02202

sick of getting these calls

I had them call me just now said they were o2 they wanted my name and address. I hope its not a scam as i have been scammed before from these ppl as soon as i gt my phone, said they were from o2 and name was chris. hope it is not a scam

i am also having the same problems with the illusive 02202 at first i thought it was o2, but then again i am on pay and go so they would have no reason to contact me, but then i was tinking how companys like o2 sell on our details to 3rd parties, such as these so maybe this has something to do with the calling... are we all on o2 that this is just happeneing too? as this could be coincidental.

Me again :-). At our work place yesterday our team has been expanded to 5 teams (about 20 agents per team). And team no 5 will be pushing you guys harder in getting a contract. If you dont want a contract, Just say you tried at the o2 store yesterday... And they will then get on with the call and give you a good tariff (if needed) or a freebie (which will last for 3 months and then cancell by itself).

as above, trying to make you accept contracts etc...

i see that the above logs have been made some time ago but i just wanted to confirm to folk that this number is still doing the rounds. just had a call from them tonight, didnt answer it thought as i dont answer numbers not in my addy book

who work on behalf of 02 to sell you other deals, but i dont know why most calls answered are silent/hang up or say weird stuff. is this just on pay&go people on 02?  im on p&g but havent had it.

just rung 4445 (02 cust serv) it is 02, they tell you to ring 2202 for info on tariffs and stuff, but theyre busy at the mo, so moan at them and ask to be taken off

me thinks this is some sorta scam, i just had a missed call from this number but rang back the regular O2 number cos they are dealing with a complaint I'd made a while ago and the girl at O2 said its not affiliated with them at all, dont know what they are up to but sounds dodgey to me :)

I had a call from this number, I didn't know it could be a spam so I accepted the attractive tariff and gave him my details but I gave my bank account number wrong and he didn't figure it out? That is weird!

But then I made a call to O2 customer services twice and both of them said it is from O2 and they offer good tariffs. I am confused! Should I report to bank??

When we call. We make sure that you are happy.:) IF YOUR NOT HAPPY with something the agent will do his best with the the tools if has to make you happy. Even if that means telling them not to call you again. If your not polite... You will get nothing trouble back. What goes around comes around. And stop crying. Your scaring people from getting a good deal. So want deals? Info? Or want to be ignored? Answer that call and tell us. That will stop all this [***]. Idiots. I've had 2 missed calls from that number in the past 2 days. I'm on contract already though and not P&G

i keep getting them too.
ive also read theyre a scam so told the guy to ring later.
ive since been able to bar the number so it can't be o2 as they wouldnt let me bar them from my own sim with them?

Just received one of those, no idea who it was or where from, as they hung up instantly when I answered

This caller is to offer you 3 months unlimited internet or something along them lines, my sister recieved a call today and next time she tops up she will have o2 unlimited calls and texts, which she already had, and also the 3 months unlimited internet thhey gave her, hope this has helped

I have had several calls from this number, although I always unintentionally miss the calls. I tried phoning back once, only to hear the 'number unrecognised' message. I am always a bit dubious about these things, surely even O2 wouldnt phone you more than once or twice because that is very persistent and annoying. I don't think this is O2, since none of my flatmates on a similar contract have had any calls.

Also, I have seen from certain people posting on here that there is a bit of ambiguity on the number. O2 does NOT use this number, they are just trying to make you think that they are O2 by using a similar number. I think I will just ignore them, and possibly phone O2 to tell them too. I'm glad I checked on here! Thanks guys!

Got this call yesterday and got cut off. Called again today, and it was 02. They have offered me a decent broadband package, did a line test while I was on the phone which was correct, and sent me a text from '02Broadband' with a code number which I can use to buy the servie via a call back to them.

The guy was helpfull, and polite. I gave no details, they didnt ask for any unless i was willing to take the service out.

I told them about this online 'hype' surrounding the mysterious number, and they gave me a valid explanation as to why the automated service dials from 02202.

Your all worried because this strange number is appearing on thousands of peoples phones, numerous times a week. Hello!? Its O2 trying to offer decent services, upgrades, and package reviews. Not Nigerian scammers buying the entire of 02's contract numbers, with the 10,000 Ugandan Dollars they stole from Uncle Rob, after his great, great, aunties, brothers, sister, who happened to be a very rich died. Annoying? Maybe. Save you money? probably. If not, so what. The call took 2 minutes.

Im looking at taking out their broadband package, I have arranged for them to call me back tomorrow.

I got this call on the bus home today and was a little apprehensive when answering. it was an english (im guesin london) and he said hello when i picked up and kept trying to get a response from me, unlike the other calls where the caller keeps silent or hangs up. When i responded he started talking away but I interruptd and hung up saying Ill call him back. wel i did ther now and yup its not recognized.
