02202

I recieved a phone call from this number this morning.

They said:
"Hi my name is Billy, i am ringing from o2, how are you doing today?"

I hung up straight away so i don't know what they want exactly, but i haven't had a phone call since.

JUST got another call from this number and it is realy starting to get anoying as they have called me 3 days in a row and all at the same time - 12.30. By the sounds of things said in this blog it cant be good. But i have had the same number for around 5 years now, so its a bit anoying that they are not going to stop calling me as i do not want to change number... and yes... i am on an 02 tariff. O2 need to sort this problem out asap.

again got a call from them - this call keeps coming in at around the same time - around 5ish. if this is any form of O2 or there companions they should sort it out themselves. its annoying and they keep ringing. if O2 dont sort i out. i wouldnt mind having a little "chat" with them.

GARH so is it really o2 spamming us with stupid calls? i have about over 10 miss calls from this number this week in the month i think about 15 ¬¬". really annoys me

I keep getting calls from this number but I choose not to answer it, the phone rings for only a few seconds then stops. My theory is that I hope sooner or later they might get fed up and pack up. I do strongly advise the parents of children who are recieving these calls ensure that their children DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE just to be on the safe side because you do not know if this sort of thing has an ulterior motive and I believe it should be investigated by the authorities, as to how they get numbers and why it is only o2 I do not have a clue maybe it is done by random dialling. If you ignore something long enough then maybe it will go away.

This caller rings constantly during school lessons
Is there anything at all can be done to stop them ?
This is geting so frustrating now , im in the process of my coming up
GCSE exams and dont need these calls distracting me

ive been getting these calls from 02202 between 10 and 11am everyday while i am at school
i wonder who it is

This number just called me and the speaker said " hello this is Dennis, how are you today?" i was so confused i just hung up

I couldn't help but notice that on the first page or 2, a person named SHELLY answered all your questions saying she was an O2 advisor and explained exactly what the number is... so why are there another 10 pages following said explanation asking the same questions???

Learn to read people!

You have 2 choices...
1. Ignore the calls and get on with your lives.
2. Call O2 customer services (4445) and ask to get the number blocked.

Common sense always prevails!

I just got this call at uni this morning. Rang twice and then stopped. Didn't answer it, glad I didn't now. I hoping they don't phone back, how the hell do they get your number in the first place?!

I'm gettin the calls. Like Damo said, read page 2, jesus.

Thanks for getting in touch with us to find out if the number 02202 is a genuine O2 information hotline number. I can understand getting such calls can be annoying.  Luke, we don't have any such number (02202) wherein we call and give information to our customer. It must be a hoax call from any third party, claiming to be as O2. Please ignore the call or the information given by them.  You can block the number from contacting you if you've this feature in your mobile phone.

Just got a call from the number now.. was just silence on the other end so I hung up. Decided to look up the number and seems a lot of people have been getting the same thing.

I got a call from this number a couple of hours ago. I was in the shower, so missed it. They haven't rung back yet.

I have had 3 of these calls over the last 2 days but when the number 02202 comes on the screen I just let it ring. All my numbers in my phone let me know who is calling so don't take the call it's a scam.

i had this call once and it said Private Number, next it said "02202 - info hotline" i answer on my PAYG O2 mobile, Nokia N73 (if that helps) and charges me £1,00 for first second, or something, because it quit strait away, and when i called 4444 my credit had gone down £1

ok, i called custermer services after being called for ages, its a o2 maketing thingy. i said i wanted it blocked but they said you cant block that number, i said i would then just change to Orange or something and that number hasn't called since... hope this helpz

Got a call from them around 2 hours ago, answered and there was just silence.
Checked credit, and nothing had gone.

So I politely told the silence to go away.

People just ignore it at the end of the day who ever it is on the other end is wasting their own time and not yours, so what the hell the phone rings for a few seconds then stops, big deal, your time has not been wasted because you decide not to answer, just forget it, I have and so far I haven't received a call for about two days. REMEMBER THEY'RE WASTING THEIR TIME NOT YOURS, JUST SMILE AND CARRY ON OK

they call me at 11:30 everyday but not on weekends
how have they got our numbers
