I once took out candis magazine and they give your number to millions of charitys, they ring all the time so i have stopped being polite and tell them they have the wrong number and remove me from their list.

Save the Children, saying thanks for giving recently.  I haven't given anything directly to Save the Children.  I can only think they have my number from TXT charity giving such as Sport Relief or something. I told them it wasn't convenient to talk as I was at work.  They called back again a few days later, I was at work again.  I assume they'll be wanting more money from me, so will probably avoid answering next time.

Why do we have to keep putting up with these calls, the persistence is commendable but, really, after not answering 15 calls why don't they give up?! It's just one more thing that we put up with in the UK as no one does anything about it.

It's a PFO (Professional Fundraising Organisation) called Listen, calling on behalf of any one of a number of charities.  If you've received a call from them, it's probably because you've donated to one of their clients.  Alternatively, they may be calling on behalf of a charity who have been passed your details by a charity that you have donated to without opting-out of having your details passed to third parties.  I know because I work for one of the charities that uses Listen for telephone fundraising.

This number calls repeatedly, at least once a day. I have chronic fatigue and them ringing just disturbs my sleep/rest!!!! I either pick up and put down or let ansa phone take it, refuse to speak to them. Calling on Sundays and bank holidays is way over the mark. I am not known by any charities to my knowledge other than the donkey sanctuary and don't think they would be this underhand.
This type of intrusion should be banned.

This numbers called me twice todayin the space of half an hour, won't answer it though, but I have this number and one very similar calling me several times a day and its getting on my nerves. I'm ex directory and TPS protected. Wish they'd leave me alone. I have no intention of ever answering it.

Have been called by this number DAILY for about 1 week on both my mobile and home number!  really annoying! haven't answered it yet

I get calls from this number at least twice a day. I have answered it previously. It was Barnado's then, I dont know whether it still is. I informed the caller that I already make contributions & dont have any spare money, but have since been called at least ten times since then, its getting ridiculous now.

I keep getting calls from 02076197597 and have texted them and told them not to continue to do so.  BUT still getting daily calls.

I have had calls from this number also. I don't ever answer them though, in case they end up obtaining money from you accepting their call (which friends have said have happened to them in the past - you have been warned!!).  Ignore the calls.  They have to stop eventually.

Yes, I was phoned by this today. Think its a charity after I sent a text donation to unicef for £5 ages ago...

Got called from this number twice, saying they're Unicef. First time it wasn't a convenient time for me. They called back the following evening. When I asked them how they got my number, the guy started answering something like 'you texted...' and hung up on me mid-sentence.

I've been getting calls every few days, this time I picked up and its people calling on behalf of McMillan Cancer charity. They were asking me if I wanted to donate by DD, as I sent a text donation. There were polite and not too forceful when I declined to set up DD

Interesting - I also donate to centre point and have also recently received at least five calls from this number. Haven't actually spoken to anyone since i've been connected to an answer machine each time! Very annoying!!
