Apparently it was IPSOS MORI doing a poll about TV viewing.  My number was apparently generated at random.  They were asking a lot of personal questions which worried me so I hung up.

I was also called on a Sunday twice (2pm and 5pm) on my mobile. Luckilly I missed the first call. Thought the number looked a bit suspicious so rang back with my number witheld. When I found out who it was I also saved the number as: " Do not answer!" I don't know how these people have managed to get hold of my number though!

Two calls received to my new mobile number, tonight 17/10/2011. I did not answer them but establshed that it is ISPOS-MORI, a market research company. I have sent them an email telling them I will not answer the phone to them and will block email to safeguard my security and privacy.

Had a call from this number - no caller ID

I received a few calls from this number on my company mobile. I called 0208 861 8000 and explained that this is a company number, and they are not one of my clients. They said my number would be removed from their system, and subsequently have not been called since.

Just had a call from this number asking about our pension provision - what!>!>><<??

Just had a call at 18.20 telling me it was a survey not speaking good English!!!!!, I said it was a day of rest so buss off. why does it come up with a number?.

Just received a call from this number, not happy as it's 1pm Sunday.  Caller said she was calling from IPSOS Mori and would like to ask me some questions.
"No thank you", I said.  "Why not?" she said in a most indignant tone!  I then said "No thank you, goodbye" and hung up.
Checked their web site and there is an e-mail address to send your number to if you don't want to be contacted again.
If they call again I will leave them hanging on the phone and try e-mailing them.
I am ex-directory and also registered with TPS, these telepests should be banned,,,

I decided to e-mail them yesterday anyway, although they hadn't called back.

Received a very nice reply today from a Justin Skelton at Ipsos Mori who said that my number had been removed from the current research project and I would not be called in future.

As long as that is the case I am more than happy with that - top marks to Ipsos Mori for dealing with this so quickly!

I have received a number of calls on my mobile from 00 0442088618682. Never a message. Irritating, especially on a Sunday evening. So I searched the number online, found "spot on"s advice from 2008, ie call

So I dialed the mobile just now, a Sunday evening, and to my absolute amazement Ben Page picked up. A brief, very polite, conversation followed and he offered to remove my number from the database.

It's a market research company called Ipsos MORI - god knows who they are, but I have told them in no uncertain words to stop calling me.   If they call back I'll update.

Ipsos Mori are one of the biggest Market Research companies in the UK.  I did a survey at home in July and they contacted me a couple of weeks ago, by 'phone, to see if I would take part in a further survey, which would last for a month.  I have foundt the people I have dealt with have been friendly and polite. If you e-mail them via their website and ask to be removed from ALL their data bases, I would think that you will have no more problems.

just had a call of them asked about internet usage. When they asked about my job i said i was a professional they said they had spoken to enough and hung up on me.. god i must be boring if they hang up on me!! try that if they ring

I got a missed call today and I thought I will just check google and see what the area code is. Imagine my surprise to see there is a whole site just on this number. Cheeky buggers. I will not be answering that's for sure.
