02202

I have been called on my celluar around 5 times in 2 weeks by this number and have to confess, i am appalled to have such annoyances thrusted upon me. a working women with 3 children does not need these kinds of obstacles getting in the way of her working day.
I too, am on the network 02 and it would be greatly appreciated if somebody could let me know what this number is for and why i am being pestered so regularly.

These constant phone calls are getting rather bloody annoying! It really is tedious when my Blackberry rings every five minutes of the day. Annoyance to the maximum. Nuff said.

looks like i have this problem too! they have called yday and day befor at 1610 but nothing today! fingers crossed they are gone!

I just got called by them 5 minutes ago... started off with the man (quite a high male voice, south east english accent) saying Hello? Hello? as if he couldnt hear me saying Hi who is this... Then Proceded to say this was a call about possibly changing tarrifs and saving money on calls and texts. He was very polite. He started asking me a few questions just like legitimate o2 calls saying are you an o2 customer, main user of this phone, over 16 etc. Then started on the personal info and at that point I hung up... a few days ago I got called by 022 02 10am ish while trying to sleep and ignored it... if not for that I probably would have fell for it ... it was so real.

Good thing I found this site.

What got me is how they know A) Our numbers, and B) that we're all pay and go customers?

On the phone to me always: As your a loyal pay and go o2 customer ... blah blah. :/

Have just called o2.

This IS one of their numbers, calling to try and interest you in upgrades etc.

The lass at the call center told me not to worry about the calls and to just answer and let them know i'm not interested and they'll stop calling.

It is probably a scam to get you to ring back and cost a lot of money, however as many have said they have tried it and it says not recognised.

I have a samsung G600i phone and im on the O2 network as well, all I have done is add the call to the reject list function on my phone, so it can never get through to me again.

Only thing I would ask people is do we have anything in common such as buying tickets for conecrts at the O2 arena? Only reason I ask is that, I have done and I was waiting some sort if confirmation for the O2 VIP area but havent got any, and the concert is 3 weeks away?

I got this today and it is bugging me but when it rang it said Info hotline??
Im on 02!!
And like alot of people on this thing i new some one was ther but they never said anything and then they hung up???
Please help its annoying me!!!
And i ring back and it is a "Number not Recognised"

Like I said just ignore it and don't answer,this number kept ringing me but I choose not to answer it and the number has not rang for a few days now, do not waste your time and don't worry about it, if you do not answer then it is they who are wasting their time OK. Take care

In the past 3 days I have got a call between 10 and 11 from this number and today it was eerily close to the time of the call yesterday. I have been unable to answer it as I have been in school. I am on 02 Pay & go. Do you think it is some viral-marketing type thing to get people talking and then some movie will come out like "1 missed call" or something.

I just answered a call from this number. The guy tried to get some personal details from me and I asked him where he was calling from and said I didn't think he was calling o2, he hung up on me! If he was calling from o2 I doubt he would have done that!

Keep getting calls for the past couple of days but have not had chance to answer them. so thought we would check out on the web to see what it is. Reading the comments has helped so thanks guys. we have now blocked the number.

this stupid number has been ringing me everyday for 2 weeks now im at near death experience im scared help!!!!!!!!!!

Yep been called by them about 3 times a day for the past week now, I've also been called by a few other nuicance numbers but I have just added these to my reject list. When I renew my contract with O2 I'm chaning my number. I have no idea how they got it as I never ever give it out.

I recieved one of these today and emailed O2 to find out what it was, their reply:
Thanks for emailing us about the calls you receive from the short code 02202.

The calls you receive are from our sales team. They could be calling you to let you know about our new offers, promotions and other services.

I'm sorry if this has caused you any trouble.

I can stop these calls and for this I'll need to take you off our mailing lists. If you want me to do so, please reply to my email with the following information:

- address
- alternative contact number
- O2 Username
- preferred email address
- two numbers you call or text regularly
- date, amount and method of last Top-Up.

Once I have all this information, I'll look into this for you and get back to you as quickly as I can.

Over 4 days at around 10.30 this number has called my mobile but I have been
unable to answer the call.

who are these people >Info hotline shows up as 2202 and on redial 02202.

phone rang... I answered thought it was o2 thought it was strange though

callcenter noise, mans voice said my name I responded something like yes then they Hung up immediatly this disturbed me deeply

tried ringing the number from last call list would not go

when I rang info hotline from phonebook I got automated info about o2 no callcenter to be found just options on tarrifs etc..

phoned custommer services and chose to talk to someone who asked for a password What password, then insted she got me to verify how much credit phonenumber  and method and amount of last top up which was debit card  this all feels strange irregualr but she sounds legit but didnt have knowledge of this at all said they would phone back probably ringing due to bad line or something this all feels disturbing

i know who its belongs to AND why they are calling you!

its o2,the retention line who call all o2 pay as you go customers just for standard checks on their tarrifs ect and to make sure they are happy with o2. if you answer and get it dealt with there and then (it only takes 2mins) its easier for everyone all around as you will not be called back and the customer care team who ring you can do their job,which is to help you.

maybe if instead of complaining and wernt so rude on the phone it would make peoples lives alot easier including yours,maybe if instead of coming online and whinging about the service and lack of compromise the conmpany gives u ,if u said no or yes to the service offered then maybe it would be over and done with,instead of coming online and writing stupid comments and wasting your own time at the end of the day theyre only doing their jobs,try being more understanding!

i know this because i used to work there,i know where its based,where they get their information from and exactly why they call you.the only time you will be called from 02202 is between 10-6pm weekdays only.NEVER EVENING/WEEKEND and NEVER MORE THAN ONCE A DAY! SO DONT [***]! (soupy) im sick of people slagging of an honest person and accusing it of being a 'scam' whos going to upgrade ur tarriff as a scam...think about it.its common sense,try listening.open your ears and LISTEN! its easy!

if you need any help blocking the number or info on anything at all then reply to my post,just dont lie about it as ive alredy said i know exacly what the process' are.

i want them to leave me alone :(

talia if u dont want them to call u anymore,nxt time they call say supress me from the database.these are the only words to stop being called. Dont be rude jst say its causing u trouble.
