My wife got a call asking her to do a survey about cars.   She told them she didn't do telephone surveys and hung up.   I'm waiting for another call to use my Referee's whistle.   Hate these people witha vengeance.

This number has called a few times in the evening.... my number is ex-directory and clearly do not want to receive calls from an unknown company!!
Nobody wants to know unless its a cheque for £££££££££!!!!!!

This person called on a Sunday at 12.45 how incredibly stupid and annoying.  Research for Barclaycard I think she said.  Please stop them.

is anyone receiving these calls from this number with talk talk as these people have to be getting our numbers an details from somewhere and im xdirectory ! these calls happen every couple of weeks an may be more ! i have not answerd the phone for 2 years an its still going on i just use 1471 to avoid hearing idiots

I have received two missed calls from 02078909051, yesterday and today. no message left by caller. glad I looked up the number and found this info here. I see this has been going on for a few years now, why can't they be stopped?

Supposedly a survey about banking, wouldn't take no for an answer, what exactly is the point of being registered with tps, being ex-directory and employing toothless ineffective useless regulators when everyone ignores it all day long, all year long, years on end?

David Cameron, you've got a couple of years of power left before the next election, want to make a REAL difference and improve everyones life with hardly any effort, stop these nuisance calls forever, all of them, no exceptions, the public are sick to the back teeth of telemarketers/spammers/ambulance chasers. We don't want to be contacted unless we specifically ask to be opted in, it's not a hard concept.

Call from 0207 890 9053  Asian asking if I would help them with a survey.  Kept silent - soon got fed up but this was the second call from this number on a Sunday afternoon.

Sad to think people cannot get real jobs and have to work weekends as phone monkeys in call centers making nuisance calls to people who wish assault weapons were legal in the UK...

got a call tonight asking me to take part in a survey about banking. I asked the guy on the phone how he had got my number and he said it was by some random way of changing last two digits in phone book listing.....on a mobile?????? Anyway he then said 'Can I just check that you bank with Santander' and when I asked him how he knew that he replied 'I didn't, I just guessed' so I said I did not wish to participate in any survey and told them I did not want to be contacted by them again.....glad I didnt do survey judging by comments on here....it all sounds a bit suspect!!!!

I just picked this up and it was a very polite lady asking to speak to my boss, when I said he wasn't available she said she would call back, perfectly polite but didn't tell me company name so unlikely to ever speak to my boss.

I got a call about 11.30 stating they were doing market research. I said i had registered my number with TPS and they should not call me. I then out the phone down.

Just had a call from this number on a sunday saying they were from the met office and could  they ask some questions it would not take long, then they asked what age i was on my last birthday when i said 51 they ask if there was any one living here between the ages of 18 to 24 i said no she said can we get back in touch if they change the age crytire

Called me yesterday. When you have an elderly relative who is recovering from an operatin you tend to jump to the phone ! Its my phone line, which I pay for, for people I know to call me and me to phone people I want to phone. The people who NEED a job (lets face it who would want a career in being a pest) who have to do this lind of work must hate their jobs.
