I received a missed call from this number so I decided to check it out, and I came across this message board.

Ipsos MORI conducts research on the behalf of other bodies. Recently Ipsos MORI conducted the National Student Survey 2008.

I'm not sure how many clients they have.

Like others, I have been called on my junk-phone-call-barred landline more times than I can remember. They usually hang up just as I'm about to answer. Have taken the advice of others and filled in a comments form using anonymous info for the contact details. I let them know that their service is unprofessional and if I ever do have to answer any questions, I will give completely false information, thereby invalidating their 'research'.
How come they're allowed to call multiple times?????

Was on a crowded train and was called by this number at 9.15 three weeks ago, so choose I not to answer. Have recieved six calls to date, including two this morning. Have not had a voice mail left which has made me very suspicious.

somehow my number must be on some list (altough i don't know how as i never write it on anything)for these surveys like this number (02088618682) and others like it keep calling my mobile phone. Most of the time i don't answer as i save there nubers in my phone with names such as 'do not answer' or 'don't bother answering'. Should not have to do this but it seems the only way to avoid these inreasingly annoying calls

I've registered their telephone number on my phone so that it plays a calming melody.  This helps my sense of being afraid when the phone wrings late at night ... I press the "answer call" button on my phone, and leave it for a few minutes until I hang up.  I'm sure their automatic system won't actually connect my silent-answer to a real person, but I assume that they've still had to pay for the call anyway.

I used to think when a "Mori poll" was presented on the news that Mori was a good name, a respectable business.   Not anymore.

Recievign calls from this number daily and it is doing my head in. I am guessing it is the national student survey as they have been pestering me for months (2 letters, 4 emails and at least 8 phone calls now). I am purposefully not replying to their survey because of the way they try to make you take part.

They called me twice today; asking me to complete the "Student Survey" that they had postal and internet problems, i said I never heard of that survery and didn't believe what she was askin me.  The lady was speechless and I hung up!

started reciving calls from this number a few days ago, i was suspicious that they left no message and tapped there number into google and here i am.

been receiving calls from them lately, thought it was to do with the student survey. i have also received several emails and letters about it. not going to answer there call and see what happens.

this number rang me at half 7 in the evening- but didnt bother answering it cos i thort it was sum1 else & then panicked cos i thort it cud have been abt something really important so googled the number and it looks like i was right not to answer it, any hoo,

After calling BT about these pests i was told there is nothing they can do as they are "only" doing consumer surveys, and the caller from this number should tell you immediately.
However, you can go to "BT Choose to refuse" and opt into their scheme to barr calls from this company. The down side of this is it costs £3:35 per month.
BT should be doing more to stop cold calling of any kind without trying to squeeze more money out of their customers.
My home phone number is x-directory too, so it seems someone somewhere is giving out private numbers and I know for a fact if my number is needed on any forms whether internet or not i DO NOT give it. If that means i am not able to use the service of that particular company, so be it, they do not need to have a private number.

do they not think i work full time

After ignoring emails and calls the student survey sent me a paper copy of the questionnaire last week. I filled it out and sent it back but I'm still getting calls from this number, which I just ignore

Numerous e-mails, letters to term and home address and phone calls to mobile and landlines!!! It appears my university supplied them with everyhting to conduct "the national student survey".

I answered on the 3rd time and said I was off to hospital to visit a relative, caller asked when would be convnient to call back, to which I replied "DO NOT CALL, if I wish to complete it I will do so by post". Many calls at many times since.

Next one is getting both barrels with language I would not use in polite company...

0208 861 8682. These guys have been ringing me all day. I called back and a voice message informed me that Iv`e reached MORI - opinion poll org. Am registered with TPS, but it doesn`t seem to help......

Got a call from that number at about 18:30 today, missed it, looked it up online and found this site!
How they got my number I don't know.

This number has been calling me fairly frequently over the last week or so and leads back to Ipsos MORI, some sort of survey thing.  Sent a request via their website to have my number removed from their calling list.

Yep IPSOS-Mori keep calling us too, sometimes 3 times a day. We keep asking them not to call but the calls still keep coming. One person actually told us that "we will keep calling until you complete the survey" As we have no intention of doing so I assume we can look forward to these intrusions for the rest of our lives! This really is verging on harrassment and there seems little any one can do to stop it. Next time they call I am going to tell them I will complete the survey as long as they agree to pay for my time - got to try and get our own back some how. Apparently if they agree then they must pay up......hmmm......
