I have had a few calls from this number I rang it back & it said it was a charity & if i didnt want them to ring me to ring 0207-619-7888 & leave your name Tel no & Ref GEN & they wont contact you again

Had a missed call from this number this evening at 7.56pm, bit late to be ringing really but gathering from what others on here have said it will likely be the charity I agreed to an information pack from. I gave my home number for a "courtesy call" regarding the information pack I was going to be sent. Best is I havent even received the info pack yet, and if it isnt them then I will track down the girl I signed up with because I made it quite clear I didnt want marketing calls and she said my number would only get used for the courtesy call.

I keep getting calls from this number and have done for the last week or so. I never pick up the calls because my phone is usually on silent.

It really annoys me as they phone numerous times a day. I plan to just ignore it and carry on as if it's not even there.

I am besieged with calls from this number - its driving me mad. Have answered several times only to be cut off by them ! Thought I had put an end to it today but the calls have started again tonight. Supposedly ACTION FOR CHILDREN charity. Does anyone know how to stop these intrusive calls?

this number called me today aswell, it was a first aid pack that st johns advertised on tv that u could request to b sent to u for free. i txt the number to get one, and this was just a call to confirm the details address etc

Spoke to them this evening. They are a 3rd Party Call centre employed on behalf of the numerous charities mentioned to follow up calls regarding whichever charity you were stopped by and gave your number for the courtesy call. Mine was action for children and he was asking for a monthly payment of £12 to support the cause. Lovely polite guy, explained finances meant I wasnt in the position to offer financial support and we exchanged pleasantries before hanging up. The problem I see lies with the street canvassers. Mine told me I would get an info pack through the post to look through, then a courtesy call to ask how I felt about it. Whereas the guy on the phone said you get the pack once you sign up to donate. It seems the people on the street just want your info so they get commission for signing people up, I gave her my address yet was told this evening I wouldnt receive a pack so that company now has my details for no reason at all, but the canvasser said I needed to give my address to get the pack. I may be on my own here with this experience but it makes you think twice about giving out your details.

This number is driving me bonkers, i've had 18 calls from it in the past two weeks at all times of the day, usually in the evening though. I have only managed to answer it twice and both times the person on the other end can't hear me! I have read all your other comments but i havnt signed up for any charities so how did they get my details? I rang the number back and got redirected to another line to ask to be removed from the service but that hasnt helped. Is there any way of blocking the number

I've had 5 calls from these people since Friday. I've missed every call and they never leave a msg. have tried calling them back and they've cut me off straight away every time.  I've sent them texts to say call my landline if you know it, if not don't bother because I'd guessed it wAs a scam.  Will be signing up for the TPS now.  Had enough! Glad I've checked this website, obviously a big  problem!

missed call left no message real pain as i rushed to try and get to my phone in time and i'm 63 years old.

i have recieved over 20 missed calls from this number, i dont answer numbers i dont no, exept tonight my partner answered and they said they were from action aid and it was a urgent call, i presume they will phone back again and again and again, having read all the comments from other people i wont be answering back.  Will they ever stop calling.

these people call me every other day and leave an empty voice mail

By the looks of the other messages it is a call centre calling for many different charities, wish they give it a rest though, i've had at least 5 calls a day for the past 2 weeks it's driving me up the wall!

Just had a call from them.  Guy said he was calling for the NSPCC

Keep getting calls from this number, leave no message.

Been bugged by these guys for a couple of months.

1st time - Deaf Children
2nd Time - NSPCC
3rd time - Blind kids.

Now I just dont answer, asked to be removed from list everytime and nothing happens.  sigh.

they called and asked to speak to my husband,he wasnt home and when i asked whos calling they said its NSPCA. Dont know where they got my landline number from!

This number belongs to Listen - a call centre employed but various charities to call and BEG for money. Just received one who contacted me on behalf of Race4Life asking for monthly donation because clearly the £7459 I've already raised by taking part isn't enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Lady was nice enough but did keep on and on even when I said I wasn't interested. She confirmed though that the company is employed by hundreds of charities to make these type of calls
