Called 8:17pm today, some guy with a really low voice talked to me, sounded really bored. Said he was calling on behalf of GFK something, I couldn't remember because I was starting to zone out on his boring voice. Others say this is GFK NOP so I'll assume this is what he said. He wanted to do a survey about my banking needs or something to do with banking. I told him I was busy, He asked if there was a better time to call. I put the phone down.

He didn't say my name and he didn't mention any banks by name.
Cold call for sure. But a cold call related to banking? No thanks.

just had a call from a young sounding girl asking for my son, said they would call back - who are they

Just received a call from this number (02078909051) and the caller said nothing, then he said "hello", so I said "hello" then there was nothing, then he said "hello" so I said much more loudly "HELLO!" and he said "hello, oh hello, I'm sorry to bother you this evening madam" at which point I interrupted him and said "ARE YOU?" and he became quite flustered and said "oh, sorry, it's a bad line, I'm going to have to call you back" and he hung up.  Those are 20 seconds of my life I'm never gonna get back. I ask you!

Just got a telephone call from an English lady..... saying something to do with educational fund.  Asking for my youngest daughter, when I asked what it was about, they said due to data protection she could not say, so told them, I could not say anymore, as infomation works both ways,  they hung up, very rude....

I am ex-directory and keep getting calls from this company during the day. They want to talk to my daughter who is at work. When asked for company details they just give a very vague mention of a survey?

I am registered with TPS so this type of call should not get through!

Did'nt answer but they had the cheek to ring me at 8.40pm

They rang me today and quickly disconnected.

Just received a call from this number. Did not answer as am at work so they left a message advising me if i did not want to receive any more calls to call 08453003297 to leave my details!

020 78909051 called me to ask some 'interesting questions'. My number is on tps so they shouldn't be calling it at all.

I wasted about 2 minutes of their time occasionally picking up the handset and saying 'hello', 'hold on' etc.

I also got a call from 02078909051. They claimed to be a company called GfK doing market research on behalf of some educational provider...

phoned 20.41 on a Monday evening. Hubby answered and they put the phone down. Seems they want a female voice.

Got a call from this number asking for my daughter saying they were from the Department of Education.  Told them my daughter was at work and they said they would call later - they never did.  Now I know who they really are I'll be on my guard and also warn my daughter to be.

I let all unknown number ring then check answer phone.  Nothing left!
I google the number and end up here - mostly.

getting lots of calls from this number...night time mainly...pests...

They've taken to ringing Dublin now.

Received a call from this number - obviously unsolicited and definately unwanted.

Had a missed call on my mobile, answerphone message saying they were from GfK NOP, which is a market research company. Called them on (0) 20 7890 9000; to be fair to them I did speak to a guy who said my details would be removed straight away and even offered to find out who passed my number on (though with the bank hoildays there could be a delay). Hopefully worth the call back.

My husband answered a call of this type yesterday and said he didnt want to participate in any surveys relating to anything and to remove our number.
Lo & behold tonight, right in the middle of dinner, 0207 890 9051 calls AGAIN so I didnt pick up.
Ive now subscribed to caller ID due to the increasing amount of these types of calls particularly from outside the UK, so every withheld or unavailable number is ignored. Im also suspicious of anyone outside my local area phoning me, so when I see a London number, I dont answer as I truly have no need to speak to anyone outside a 50k radius of my house!
Why when you say please remove us (quite politely) it doesnt happen?
Im trying to get my teens to look before answering too, saves them a repeat of the recent rudeness of a hang up when they ask who's calling. That bugs me more than saying they're calling for a survey!!
