ok this numbers been trying to get hold of me and im on O2!

i used to have a upgrade centre for orange myself so know pretty much whats real and what aint! iv read that people think this is a auto dialer it aint altho it may be on a dialing system! difference is auto dialers ring 2 or three times the hang up to reconise the tone of the beging ring of a call (i.e long first tone orange and three use).  auto dialer like a amcat or a touchstar will ring you if thes no staff available to take the call then it will just be a dead or silent but when they rang me there have been poeple on the phone and just not said anythin which is bit wierd and if you speak they hang up or if you dont say anything they just stay on the line waiting and saying nothing :S

simple thing to do is not give out any info and if they do ask you to join up to there deal ask for their dealer code and call up o2 to check if they are a legit dealer and if you call o2 they will offer you a better deal than the third party could ever offer you anyway!

I have been plagued by the calls too.

Put in the number 08000641087 on here, and you will find out that the same company - LBM Direct Marketing Ltd - is using both numbers to call people.

There are thousands of people getting pestered by this firm. They ARE NOT o2, they will try and flog you stuff you don't want.

So just be aware of this firm. There are contact details for them, so get in contact with them and let them no you want nothing more to do with them as you never asked for them to contact you in the first place and tell them you'll take the matter further if you recieve any more calls.

With a bit of luck they'll go bust and leave us all alone!!

I have had this number call me every day for the past two weeks apart from weekends and everytime it calls, I am at college and cannot answer.

Do they just cold call people for their fun or is it some scam?

Yeah this number keeps calling me. I don't answer these sort of numbers, instead I google 'em. And good thing I did because it's come right up with this! My advice to anybody is if you don't recognise a number or you have a number like this that keeps calling - DO NOT ANSWER IT! I've noticed a decrease in credit before just from answering a phonecall like this. These are clever [***] as well, fat dudes who live in their mum's basement, trying to get money out of innocent strangers. How annoying that our numbers can be easily obtained like this?

I'm also with O2. It seems to be predominantly O2 users that are getting this.

Also I'd like to know...

Has anyone done that "O2 Surprises" thing? Because I've noticed more of these calls since I've done that. That could be something to look into.

They are calling me everyday around 1:15. It is so annoying! I haven't answered though.

Maybe worth trying the Telephone Preference System to stop all unwanted calls.

i've also had these calls Upon answering the caller hangs up but if I answer without speaking there is a silence on the line as if the caller is waiting for me to speak but then eventually hangs up.  I've tried calling and texting the number back but all I get is a recorded message saying this number is not recognised, if it is o2 why are they doing this??

im sick of this number keep ringing me. it started about two days ago and the first day it called four times, the second day seven and today it has foned me 13 times !!!!!!!!!!1 its getting rediculus !!!!!!when i ring it back all i get is nukber not recognised. and its starting to piss me off! it happens all hours of the day the earliest being half past 7. if it doesnt stop soon im going to have to change my nuber and being in a business its gonna be an expensive things to do because all my marketing  stuff has got my number on!!!!

Hi, I got a missed call  from this number 02202 today for the very first time and I don't think of calling back BUT find it strange too. I am also on a o2 contract. Do you all use the o2 network?

I started to get calls from this number last year, about 6 or so day after day at he same time, but I do not answer, it started again this year, about January again about 6 or so, I do not answer, I have not had a call since and if they do start ringing again I IGNORE IT AND SMILE TO MYSELF THAT YET AGAIN THEY HAVE WASTED THEIR TIME & NOT MINE. I REALLY DO NOT LET IT BOTHER ME.

Hi. em just to say 02202 is by 02 and they called me up to promote 02 unlimited and then they asked me some questions for there survery. took less than 1 minute. just thought i'd say

According to o2 the can niether confirm or deny its them. Best bet is answer the call tell them your not interested and to take you off their call list.

Or you could ignore it, but they do pester.

I got this call today from 02 and all they have done is cut my calls from 40p to 25p any network and given me unlimited texts, cant be bad.

Friggin'hell, who is this, it's frustrating. Maybe it's a conspirisy, lol.

I have had this number call me just the once in the last couple of weeks so I suppose IK'm lucky.  I didn't answer it though coz I can't be botherd with stupid marketing calls.  I'm also on 02 network, seems a it strange that this number is ONLY targeting 02 customers Hmmmm.......

I have had exactly the same problem as everyone else!!! This number phones me at exactly the same time every day ... while I'm at work!!!! When I've tried to phone back, the number's not recognised... I wont be answering, that's for sure!!
