i can confirm this is o2's promotions department. they rang me to let me know about a change in my priority club (discount tickets to the o2 arena and other bits if you are on a contract, free of charge of course) level from silver to gold which pleased me as they rang me to tell me.

never asked for any money and the woman was so kind and informed me of all the stuff i get with it.

also those with an iPhone, if you dial the number it comes up with ">info hotline" under the number. number doesnt work though :(

its not 02!!  I've been having these calls for the past 2 weeks, around 2 calls a day, i have emailed o2 and been into the 02 shop and they have confirmed it is nothing to do with them but a company trying to sell fake insurance, if u cotact 02 thy can black this number for u

Ive had 7 missed calls frm this number in the last three days ive tried callin it back but its not reconised. guna phone 02 cos summats not right!!!!!

This number keeps ringing me when I am at work, it is very annoying and whenever I answer it there always appears to be no-one on the other end, however I have had someone cough down the phone and breathe down it both times I have answered, it is bloody annoying!

this number has been ringing me for the past three days and when i answer it there is nothing on the other end of the line. i dont know who it is and would like to find out. it is really annoying me .

I see a lot of people in this forum get calls from this number. I am one of these people. They sometimes call really early, and other times really late. Like a lot of you have mentioned, they hear your voice, they hang up.

I have checked forums that have been getting calls from this number for 2 years!! Is there anything we can do to stop getting these calls?

Go into an O2 shop like I did and threaten to call the police. The calls stopped.

Have had a number of missed calls from 02202 and am concerned that this is some sort of scam

CALLS APPROX 4 TIMES A DAY NO ONE SPEAKS WHEN CALL ANSWERED.

i have been getting these calls for the past week, i answer and they hang up, if i dont answer they just wait for me to. i dont think it`s o2 but if it`s a scam for your bank details like some one said above, how can they do that by not answering the bloody phone...it`s really anoying!!! arrghhh!!

Got call today didnt bother to answer it, I think it Might be O2 trying to sell me somthing.

I e-mailed o2 asking whether it was them or some fraudsters as I gave some details to the person ringing from 02202 and was quite concerned as I'd read some stuff saying it wasnt o2, and the outcome is it is o2...
'Thanks for emailing us to confirm that the call you received from 02202 was from us. Please be assured that the call you recieved was from O2 and not a fraud company.'

In my case they were trying to sell me a new tariff as I'd been a 'loyal customer' it was more cost effective so I signed up.

The common theme between everyone writing on this wall is that they all belong to o2... thats why theyve got your number!

i am recieving a disturbing amount of calls from this nimber ,would like it stopped, who is trhis from and how do i stop it?

this stupid number got my phone taken on me at school it always rings the sam sort of time it is really annoying me who is it and why are they calling?

this rubish number called me for the frist time, another member was on t mobile and had txt messages similar to this that took there credit i was told they are from abroad.

I've been getting the same number phoning me while i'm at school. Its at exaclly the same place. And when i phone back it says "This number has not been recognised." I dont think it's O2 phoning me. They have never phoned me just texted me. My sister has told me not to answer the phone when they ring, but i want to find out who it is.

Can someone please tell me if it's a scam company or just O2.

ive got this call just a second ago? didn't answer but because its a strange number went on the web to have a look. i have no idear its wierd!!

this number keeps calling me and im sure it isn't 02! they call about 3 times a day, so they must really really want to speak to me....well they dont, because when i answer they hang up lol just decided to block it on my phone so they might be trying, but their not wasting my battery no more! and do not give details over the phone, thats just common sense right?
