That goes for EA Worldwide in London and a whole host of others that advertise on GUMTREE and Total Jobs web sites in London
it is a SCAM in one sense... beware!! - Zzzz@ Robbie: Oh my God. Are you a manager or something for Aspire? haha It definitely takes some courage to sell your propaganda in such a website mate! And yes of course you are right! All of us have nothing better to do than show up for an interview in a 'marketing' position, only to FIND OUT THROUGH THE WEB that we'll be doing SALES without a basic salary! And excuse me but I'm not going to respect a person because he/she is called a 'manager' while he/she is questioning my IQ by giving me false information about the job I'm being interviewed for. But, no, please don't get upset! Look out you, so proud for misleading all of us, slow clap sucker!!
Try being a mother looking for an honest job having 2 other people to feed. Then talk to me about balls!
God, I can't believe I've wasted one more minute of my life talking about this ''company''. But it makes me furious seeing you even patronising us like that! Question your manners first man! Jeez'!- Caller: Aspire
- Mugg DoffReplying to Robbie here
Sounding very convincing there, this company is genuine because the people who claim there from a marketing department set up my interview and when i went there all these guys were doing was setting up interviews for people..
If that was there job surely they would say "hi its ___ from recruitment" becuase i saw them doing nothing but employ people constantly
but like u say give it a go by all means... but im not willing to give up my full time work for a risky popularity competition :) - Mugg Doff**company is not genuine sorry
- GreatNice polite bubbly girl on the phone.
- i was excited as i desperately need a well paid job
- got offered to come in after a long day
.................... After these comments, the only reason ill go back is to put them straight.
Unbelieveable.
It is true... you work,... your [***] off. no basic pay.......- Caller: ASPIRE
- IntriguedAspire is... let's just say an 'interesting' company, and would love for people to share their (maybe good, but lets be honest, mainly bad) experiences with the company, and other such company's. Would especially love to hear if you've worked there for more than a day (so you passed the 'Day of Observation').

Here is the information I received from the company - just so you can compare it to what you have received; from what I gather there are 5+ companies that exist at the same place and employ the same people...

Hey all. This is the one I went to yesterday. Same deal...
1. Got an interview way to easy.
2. Website looks really bad.
3. Manager/Director seemed more like he was acting than interviewing.
4. Felt that something didn't seem right.
5. Easily got second interview.
Thanks for all the comments. Because of you I can safely avoid this company and my second interview, unlike like the few who were seemingly led on to believe this was a marketing job when in fact its a door to door salesman job preying on council estates and people who just can't afford what there selling. Funny no mention of this in interview. Anyone seen Boiler Room? That's how I felt when I walked in this place..... something smelt fishy...
'career820' why are you defending this immoral crap? Seriously wrong mate. Just look at the number of people who have complained.
I'm gonna ring them and ask them directly what to expect in regards to pay and the work involved. I'll post comments after. Gonna mention this to Reed as graduate jobs should not be at this level. - StephTHANK YOU SSOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH GUYS FOR THIS POST! I can't believe how many people have experienced the same calls, with an immediate interview date like I have today. Tatiana called me and said her managing director shortlisted me for an interview tomorrow. I was pretty excited because of the immediacy of the interview. I called back to asked her to tell me what was the job title I applied for so I can look for it in my email from total jobs. She said she would but have done so yet, though she was very quick in sending me the directions and the interview letter which is identical to one Bobby posted. So I thought I would do some investigation of the company only to find this information on the web. Well needless to say I WILL NOT be going to their interview and sure enough hope they DO NOT call me to find out why, as I'd be more than happy to forward this Tatiana and her Managing Director a link to this page! Thank you once again, glad my research paid off.

