Someone called me on the evening of 9 March 2012 and claimed she was doing a survey.  I asked where she got my number and she said the telephone book.  I told her I was ex-directory.  She started talking over me so I shouted that I was registered with the Telephone Preference Service and told her to eff off.  Please be assured that I would not have done that had she not tried talking over me.  I should have also told her that I registered with the Market Research Society in order not to be telephoned about "surveys".

Asking for me for learning! I wasn't in and they knew my name





I hope they do get stopped as its very worrying and very annoying

This number called me this morning... i never answered as i didn't recognise the number. Reading all your comments i'm glad i didn't!

keep getting a missed call from this number - every sat about 11 am for the last few weeks. reading the above comments is simular to the mobille number i got as well from a company wanting feedback on a NVQ course i did thro work a couple of yrs ago

Have missed calls/hung up on this number due to not recognising it. Due to it starting in an unusual way, i googled to see if it was a company number.

Just had a call form 02078909051 claiming to be doing market research on behalf of Lambeth College. I told her I was busy... she was quite persistant and in the end I had to fairly rude to get rid of her. I didn't catch who they said they were... sorry.

Phoned me saying they were calling on behalf of Barclays Bank to carry out a survey on customers who had used my local branch which they named. On a Saturday? I think not. I declined

I received call at 15.15 on 03.04.12 but didn't answered cos read all this comment's before.

If they are a genuine bona fide company, why did they ring me tonight to talk about a transaction I allegedly carried out in the WelshTown of Llangollen yesterday, when I haven't been anywhere near the place in years?

These are cons. Beware!

I am going to close my account with that bank as I consider they breached my trust.  Their loss.

Does anyone know who these people really are. Scam or Government. Mind you, sounds about the same to me. Had a call in which this woman kept wanting me to confirm my name. Said sorry this call ends now. Rang 1471 and got 02078909051 !!. as have many others.

Always call when I'm not at home, one message left to call back but no real identification.  I'm X directory and these calls are not wanted!  Who passed on the information?

just received mine from them but I was on the phone so I (stupidly) called them back and an answering machine saying about market survey and they are GOBNOB or whatever. I will have fun with them when they hear how rich I am, cars, planes, bank with RBS. I'll post back if they do call and tell you all outcome - my posh accent is almost believable.

I am really annoyed of these unsolicited calls from unknown companies, I would like to meet the person or persons responsible .

Got a nuscience call from this company (http://www.gfknop.com/). We are x directory and TPS and the guy said it didn't matter as he's doing a survey about banks not selling. I'm going to make a complaint anyway as he rang at 8.20pm and woke my child who I'd just got to sleep.

GFK NOP.  I don`t usually mind some market research calls, but not on a  sunday afternoon. Stick to normal business hours and leave our weekends alone.
