Educated English caller asked for me by name, told me his name, company & that he was carrying out a satisfaction survey on behalf of M&S, (I have a savings account from M&S Money).  I told him I didn't wish to take part, he apologised for disturbing me and closed the call.

Got a call from this number today on my mobile. In his initial spiel, he knew my name and he named a bank I hold a current account with, at which point I immediately cut him off and blocked the number.

Received a phone call at 5-35pm said he was from GFK calling on behalf of M&S Bank asking him to do a survey

Unsolicited call from this number asking to speak to my 90 year old father.  They had been commissioned to do research.  I hung up and blocked their number

Just got called, the line was too fuzzy for me to understand and I was immediately suspicious but I did hear the name of my bank, which is a bit worrying.

Called while I was out. Thanks for advice from all posters. Have no alternative but to block them since TPS currently does not classify surveys as nuisance calls.

Just received a call, he gave his name, company name and doing a survey on behalf of Bank of Scotland.

Told him I didn't have time.

Who is passing our phone numbers to these idiots, ex directory, BT call block, TPS (I know they are useless) and yet they still call. Block the ba***rds

I just got a call from this number. When I said hello there was no response. I remained on the line in silence for some time and then the person put the phone down. As they put it down I heard them say something which I think was in a foreign accent, but not sure.

Allegedly doing a survey for First Direct.

got a call from this number but when I answered it they hung up.  What a lot of time wasters they are.  Blocked this number now.

Said was calling on behalf of Marks and Spencer bank. I did not wait to see what he wanted. I politely said I do not discuss banking on the phone and said goodnight.

Which part of GFK do you work for? Your report is highly suspicious.

Had a call last night which my phone blocker picked up as international so I didn't answer. This number is obviously a London number and follows the normal method used by SCAM artists abroad going through a U.K. exchange's. So my advice is even if this is genuine do not engage with. Your details will without doubt be passed on to some unscrupulous SCAM artists. My answering service did operate ,they didn't actually leave a message just a 64 second silent call,enough said typical SCAM caller.

Received a call from this number on my landline today while I was out.  They hung on long enough for a message to be registered, but hung up about 2 seconds after it began recording.  Thanks to everyone for leaving their comments above - number now blocked.
