Report a phone call from 02202 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- BennyI got this call on the bus home today and was a little apprehensive when answering. it was an english (im guesin london) and he said hello when i picked up and kept trying to get a response from me, unlike the other calls where the caller keeps silent or hangs up. When i responded he started talking away but I interruptd and hung up saying Ill call him back. wel i did ther now and yup its not recognized.

- Chloethis number rings me whilst im in school at the same time everyday, i dont no how to block numbers, and we are not aloud phones in school, and if it goes of we get it taken of us untill friday, and if it is a friday it gets taken of us untill the following friday, this means my dad can not get in touch with me after school or over the weekend, and i can not get in touch with him, i think this is unfair, i like to keep my phone on silent but vibrate during the day just incase my dad needs to text me during break, when the class is silent you can hear the vibration, also it is frustrating i have better things to do than talk to a phone company or companys selling me things, its annoying and they should not be ringing! im so angry its everyday for the last few weeks!

- JimbobYou need to answer the call, and ask them not to ring again.
They are ringing all the time because its what they are paid to do.
Sales = payment & commission
If your not interested, dont let them talk over you, or bully you into listening to them go on about the 'great deal', simply say, 'Excuse me, im not interested, please dont call me again.
The contact number for the company (LBM *I think its called*, who work alongside O2) is as follows:
08000 641 087
Maybe call them up, and ask to be removed from calling lists. - JimbobA simple search on here found this:
http://www.dynamoo.com/diary/lbm-direct-marketing.htm
Tells you who they are, what they do, and how to stop the calls. - mickeyYou all really do need to chill out, it is o2 tryin to offer u better deals! Obvioulsy the ppl on here dont realise how a call centre environment works! o2 pay outsource companys to fone u n offer u better deals! they are legit!
iv worked for them before, to all those who arent answering you will continue to be called until u answer! its the way the dialling system works. if u hang up ul probly get foned again! if u dont want to be on the marketing list asked to be removed from the list & it wont be a problem, being cheeky & ignorant will get u nowhere! At the end of the day its ur fault for opting-in to receiving info/offers from o2 in the future when u sign up 2 them!!
At the end of the day these ppl r fonin u as part of their job n lots of customers actually appreciate it because they listen to them n realise that they are only trying to help! In a recession lyk this u wud think some of u would be glad of better deals!
Cut the people who ring you some slack!!- Caller: 02
- MikeFromRamsbottomI'm getting calls from 02202 about once a week for the last two months. If I speak, the caller hangs up. If I stay silent, the caller stays silent for up to ten seconds before hanging up. From this forum, it looks like this started in 2008 and it's now the end of 2009, so o2 must be getting regular complaints. Have o2 not got the nowse to report this to Oftel?
- Caller: not known
- angthis number keeps calling myself and my daughter we are both on 02 we have started rejecting any calls we don't know as soon as the phone rings and this seems to be working its slowed them down hopefully it will stop them
- STEPHIt is O2 trying to get you to buy new things etc etc

- GwynethThey just called me now, and asked me to confirm my full name for security purposes. That doesn't happen if someone calls you! I just said "can I call you back?" and the guy (who sounded legit) said of course. So I hung up, checked here, and have added the number to my reject list!!!
- shannonI have recieved calls from this number two times this week now. I missed the first call, and the second i answered..there was noone talking.. so i hung up. i text them, but noone has replied. it's really irritating and disturbing, and i keep wondering why they have my number..

- LindaI have had several calls from this number over the past two weeks, ringing me at various times durning the day, just had another call from it and although I never answer I did try to ring it back, the line went dead straight away. e number appears to be an o2 number and most people on this forum appear to be on the orange network. What's really strange is I'm on Orange.... Will try to block it. But who is it, and what do they want?

- SteveI also got a call from 02202, the first time it was blank so I put the phone down.
Second time I coughed and a man in a busy call centre said 'Hello?' so I hung up.
I emailed the official O2 customer services and asked them who it was.
They emailed me back and said:
"Good evening O2 customer
Thanks for emailing us that you've received a call from 02202.
I'm sorry you find the calls annoying. I can assure you this isn't our intention.
The number 02202 belongs to our sales team. This team will give you details of the promotions that are available to loyal customers like you."
Alas, they are annoying but not a phishing company, they have been acknowledged by the Official O2 Team as their own numbers.
-If you still want further confirmation about the number, email O2 customer services and they will tell you the same thing.
The calls never took any of my credit and they only rang twice over one week.
Worst comes to worst? Get a new free sim card from the official O2 website.- Caller: O2
- o2 customerbeen hastling me, offered me a new o2 contract then asked me for my bank details. I said they shouldnt need them as i am an existing o2 customer!!! Guy hung up on me, i spoke to o2 and it is a hoax they were after my account details to fleece me!!!
- LydiaI've just had a call from them, I'm suspicious of numbers I don't know so I didn't answer it and decided to google it and see if anything came up. Sure glad I didn't answer now.
