Had a call from this number,didn't answer it as I didn't recognise the number.Is it me or just a coincidence that I contacted Orange/EE the day before to cancel a contract? Could it be coincidence I get a call the next day from someone who hasn't called me before?............Strange.

Just had call from these people,2nd call in around 3 days.Ignored as unknown.Timewasters!

Received a call from GFKNOP around 21:00, they knew all my details including the bank I use & that I had moved up north from London in the past two years. I was asked if I was happy with the result of the meeting I had just had at the bank as this was a customer satisfaction survey for that bank. ( I have recently been to the bank for a meeting). I asked them for more details they told me that I had visited the branch in -(named a street that was not correct & then named the wrong town) I hung up & have called my bank to report the incident.

It doesn't matter if your ex directory through a process called random digit dialling they are able to get your number, that literally means that a previous number they may have called they will use but a computer will change a digit or digits till a number connects

Your bank gave them the information for market research purposes, everything that NOP does is legit some people who you talk to on the phone maybe inexperienced so it may sound like a scam. They haven't been closed down or stopped even when millions of people have complained about them is because they are actually legit and they are contracted by bank and other companies to do this research

i have had numerous calls from this number late at night ranging from 20:30 right up to 21:30 since it is a number i do not recognise after been plagued years ago by cold calls on my mobile phone i usually ignore them. after searching this site i have found out yet again another market research company with a pushy aggressive indian employee. hassling people late at night when they are trying to relax after a long day in work. the name of the company sounds fishy so does what they are researching, sounds like they are fishing for personal info to sell on or use for dubious means. be warned if it sounds to good to be true it usually is. if this lot phones you end the call and save yourself 30 mins or arguing with some random cheeky and pushy employee

I got a call this morning at 9.15, on a SUNDAY! I mean, really? Luckily I missed this but I'm ex directory, been registered with TPS, MPS...., it's a newish mobile number too!

Already identified as GFK/NOP  -  a Market Research Company.   XD, TPS, MPS matter not a jot to Market Research Copmpanies which are not subject to any such constraints.      Such calls might be the reason your number became available as a NEW number for you.

You need to make contact with such callers and have your number removed from their lists.  

Don't worry I had exactly the same, they wanted to speak with my father but told them he wasn't here.
They did give me a explanation to why they phone only that they needed a survey done with him, when I told them to remove our number, the lady got quite cheeky and was asking where is he, and if your not him we don't want to do that with you! I put her in her place quickly and hung up with her

These people called MY mobile asking for my partner by name, and told me that they could not tell me anything about the call because they would be breaching the data protection act. When I pressed them for the reason for their call they said it was in relation to some work that was apparently done to our house because of damage. Our house has not had work done, and has not been damaged. I told them that I did not accept the call as being genuine and ended the call. The caller spoke very fast and I presume this was to bamboozle me, when I asked him to slow down and speak more clearly, his spurioius reasons for calling became clear.
I am putting this number into my phone labelled with something choice.

Missed call, so bit of luck. If I have the misfortune to answer one I always express enthusiastic interest and ask the caller to wait while I get a pen and paper. Then leave the phone and go do something useful. Waste their time, don't let them waste yours.........

Had a missed call tonight at 9pm from this number, very annoying as the children are in bed and this has disturbed them.  Glad I didn't pick it up as I would have given them a piece of my mind. They didn't leave a message.

Got a call from this number. They knew my full name, including middle name that I hardly ever use. Purporting to be from HSBC conducting research. I've complained to HSBC and am awaiting an outcome. Will also call the company head office on a weekday to formally complain as well.

Market reaserch at its most annoying,they must think I have nothing to do but wait for their call. I am alsoon TPS and ex-directory total waste of time. Just wish they would read the comments here.
