This number calls all the time.  Luckily I have an LCD on my phone so don't bother answering.  Just a bit curious as to how they got my number seeing as I'm ex-directory!!!

this guy has it spot on - call him and see how he likes it.

I got a call from this number last night at 8:56pm! What the @%&$?! Where do these people get off ringing at that hour? It's especially annoying as I have an 8 month old who was asleep by then!

I have received calls over the last few days from this number and we are registered with TPS ... what's the point if they call anyway??? They never leave a message .. so infuriating!

they never leave a message.

the strange thing is , that if they are conducting surveys then why phone me at 1, 2, and 3 in the morning.

Called me twice a day in the past few days. I never answer unknown numbers anyway - if it's friend they know they have to leave a msg. If it's work they would do the same, so I know it's some stupid SCAM.
Btw - next time they call I do the same as usual - answer the phone and without listening to them leave them on just to spend some of their money :)

wish they would identify themselves on my answer phone then maybe i would answer them.

I had a call from this number on 27 August, didn't answer it, and Googled to see who they were.
I am registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so they are not supposed to call me.
Can I get them prosecuted / fined for this?
I always thought MORI were a reputable company, obviously they are not...

IPSOS MORI have an option on their website to email them to request that they stop the calls.  Apparently as the calls are for market research purposes it doesn't fall under TPS, which is to stop unwanted SALES calls.  Surely any calls which are more than once a day, or after a certain time at night (10pm last night) is harassment??  I have spoken to staff and requested that my number be taken off their database, but to no avail.  Lets see if they respect my emailed request.  Or maybe they'll start sending spam emails too...

I am being pestered by these people several times a day. I am considering getting one of those personal panic alarms that makes a very loud whistle and blasting it down the phone each time they call.

I am currently dealing with the recent death of my father and am sick to the back teeth of being harrassed by them.
I have just emailed them to tell them to remove my phone number. See what happens....

Got fed up with this caller's calls (we screened them with caller display) and decided to pick it up.  Spoke to woman who was 'apparently' was carrying out market research and informed me that she'd 'misdialed' thinking I had a business number!  I told her we were with the TPS but she said they were TPS exempt!!  I then put the phone down.  Hopefully they might stop calling.

Further to my sending them an email - I have had a very polite apology and they have removed my phone number from their system. Success!

Pains in the backside - at least two missed calls each day, even on a Sunday.
I've emailed them as suggested above and hope that it puts a stop to this nonsense.

I'll also be complaining to my local council who appear to be responsible for engaging these cretins - MY council tax being spend on harassing ME!

Keep getting these calls at all times,because we have an answering machine nobody talks,I have caller ID so wouldn't answer anyway, but that doesn't make it any less annoying.
        I've just complained on the OFCOM website,because just getting your own name taken off their list won't stop them. OFCOM won't respond to individual complaints, but they monitor the number of complaints about individual companies,and decide when to investigate,so the more who complain the better.On the site follow the links for landline phones to recieving silent calls. I can only relate my own experience but getting my number taken off their list has stopped all the calls for me.
