Report a phone call from 02078909052 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- Clive, TelfordThe stroppy Southern African caller tried to tell me that she was entitled to call me (even though my number is TPS registered) as she was not selling anything. When I pointed out to her that it still did not entitle her to call, she put the phone down.
- Caller: GFK
- jennywrenI got a call from this number and am x directory with TPS. I don't answer any calls that come from numbers I don't recognise. Number recognition on your phone is a god-send to avoid such garbage calls!
- greenblobWhy don't these stupid "market research" companies simply get banned? I am absolutely certain that the majority of the population of this country considers them the genuine nuisance that they are...
They are of no value to anybody except the moneymakers.
Glad I looked up the number here before responding. This has ratcheted the number of potential nuisance callers on my phone directory to 24, as the b****s are just implemented new numbers all the time!
What would I do without number recognition????- Caller: Unknown and unwanted
- me replies to ZoomIn my opinion they check the people or what ? they call me also and wanted to ask some questions about the college(where I was study)
on Saturday? it seems strainge hmmm.... - GFK NOPDear annoying caller,
It may surprise you to know that nobody wants to receive your unsolicited calls, EVER.
You are making money by annoying people and interrupting their lives, and seemingly target people at weekends when many people are trying to relax.
Your staff won't take no for an answer, and rudely hang up without apology when asked politely to stop calling and remove our details from your database. This request is ignored which shows utter contempt towards the members of the public.
Regardless of the clearly inadequate laws that still allow you to harass people with unsolicited calls under the guise of market research, you should respect the wishes of people registered with TPS to not be bothered with any unsolicited calls of any nature. They register for a reason, you know that, and hide behind that gap in the law.
If someone calls your number back after a missed call, you should give the option to remove their number from your database immediately by pressing a number on the tonepad, and never bother them again.
If someone requests one of your staff remove their number, they should politely say they will do it straight away, and apologise for bothering us. Whatever the pressures you place on your staff are, hanging up is rude, unprofessional, and gives a bad image of your organisation to the public. In most organisations, such behaviour would result in a verbal or written warning, or the sack, in this industry it seems to be the norm. Do you think your clients would condone this behaviour?
If you call someone, you should immediately announce who you are calling on behalf, ie who is sponsoring this call, who provided the contact details, and what is the nature of the survey. Most "survey" calls are in fact sales calls pretending to be surveys to avoid TPS complaints.
Dear MP/TPS/OFCOM
See above, time to sort this out once and for all. Forget happiness surveys, if you care about the wellbeing of the public, do something constructive about nuisance phone calls now.
Instead of fining firms for flouting TPS, the money should go directly to the public they annoy, £10 per call seems reasonable. Whenever someone calls someone registered with TPS, they should be offered a £10 voucher to be spent in a store of their choice, this would make these companies sit up and take notice.
TPS needs to be expanded to include surveys, including political surveys.
The law needs to be expanded to stop UK companies offshoring these research/sales calls to avoid the penalties.- Caller: GFK NOP

- baldykeep ringing my mobile and annoying me...
- mollyHave had several unanswered calls from this number during the last few weeks. Fortunately have not been here when they have been made and most certainly will not pick up on this number in the future.
- greenblobI receieved 4 calls from this and the related number 02078909051 today (on a Sunday!).
Though I am not religious, I am incensed that I don't even get a reprieve from these pests at the weekend!
All in all I had about 20 calls from these two numbers over the past 3 weeks. Have they not noticed that I have not answered one single one of them????
For me, this is one of the worst aspects of capitalism - creating "jobs" that produce nothing but grief to the unsuspecting victims while still being legal... If I did this to my ex-husband, I would end up with a constraining order!- Caller: Don't care, just want them to stop
- leahbarnesi have now had 4 missed calls from these people two of which have been on a sunday morning and evening. Had a look here to find the area code and found this, glad i didnt answer.
- carrieThe second anonymous London caller in one day. Thanks to your excellent site I've identified these as GFK NOP, and have sent them an email rerquesting them not to contact me ever again.

- call to foreign numbersI had several subsequent calls today from 004402078909052 and I am not a UK resident nor live in the UK. Very annoying since I was in meetings and the caller kept ringing my phone. Since I do have business links with the UK I spent some time looking into my contacts to see who was calling. Unknown. So I googled and thanks to this site I found out GFK NOP. I might understand the business reasons for conducting telemarketing but in no way agree to this type of aggressive and unreasonable market research. Hopefully word will spread out and more and more people will just ignore them and let them waste time and money.
- Caller: GFK NOP.
- ankieSo far I had 4 calls from this number today and it's only 3.30 pm. I don't answer the phone if I don't know the number but can somebody please stop the 'whatever companies' making these phonecalls.
If I want something I'll contact a company myself! - AnkieForgot to mention the number but it's only 1 of many.........
- Caller: 02078909052
- JoWe've received multiple calls from this number over the past few weeks, always market research, no longer bother to answer the phone when they ring.
- Call type: Survey
- PH BournemouthI get calls from this number all the time but I won't answer.
- TineI just got a call from 004402078909052, which was very weird for me, because I don't live in UK and haven't for 4 years now and they called me on my nationale number.
Thank God for number recognition, so I didn't answer it =)
But where do they get off calling people outside the UK??!?! - CHECKTHENUMBERONELOWERORHIGHERTHANTHISNUDon't know who it is, but the numbering range 0207 890xxxx is allocated to MCI WorldCom Ltd. They are notorious for allowing nuisance callers to use their serice, so I don't think you will get far complaining to them. You could try OFCOM, but I don't know if they will be much better. Sorry to be a pessimist. It is likely to be in the area around Feltham - ie near Heathrow.
- AIDAAlways check out a number one higher or one lower than the pest that calls you to learn about them!!!
