Report a phone call from 02088618682 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- SueI have 4 calls in a 2 day period to my mobile - I have 'missed' all the calls but no message left
- Caller: Not known
- TopBlue-BirdKatI'm wondering if it's actually worth working with these people, so that they DO know of our choices. I have very strict ethics, and really don't like their method of contacting me, but I also do NOT like the companies they work for, and would like to tell them so! For instance, Procter & Gamble are one of their 'clients', and I detest their 'animal testing' stance in Europe (they're still at it, but not in England, which makes no difference to the animals they test upon).
What do others think - should we tell them where to get off once we've completed their call, or just put the phone down?- Caller: Ipsos Mori
- FionaJust had another call from them - he started his blurb and I put the phone down. Then emailed MORI and the BBC to complain (as that's who he said it was about today). B*stards. Getting sick of them.
- Caller: MORI/BBC
- JJI only started getting calls from them today (which I did not answer as I was not around) but got 4 just in one day.
Why are they calling? What do they want? - AdeThis number has been calling 3 times a day for the last two weeks. I'ts gone beyond a joke as i have a 5yr old who is in bed usually when they call, They do not leave a message on our answer phone. It is a Mori Poll as checked the number out.
You think they would get the message!! I have TPS activated but i found out they can get round this by dialling 1470 before your phone number!!! Scandalous.... WE ARE NOT HAPPY, WE NEED TO STOP THIS HAPPENING, NOW I FOUND THIS SITE AND IT'S HAPPENING TO MANY OTHERS TOO.- Caller: IPSOS MORI
- JamesThis number called my work mobile at 6.13pm this evening. My work mobile was at home as I was out for dinner.
Made me wonder who it was and then I saw the area code registers as Harrow, Middlesex, and was wondering whether it was one of my mates who lived there - was about to call it back when I googled it and saw this forum - glad I didn't call it now.
I have a whistle by the phone for such occasions and if I get nuisance calls I say hello then pause for about 10 seconds to make sure they are listening really hard at the other end of the line, then give me a quick blast of the whistle and hang up.
Don't know if it works, but hopefully it'll annoy them as much as they annoy me.- Caller: Who knows!
- VERONIQUEI HAD 4 calls yesterday from this number with on message at home from that number; i live in France and i m not on the phone book but i often travel to england , so...
- PaulCalled today at 7pm keep telling them im not interested in market research questions-wont take no for an answer, wonder how they have my number on file
- MikeWe are ex-directory and with TPS and still being called by 02088 618682.
- Caller: IPS Marketing I think she said
- martin hkeeps calling have been blunt to them. Also registered with TPS so will report there as well
- SteveThese people phoned my elderly mother, the first thing that they asked her.....how many people live at your address....Yeah she goes around telling people that she lives alone, Im sure, but it really shook her up. She has received 20 calls from them in the last month, so its obvious to me that once you answer a survey with them you are an "easy touch"!
Now I found out who it is Im going on the counter attack! Thanks to this site!!!- Caller: 0208618682
- TonyI want on the website http://www.ipsos-mori.com/ipsos-contact-us.ashx and entered the details:
Mike Everett (who is their Chief Executive Officer)
Email: telephone@ipsos-mori.com (their own cotact email)
and the comment:
I I don't answer the first time then I do not want to talk to you.
STOP CALLING ME OR I REPORT YOU FOR HARASSMENT.
I then pressed send and returned to the page and did it all over again several times to annoy them.- Caller: Ipsos-mori
- alanI answered this call inadvertently thinking it was a callback I had been expecting. Not so.
When told I was on TPS list the caller said they did not need to use the TPS list because she was not selling but was market research!
Having told her I was not going to answer question and replaced the handset I got an immediate callback!! - JoolsThis is driving me nuts, they keep calling me every day, and have called my mobile as well. I don't give my mobile number to any company, so goodness knows how they got hold of it.
They don't ever leave a message - how come I can register for TPS and they can still call me - doesn't make sense. Is there anybody we can report this to? - kayThey called me (again), very polite, I asked who the survey was for? They wouldn't tell me until the end as it may sway my views. I asked
who they were 'Ipsos-Mori', I asked for their name, the name of
their manager, a postal address and company registration number.
...There was silence - 'would you like to speak to a manager?'
'No, I'd just like the information I have requested, surely you know?'... (another pause) 'All I know is the company is Ipsos-Mori
but I'm not sure of the address' Hmmmmmm, how strange I thought...
'So how do you get to work...' (another pause) 'Would you like to
speak to a manager?' - I pondered for a moment, not really. 'Thanks,
but no, I'm busy and don't have the time to waste peoples time'
They call quite a lot, fridays usually, saying the number was
generated randomly - which seems very odd, as they always seem to
call on a friday. If thats random, then I want them to work the
lottery machines and i'll keep using my phone number for my lucky
numbers - I'd win every other week.
In a moment of wanting to rant, these people really annoy me,
I looked on this website (again) and saw Tony's reply (so
thanks Tony). Only I elaborated slightly.
1. go here http://www.ipsos-mori.com/ipsos-contact-us.ashx
2. name - Mike Everett (company CEO)
3. email - Mike.Everett@ipsos-mori.com (probably)

Liz.Thorpe-Tracey@ipsos-mori.com
vanessa.bartley@ipsos-mori.com
Michael.Negrepontis@ipsos-mori.com
Annie.Tokatlian@ipsos-mori.com
(give it a go, its good to share)
4. On the contact form, you can fill in all
kinds of comments - or simply 'nonsense'
4b. copy & paste until full (or bored).
Personally I choose this:
Hi, we are part of the european commission legal
team, currently investigating several complaints
made by members of the public regarding the conduct
of your company. Your intrusive calls are infact
infringing on human rights under both nuisance and
harrassment laws. We are currently in discussion
with the CPS, where we are reviewing the Protection
from Harassment Act 1997. Please can you contact
us asap. Wasting time - is a crime. 02088618682.

Isn't it amazing what a little research will find.- Caller: ipsos mori
- shfit workerWe received 3 calls from Ipsos Mori on a sunday morning. told them we did not want any marketing calls (Being on the TPS does not apparently cover marketing calls), but to no avail. none of the e-mail addresses on their website seem to work, so I was unable to tell them where to go.
Their client list includes organisations, which don't always have the best reputation for being well run, so that is perhaps indicative of how little value market research brings nowadays.