- All_Juiced_OutI shamefacedly admit that I was very recently 'employed' by Aspire. In a sense, I can agree with the point of view from former/current Aspire employees saying that it isn't a scam, because they do not actually defraud you of any money.
However, you are sapped of your time, spirit and are actively manipulated by those above you at all times. On the day of observation, I shadowed two others from 12.00pm to 10.45pm, and then arrived home an hour later to queries from my bemused boyfriend as to why I looked suspiciously like I'd been run over by the corporate bullsh*t truck. He wasn't wrong.
During the lunch break, I was informed for the first time that the work was entirely commission-based. I wouldn't say that I was lied to about this, but the question of salary was definitely evaded until I had been fed the 'six figure salary in 6-10 months' spiel.
During my first interview, (with a familiar cheap-suited chap, whose response to my every utterance was "that's pretty cool, that's pretty cool" and was generally the MODEL of professionalism), I got the impression that its brevity was such to discourage any difficult questions. Unfortunately, I was so desperate to get a job that I swallowed my instincts and prepared to sell my soul in the hopes of earning some money.
I was utterly prepared to undertake commission-based, door-to-door field sales after my observation day, as I was confident enough in my sales skills that I could sell enough to live on, even if other people had struggled.
However, during my first day of training, more and more worrying details came to light. I too attended an opportunity meeting led by Duncan Sharp, which basically seemed to consist of his swearing every other sentence in order to 'build rapport' and seem like a 'genuine guy', and filling our heads with a multitude of spiralling figures that were supposed to represent our potential earnings. I was expecting, at the very least, a seminar that would inform us of how to develop our sales skills/pitch etc - in fact ANYTHING that would actually give me a better idea of what the job entailed, not indoctrination.
After this, there was a team meeting led by Olu (before we headed out onto the field) discussing the previous day's takings. This is when I really started to get worried. The whole atmosphere, resembled nothing so much as a cult, with people chanting, repeating every word Olu said in unison , 'high performers' being buried under an avalanche of high fives and cheers, and that ever present motivational acronym 'JUICE'.
Most of the other employees I spoke to that day were within their first week, which led me to wonder at the apparent lack of employee longevity. Furthermore, everyone of them was palpably beginning to cease thinking for themselves. This is because you are required to have complete faith in 'the systems'.
If you don't make enough sales - you're not following 'the systems'. If you don't pick up the techniques quick enough - you have an 'insufficient student mentality'. If you get tired after working 12 hour days 6 days a week - you have a 'poor work ethic'. If you at any point begin to question what you've got yourselves into, or lose your enthusiasm after knocking on people's doors and lying to them in an attempt to wrangle yourself an invitation into their homes - you have a 'bad attitude'.
I go to the effort of writing this mini-essay for anyone out there who is researching Aspire and trying to make sense of all these comments.
1) No, it's not a straight-forward scam
2) Yes, you can make money from it and get promoted very quickly
3) Only if you're willing to:
a) commit to working 6 days a week 12 hours a day,
b) spend £50 a week on food and travel
c) run the risk of sweet FA for all your troubles
Good luck in all your job hunts everybody, and if you find Aspire is right for you, then I truly wish you all the best!- Caller: Aspire
- bagI worked for aspire for 3 to 4 weeks. To be honest I loved everybody there. I liked Duncan, Olu, Adam and Abdul. The reason I did not succeed was because I have always beena shy person and it would have taken me a while to develop good sales skills. I thought the 8 great working habits was a good concept, and 5 steps to conversation, and the bullet proof theory were all good concepts. My favourite was the feel, felt and found and green light theory. I was quite envious of Duncan, because I wanted to develop his confidence and brashness. But what some people must realise is to succeed in any walk of life you must work your [***] off. Even if it is 12 hours a day 6 days a week. All the people in our society who are successful worked their [***] off. Though to be honest, the juice bit and the high 5 things were strange. Taking into consideration the fact, the world has been eaten up by americanism lol. Some of the people I met there I would love to meet them again because they all worked hard and wanted to succeed in their careers. I admired my leader because she used to push me very hard, and took her work seriously. To be honest I did lose my attitude too many times and should have been able to handle rejection when knocking on people's doors.
Part of me regrets quiting.
good luck to everyone in aspire
