- Ci have had the same thing happen 2 me with 5 phone calls in 3 days!! i kept missing the call but today was able to answer it and i did and the male voice said they were from O2 wanting to do a survey with me to try and make my phone calls cheaper!! Then the line went quiet after i said no thanks and then he hung up!!! I thought charming so i'm not going to answer them again!! It's quiet annoying!!!

- Caller: ??
- SlinkyHad several calls from this number. Ignored them for a while before answering. Was told the person was from 02. Wanted to discuss who in my house were on 02 network and how much were they paying each time phones were topped up. Said I hadn't a clue and that if anyone wanted to change tarriff etc, they would go to the local 02 shop.
Our local paper did a story on annoying calls recently and recommended people to sign up to www.callpreventionregistry.co.uk. The only downside is you have to pay approx £35.00 for a year which can be paid in installments to get your personal details taken off company lists. As it was going to cost approx 68p a week I decided to give it a go. Takes about 28 days before you notice a reduction of the phone ringing and so far I think it's working!! :)
I was told that companies selling ur details received them in the first place for example from online registrations and only contact you because you didn't tick the small boxes to say you didn't want third party companies calling. Also for example, if you change over from one phone company to another or electric/gas company your details are apparently sold on!!
If you do sign up to the above website, give them the annoying numbers that keep ringing you as it does speed up the process to block them. Good luck. :)- Caller: 02202 (02)
- mrs kelltcalling me daily and hangs up ????!!!!
- Caller: ???? 02202
- GemstaThey called me once today and I answered but nothing was on the other end. I am afraid now that they might call back because they have got my number given that I am a 13 (nearly 14) year old with mild paranoia. It's weird how it's only o2 as well. I think that another company managed to hack into o2's mobile number system and now keeps calling o2 customers... I urge you if you haven't already got o2 to never get it... because I reckon this might be the case. I know being quite young may seem that I have little wisdom but this is what I think and it is fairly logical...
- Caller: Not sure... not o2 though
- CharThis number has been calling me 3 or 4 times a day every day for the past week. I haven't attempted answering it as i don't tend to answer numbers i dont know. Thanks for the info though, i won't bother answering it and will contact 02 aswell.
- Caller: No idea
- Reginald E BarclayI have been receiving daily calls from this number, the last was around 10 minutes ago. I have answered all but one of these calls, and the person on the other end does not respond. I attempted to return the call, only to be informed that the number is not recognised. This is deeply distressing.
- Jacob TrainerCould not Understand what they were saying!
- anjthese son of a bxxxhs keep ringing me to. i have not answered it yet. but i will now giv em a piece of my mind .
- Blake HunterGot a call from this number and they claimed to be from O2. They started banging on about internet services, I told they I was happy with my current provider, I did tell them the provider though, that might of been stupid, but anyway, when I told them that I wasn't interested in what they were offering they seemed to end the call rather abruptly. An odd call in some sense. Avoid answering as it probabley is a scam.
- LindaI have been getting calls from this number for a few weeks now - I don't answer it and they don't leave a message - I have looked on a few web pages and it seems I am not the only one with this problem
- OI got this call today too. It is in fact a legit call on behalf of o2 from a company called lbm. O2 supply them with the phone numbers to call to try to sell broadband and or upgrade mobile tariffs. O2 tend to deny any knowledge of this company because i suppose they don't want to admit to using an outsourcer. Seriously look at the lbm site, they work for a number of companies eg o2, orange, talk talk, british gas, vodafone...
- Caller: O2/lbm
- PaulThink it could be a trick from a debt collection agency to make contact and get details then send you a notice for payment

Quit filling the pages with your [***]. Your obviously affiliated with 02202 in some way. It is a scam, it's obvious.

- TomI received a call from this number 10 minutes ago and answered it. The woman on the other end of the phone was clearly in a call centre and through conversation claimed to be in Manchester. She asked me about my tariff etc. but never asked for bank details. She also had an accurate record of the o2 numbers I call most regularly. The whole point of the call was to inform me that the tariff on my pay as you go sim is changing soon, and she offered to give me other stuff. When she hung up I did some research and I'm convinced that it was a legitimate call. I also browsed o2's website and found that 2202 is the service number you have to text if you want to switch to one of their current tariffs.
Sorry for the long post, but I hope this has cleared some things up for you- Caller: o2
