Got a call and young woman stating a market research company name which I didn't remember, She said she was doing market research into which television channels I watched.

just had call from them lucky missed it ! hope don't call back

I had a call this evening from a lady calling from 0208 909 051. She simply wanted to know what broadband service I was using. She was perfectly polite and professional and I was happy to answer her query. It took all of 20 seconds. She was only doing her job and most of us, I guess, are selling *something* in our daily lives. I'm ex-directory so I rarely get unsolicited calls but I can imagine how annoying incessant cold/sales calls can be.

I've just ignored two calls from them, but from 0207 890 0953. I want them to call back now I've found all this info so I can tell them to f*** off!!

In my opinion a devious front to obtain identity information for questionable reasons.

if you get calls in the evening.. pick up the phone ... say nothing and wait for a response...  if nobody greets you or if they dont identify clearly who they are wait for them to hang up.  This appears to have worked for me as We used to get dozens of calls a week... now we get 1 or 2...  and for freinds and family they will always question the silence before they hang up...!

I failed to answer the phone about half an hour ago, thinking it would be an unwelcome person who has been calling me, (who I found out dials 141 beforehand). This time after ignoring the phone, I dialled 1471 and got this number. I feel tempted to call it, see who answers, though probably bad idea.

they just called me and Irejected as I didnt know the number, then discovered this site, Not many people have my mobile so I am very annoyed. Who the hell are they does anyone know???

got a call from this number dont know who it is or why they was calling me at first i asked details as to who they was doing this survey for and they declined to give me this information so with that i told this person if they cannot tell me who there client is then i am not prepared to answer there questions very strange PLEASE BEWARE
also i do not give out any of my details or enter compertisions or anything like that im X directory so how do they get your phone numbers ???????
