I just answered a call from this number saying they were doing a survery of behalf of OFCOM about door step selling - I am registered with TPS and xdir so should have asked where they got my number from. Anyway when she said would I spare a few minuted I said she was as bad as the door step people and hung up on her while she was talking.  Years ago before tps if it was a call like this I would put the phone down but not hang up and let them talk to thin air :-) very satisfying! And a heavy breather got the full blast from a very loud rape alarm down the phone too, not had one of them since!

Got a call this evening at about 8.00pm, after a delay in connection, as I was saying "Hello, Hello" a chap asked to speak to my wife and siad he was from "Customer satisfaction"......I asked which company was calling please.....He said " I'm sorry i cant say that as I need to speak to Mrs Borg to give that information"......I then said " Well, in that case pal, you cant speak to her and dont ever call here again"....then i put the phone down on him.

Checked the 1471...got the tel no...traced the company from the tel no 0207 890 9051....based in London SE1. Not good feedback from people regarding them at all.

They may think twice about calling again hopefully....they call when they like and dont care that they are bothering you.

They call again......will call Ofcom and say that they are a nuisance.

I got this call today.  When it was rang and I was pick up the phone and a man say can I speak to (name) then I answered to him no she is not available at the moment sorry then I put phone down but really he want to speak the person name is was me but I lie to him I'm said to him no she is not available at the moment sorry...  Lol...  Whoever call you from this number then just saying no she/he not available at the moment sorry...

I work for GFK (not this specific company but a business specialised one) we only ring businesses and not people's home addresses.
If they ring just tell them to take you off the list, we then have to take you off our lists. Don't hang up or say that you're busy or that the person we are looking for isn't available at that time as that means that we will just mark you as a 'call back later' when you are less busy/person we are looking for is available.
The business I work for ALWAYS offers an incentive to our callers, at the moment we offer a £5 voucher  (applicable to all high street stores) to people who answer our 5 minute survey on agricultural products, a few months back we were giving out £30 vouchers for a 30 minute survey about certain pharmaceutical drugs.

The information that we receive is given to us on list's of paper that are got from the HQ of the business or the survey maker, so we don't know how they collect the information about you. (with businesses I guess the information is public domain) also, we cannot disclose what current company has hired us to do research as we if we did our call would come across as a sales call and advertising that particular company, which we don't do.

I do understand why many people get angry, but at the end of the day I'm working for £6 an hour (£1 more than the what you get for doing a 5 minute survey at the moment!!) and this job is the only way I can afford food. I would love to have another job, but unless one happens to come up any time soon then I don't have much of a choice. I'm never rude to the people who I speak too and always introduce myself and the company I work for first and state that I want to ask questions regarding a certain topic, I never ask for people by name (our records are usually fairly old so it makes it redundant asking for people by name, as long as the person we are speaking to is knowledgeable about the product and qualifies it doesn't matter who answers)

I guess I just wanted to get across the point that we don't exactly enjoy calling you guys up, but as a student this job is the only one available to me and luckily also has flexible hours. I can guarantee that we are getting worse pay then you and a lot more abuse in our work place then you guys get.

Had a call from this number today asking for bank details

I have a Panasonic phone which can bar a certain numbers, this number called last Friday and now its on my bar list.

Well I live in the west of Ireland & got a phone call from them. Asked where he got my phone number & he said frm the phone book. Not likely as i'm ex directory. Then said the phone number was computer generated. Wud love to computer generate this company with a virus UP THE [***]

my phone goes to answer phone every time, i check the number if i know it i phone em back my calls are free, if i dont recognise the num or if it is a known research or business num i delete it simple as that.

Wish these cold callers had better things to do then disturb people late at night

Just received a call from this number - the fourth one today conducting a survey all from different or unidentified numbers.  To say that they only call businesses is a load of rubbish as my number is a private number and we are registered with TPS - but that appears to have no effect.

Just got a call from these people, GFK asking for my husband, his middle name and everything. Just put the phone down on them and then blocked their number

Got a call at 20:45 tonight from this number. Claimed to be GFK asking if they could ask me questions and opinions about my bank. Seemed a bit flustered when I said NO.

Bit late in the evening for an unsolicited call and im never going to talk to a random caller about my bank.

Put them on the spot, how did they get our number, admitted to random dialling and ignoring TPS, bad people, this number should be blocked, repeated nuisance calls.

Perhaps get onto the government as they employ GFK and clearly permit them to be rude and insulting to us users and make a nuisance of themselves ringing ex D lines and clearly worrying a lot of people especially the elderly. Should be made unlawful to randomly generate numbers and ANY and ALL organisations should have to go through TPS.
